Delta kind of feels like riding public transit, nothing special but they get the job done. I've flown Economy and Business going to Manila with Delta and had no issues. Safe Travels!

I miss it to. Before delta retired the 747, I actually rode it from the US to Korea in 2014. It was the best flight of my life. The airplane itself was huge. I remember looking out the window and seeing the massive wing, and the 2 engines on the wing and being amazed. The airplane felt powerful during takeoff. There was no other airplane like it. Truly the Queen of the skies. Sadly, I will never get to experience that again since delta retired the 747.

The trick to getting an empty middle seat is to have one person on each side of the row and constantly talk to eachother until everybody is sitting down. If they see you talking they'll assume you're together.

A this being repositioned to Narita or does Delta actually fly these between Manila and Tokyo? Seems like a waste of plane if they just fly between Tokyo and Manilla.

I think Philippine Airlines should put also Tagalog subtitles (they did not have this) on their safety video just like what Delta did ( refer to 1:54 of this video)

***** no eva does not show seat maps until you pay , and I find that quite upsetting , so I called office and asked what seat available , only middle seats , I decided to book delta , 15 hours middle seat no thanks

I don't blame you! I'd just stay home if 15 hours in the center were the only option. While Delta isn't as fancy as the Emirates of the world, they've always gotten me to where I needed to be.

That always seems to be the case when I fly it also, though my trip from NRT-MNL has usually been half empty where there's enough seats to lay down and catch some Zzz's!

No more DELTA for me. They damaged my suitcase beyond repair. I am fortunate that nothing was stolen. Whoever was responsible (most likely baggage handlers) let it fall from something and it busted the zippers AND small TSA locks I had on it. No, it wasn't the most sturdy of a bag but it would have been just fine had they handled it safely; plus no one owned up to it. The flight overall was fine but it only takes one issue like this to turn me away.

They damaged my bag also on my flight home from Cancun. After some complaints, I was given a $250 voucher. I haven't had much luck with bags and airlines lately. Mine are Samsonite, the real deal and they still take a beating.

manila airport is one of the worst airports in the world. manila is one of the worst cities in the world. i have lived there for a while when i was a kid. philippines is just another hellhole of the planet earth.

It all depends on where you go. Manila has some VERY nice areas in which to visit yet it also has some of the worst slums in the world to. You are blinded only by your prior experiences there. Go back and make it a point to see the brighter side of Manila. Go visit RIZAL PARK and Luneta Park. There are many more too numerous to mention.
