Yoga Upload with Maris Aylward - This 20-minute yoga class is a combination of deep stretch or yin yoga poses and restorative yoga poses with a bolster. We will do 6 postures then end with a few minutes of Savasana.
It's not strictly a yin yoga practice because we don't hold the poses for very long. We stay in the poses for 1 to 3 minutes. If a bolster is not available, stack a few blankets to form the shape of the bolster. You may also adjust the height of the bolster by adding blankets on top.
Always make sure there is no sharp pain in your body when you're in the pose. Focus on your breath and be attentive to the sensations that come up. Balance effort and ease in your poses. Find that sweet spot where you feel enough stretch but not too much that you have difficulty breathing and are unable to enjoy yourself in the pose.

Thank you so much for the great video. I have been practicing for 2 years... But I was in a motor vehicle accident three weeks ago and this was my first time getting back on the mat. Your encouragement was very helpful for me... I needed to remember to be gentle with my recovering body! :)

Nice mixture from challenging stretches and relaxing positions. Bending over while the legs split is not working for me, I am not getting close to the bolster.
Can you do a longer restorative deep stretch video using a bolster please???? This is a great class but I hate for it to end lol

What are the dimensions for that type of bolster. I came across 2 that have same simensiona but weigh differently, one weighed 6lbs and the another 9 lbs. Does it make a difference? Thank you

Looks nice, but seeing that your body is small and compact there's no way i can do the same with my longs legs. I would force myself pushing my hip on the bolster. Would be nice if you include that in your explanation:that people have different lengths and could harm them selves trying to do the same.
No idea what I'm supposed to do and feel in these poses. I wouldn't recommend it!
