Hi Kirk, my wife and I homeschooled our 6 kids thru high school. She was the director of our co-op over 500 families for 27 years and on the state board as well. I will say that they all had a good foundation. The world definitely pulls on the heart strings every moment of every day. I have 2 of my kids that have walked away from God. Staying on your knees in prayer and releasing each one to God allowing the Holy Spirit to do His work in each heart. Praying against the strongholds that have gripped their hearts. Thank you for your valuable information. May God richly bless you.

The Bible and it's very words are infact against itself.. the very best teacher against the beliefs of the Bible , is infact the Bible itself. Luke 14:25 Context 22And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room. 23And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. 24For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper. 25And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them, 26If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. 27And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. 28For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? Again read exactly what "Jesus" in verse 26 & 27 is actually telling , you the reader .. "Luke 14:25 Context 26 : If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. 27:And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. So ie: honour they mother and father ' but make sure you hate them as well, that is if you want to be my disciple Right? 🙄 This is by this passage alone is telling you the reader , what a manipulative entity and cult leader demands of the flock in order to be on the leaders "good graces" Yeah ' real good graces there.🙄

But of course , it's not asking the "Christian" god of course, right? Because Christian God does not care for Pagan gods.. right🤣

I think you are finding the answer to your own question: personal God experiences are unique. A general statement about sin is : trying to fill your God spot with everything else but God! That is why God came to earth in a human form of Jesus, to live a sin free life , show and tell people He is the bridge to God(God himself). So, I bet , because you are asking the questions you are asking, the Holy Spirit is prompting you , the fact that you recognize you have gone astray. So, circle back: it is your unique story with God. In our church, we have vacation Bible school for kids and we teach a simple ABC approach to salvation: Admit you are a sinner. Believe in Jesus and that He is Lord God. Confess your sins.He will make your path straight.

My parents did that in the 1980s, after their church said that Christian schools were taking the salt and light out of public schools. I look back at it and think they threw us to the wolves. Every one of us left the faith as teenagers, to have fun with our unbelieving friends. Only in the last several years has three out of 4 come back. We just weren't strong enough, as children, to be the only light at a dark school. And that was the 80s. I did love Jesus at school, but eventually I loved fitting in more. :-(

  • @TracyR4

Don't implore that responsibility to your children. Sadly, that mindset has started to fail. Back in the 80's parents were thinking that their children could be a light to others, only to find out today that the evil is far too great for the light to shine. Many, many Christian parents have lost their children to public school by high school. Being submersed into that environment for 8 hrs a day 5 days a week for 9 months of the year far outweighs the amount of time you spend with your children. Christian churches are now urging parents to pull their kids out before it's too late. They no longer encourage parents to send their children to public schools to be a light to the world because they've learned it doesn't work. Sadly, they and the parents have had to learn the very hard way. If you love your children. don't keep that in that environment anymore, please.

Be joyous about your celebrations (it's actually in the Torah to do so). I see too many people who are religious viewing every Holiday as a serious infringement on their weekly work, then wonder why their kids go "off the way." Bring them back to being a celebration, prepare for them with joy, involve the kids, and make it fun! Sabbath is very important, too; stepping away from the phones, TVs, and computers. "Serve G-d with happiness," also in the Torah.

The answer is very simple, and it's that our education system and our way of life have taken value out of family and put more value on career and luxury. When family is not prioritized, neither is having children. Thus places like Japan for example are in a severe crisis because they don't have enough kids, and the reason is because career and achievement is more valued than family, plus the work culture over there is so intense that people just simply don't have enough time to develop a family.

I’m a Christian keeping the 7th day Sabbath right now; yes, it’s value is worth including it in the Ten Commandments! And remember, in the chapter right before Exodus 20, in Exodus 19:15-16 God told Israel his purpose for them and thus also for the law- - That they were to become a kingdom of priests. To who? To what but the world. One of the main functions of a priest is to teach law, God’s way. God then gave Israel his law- - For what purpose? To do it themselves and to teach it to the rest of the world, as priests should. That means God’s vision was that the whole world would be keeping the sabbath and the rest of the laws. Think about it. Do you think God’s vision changed? Christ does not replace the law, he fills it up and magnifies it. In both old and new testaments, Jesus and the prophets and disciples explicitly defined the love of God as keeping his commandments. This is not legalism. Legalism is to keep God’s law, not out of love but out of a desire to control love. You can’t buy love, and accordingly, you can’t earn salvation. However, for any human to define the love of God as something other than how God defined it, is literally lawlessness. If you think Paul Peter James or Jesus ever taught anyone to not keep the law that God gave through Moses and the prophets, then you need to read scripture for yourself more carefully - - without first assuming that they taught against that law. For that assumption is the context of a corrupted modern Christianity. The assumed initial context for those biblical persons was that God still wanted everyone (eventually; first the Jews, then all gentiles too) to keep his law. Accordingly you also should start with that contextual assumption and interpret scripture consistently with that- - You may be surprised to find that there is no scripture that contradicts it.

