You and me both! I see people as people and not a color. I don't understand why everything is about racism now. I was brought up to believe if you were given an opportunity and you worked hard, the sky is the limit! There are plenty of opportunities out there but you have to look for them which these days is easy with Now Hiring signs everywhere. But you have to apply yourself. It's sad that we can no longer have calm discussions on any subject without it becoming a knock down drag out. Can't we respect each other and get along

It's so important to be participants in the solution, rather defensive victims! What the world means for evil God can use for good. This was a brilliant conversation that really helped to clarify the truth of the problem facing us all. Jesus didn't hang out with the super-educated, to learn what they knew. He hung out with people who were victims of an unjust society, teaching them the values of life. Thank you for this super program!

Division? If we are dividing types of cars, we are OK. If we are dividing people into various groups for consideration...then racism latches onto this as a tool for gaining advantage. I'm white, married to an Hispanic, with a son-in-law from India, a nephew who is black, and a 3rd generation with so many mixed genealogies that it is tiring to think about it. We have created a modern totem pole where certain races are elevated to the top and others to the bottom. HOW is this going to cure the evil of racism? Substituting a new and better racism?

I argue that everyone is a little "racist," that is, human beings are reflexively suspicious and guarded around those who are markedly physically different. If a person in a wheelchair or with a white-tipped cane comes into a room, the able-bodied will become tense & anxious. This is also the unspoken premise of zombie movies (in "Night of the Living Dead," the hero is a black man) & any film featuring an invasion from outer space; suddenly, everyone joins together to fight the enemy.

Dang, I know racism is real because I remember my younger black sister in 2016 through 2017 who had multiple instances at her job at a sandwich shop in her neighborhood when she moved to a mostly Caucasian neighborhood where some Caucasian didn’t even want to touch her hand when getting change from her or even went as far as wanting another Caucasian employee to take their order when they came in and not her. On another note, just for understanding that it really is different when your black and in America. There really are still many forms of systemic racism. I remember about 5 years ago, a white/half Hispanic loan officer that was really working with us to move to a more affluent neighborhood put our race as white in the system. At first we thought it was a mistake so reminded him that we were black numerous times throughout the process but he never changed it. After we got the house, we started catching on that it was definitely on purpose because the area we moved too I believe was at about 1.5% black for around 50 years straight and the loan officer knew that it was a big chance if we put black, we most likely wouldn’t have been approved for the house. With that said, I think racism is diminished very much and all races can have somewhat similar opportunities. It’s A LOT better than before but still ways to go to TRULY reflect a nation that honors God.

CRT obviates the need for any thought, word or act of racism as proof of their presumed verdict. All they need is their preferred race measuring less favorably than another. Regardless of the cause: they declare their favored race to be victims of the other. Then they would use real government enforced discrimination in response to their presumed discrimination; altering laws, policies and practices to favor their preferred race. All for the stated purpose of forcibly making the measurements between races identical. The operative question is whether you support using government force to implement racial discrimination. All the rest is academic. My answer is no.

The critical race theory comes out of the belief that people are victims. Sympathy comes from that and needs others to be sympathetic to them. They bond because they think they are weak and need the support of others and that seems to give them support for their weaknesses. Compassion is true love. The reward is in sharing it, rather than needing approval of others. It supports the inherent, God-given strength that we are. Christians will teach this by demonstrating it. It may take a while for people to hit bottom with their false idea that victimhood gets them what they want. Eventually they will get it because when we are not accomplishing things in our life but blaming others for not doing so, we are not happy. They will find what true happiness is. We are on the defensive because we think we are sinners and not worthy because of our sins. So all of us have forgiveness to learn and that puts us beyond sin to realizing ALL of us are created in the likeness of God as spirit, not bodies that have made mistakes in the past. That was the reason for the Crucifixion. "Forgive them for they know not what they do." Then we realize that we cannot change the pure creation of God. "If you had known what these words mean, 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the innocent."
