Rajah Caruth joins Door Bumper Clear to Recap the Race in Las Vegas

The crew of Door Bumper Clear is joined by Craftsman Truck Series winner Rajah Caruth to talk about Las Vegas. Rajah recounts what it felt like to be in victory lane for the first time, and discusses Bubba Wallace's mentorship and the many steps he took to get here.
Rajah talks about racing with Cup series drivers, and his race craft. How he started on iracing, and the best texts he got after his win.
They also debate F1 racing vs. NASCAR racing, and the differences between the two series.
Do you think the race in Phoenix will be more exciting?

    Really great to see Rajah win, he deserves it...good driver, well spoken and sponsors should love him. I watched him in IRacing before he ever got in a big ride and I live 20 miles from D.C. so that made me pay attention more.

    He was probably happy to beat the OG of iracing Ty Majeski. TJ Majors had like over 5000 ir back in the early days of iracing.

    Rajah seems very intelligent in regards to car and track conditions. The answers he gave were a little unexpected from someone his age and the limited experience he has compared to others. You can tell how much he was studied. Good luck the rest of the year!

    Long time Nascar guy, Earnhardt fan. Just saw someone comment that he was well spoken and another guy say he wasn't because he says like a lot. He's 20 years old and let's point out the obvious, saying he's well spoken is a back handed compliment at best. It's 2024, I personally look forward to seeing his growth in the sport.

    Yeah for sure. Look at John hunter went from driving a c/d cup car to a A/B xfinity. He rebuilt his career from that. Or AJ almendinger went from whatever cup team to a solid xfinity team unfortunately kaulig in cup just can’t compete but in xfinity he was always a threat to win. A guy like rajah who has hendrick as a sponsor doesn’t have to worry about that though. Like say he goes from this truck and he has the option to run with rick ware racing or go to JR motorsports till a cup seat opens up he would definitely take the xfinity ride till hendrick needs a driver.

    What blew my mind was TJ’s excuse to not let cup drivers race in lower series is because rajah said he enjoys racing then he learns. And then stupid TJ well how many guys are really racing around KB? Top 2 maybe? Yeah the top 2 and all the cars he laps while maybe only top 2-3 would have a chance of winning with Kyle racing everyone is learning from him and it’s not like guys in the past top 15 would win the race anyways. TJ is just dumb sometimes.

  • @dedo7326

    @dedo7326

    5 ай бұрын

    What does that have to do with anything? I’m all for it. I think nascar fans are dumb for the most part and forget these guys love to race especially Kyle Busch. He would probably race a full season of cup trucks and xfinty and seeing as how most of the drivers don’t mind us fans shouldn’t care. And if that’s the case then Josh berry shouldn’t have been able to drive the 9 car since he isn’t in that division. Just let the cup guys race with the up and comers. Y’all are always complaining how they have no respect in trucks but I’ll tell you right now the cleanest races they have always have cup guys in them. Same with xfinity.

  • @ericmicke4130

    @@dedo7326 top level athletes shouldn't be messing around for funsies in lower divisions. NASCAR says they want to model themselves after other sports leagues. Well how often do those NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA, etc... players go play in the minors? Who was actually learning from Cup drivers? The 4, 5 or so in good enough cars to run with them, sometimes? How much are they learning being lapped or zipped by and being incapable of keeping up with them? The state of respect in NASCAR racing exists in Cup too. There's just more accountability, but even then still not enough. NASCAR is a governing body. They need to govern. That's how you improve the Truck series.

    Great to see a new Craftsmen Truck Series driver win in a good truck. Too back Kyle got a penalty. But I don't give a shit that he is the third person with darker skin to win a race in Nascar. Having darker skin doesn't make him stupid, unable to win, or at some type of a disadvantage over other drivers. He is more likely to get sponsorship based on his skin color and not talent. We will have to see if he can win 5 to 8 races this season and prove his skill set. So far I haven't seen him fall into the trap that Bubba Wallace did playing the race card and acting as a victim with his BLM racist bullshit. The fake noose, forgetting he is half white, and choosing to be the victim when it suits him.