Breakdown of the family has fueled secularism. We can blame many other things, but that's a huge one. 60-70 years ago Jewish families went the Temple Friday night and Saturday. The mother would light the candles, etc. On Sunday Christians, both Catholics and Protestants would go to church. In both cultures, food, family, and close friends would gather. Mama's and Grannies would be in the kitchen before or after services teaching the daughters how to prepare traditional family foods, etc. Nowadays, many young girls and young men have no interest because there was no Matriarch or Patriarch in the home. Those values are gone, families don't even eat together unless they work at it. Many young girls are taught that cooking is something old ladies do. Sad times.🙏😥Stores were closed on Sundays too! There was also a modicum of Civility and RESPECT.

The Shema (pronounced sh'ma). This is a prayer from the Bible (Torah),. It's common message that is shared with both Christians and Jews. You can find it in the Bible in Deuteronomy 6:4-9. " Hear Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your ability,. And they shall be these words that I command you today upon your heart. And repeat them to your children, and speak in them when you sit in your house and when you go on the way and whey you lay down and when yo get up. And you shall tie them as a sign on your arm, and they shall be as ornaments between your eyes . And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates." So,, with that said, he doesn't celebrate it, but may possibly observe it by reading this in the morning and at night with his family, and I'm just guessing but may have a mezuzah ( look it up) on his doorpost.

I think if you looked at the 1920's, The Roaring 20's, you will find atheism increased even if it wasn't admitted. It's a 100 year cycle that we are going through. Along with it is the need to blame other people besides themselves, that is a lack of forgiveness. (1720 - Plague; 1820 - Cholera outbreak; 1920 - Spanish flu) Each 100 years we have been getting a pandemic in which lots of people blame others for making them sick, but we are each one of us responsible for our health and every part of our lives. It's in the family that we have the best opportunity to learn forgiveness and responsibility. When we forgive everyone, we have no fear, even of God. We don't think we deserve punishment so it's also the way to healing.

  • @aaronheitzman

Several people have commented here about Dennis Prager's interview in which he said porn is not a sin. We tend to think of education as this formalized institutional place where we send our kids to learn. But the truth is our eye gate and ear gate are constantly being educated and whatever comes in through them will "educate" our souls and create strongholds which can either be good or bad. Only through Christ and the Word can we be the gatekeepers of our souls and accept or reject whatever comes across our paths. Christ will give you strength to find a way out of temptation. In some of my reading, I came across a FBI profile of serial killers and everyone of them had one thing in common. They were all addicted to hard core pornography. It is absurd to think that anything good can come from pornography. It is even more absurd that people can talk about protecting families while this elephant in the room is free to roam about. Repent and trust God.

Absolutely, Dennis needs to take a step back from pretending to speak for Christian values. He needs to bite the bullet, come to the cross, and accept Jesus for who He says He is. We won't see him as any kind of leader for us until that happens. Same for Peterson...

It is unnatural to separate 6-week old infants from their mothers, yet many mothers, alienated from natural affection for their children, readily do so in order to pursue careers or personal interests. Even Christian women submit to this worldly pattern. The mother/child bond ought to be of the strongest of bonds. When women delegate the care of their children to others, often strangers, for pay, how are the bonds not weakened? Mothers meeting the needs of their children on a 24/7 basis strengthens their bonds with their children.

6:00 - Wow, from a non-believer! Only a year ago (or less) was I convicted of this. My siblings and I gossiped about my parents, and argued with them, yelling, as if it were normal. How wicked! I believe HOLLYWOOD movies have normalised this evil, and I still struggle with keeping my mouth shut and respecting my parents. Thank the Lord that I am now convicted of such evil. Children's movies, especially, show kids rebelling against parents, and they learn by seeing. Movies are the Trojan Horse of our day, and Christians defend them passionately, no matter how Godless those who write, produce and act in them are. So long as there's no swearing or sex, it's labeled "clean." The Marvel movies have outright witchcraft, but it's called "just entertainment." We know Hollywood hates Jesus, yet we love their entertainment. "Come out of her, my people."

And then people will understand exactly what you want to say. Bible should be the point of any Christian conversation. Open the Bible and use the Bibke is the focus point. The Bible tells us by the end, before Jesus comes back, the people will walking away from their faith. Please use the word of God, to talk about him.
