I really like this new song, it sounds like the classic purple. I am 37 years old, from Lima, Perú. I listen Deep Purple since i was a child, thanks to my father who was a big fan of deep purple. I have seen DP 3 times, in my country in 2008, and in Chile and Colombia in 2023, and this year i will travel again to Chile in order to see these monsters in september. Gentlemen - Ian-1, Ian-2, Roger, Don, Simon... absolutely amazing. I have a feeling Deep Purple is reborn. Sounds like the best decades of your 60 years presence on stage. Same here, although I'm a few years older. I discovered Purple in the early 90ies through some friends and couldn't believe how lucky I was to see them live in '93 (one of the last shows with the class Mark 2 lineup). They were considered "rock dinosaurs" back then. Who would have known that they are alive and kicking in 2024?. They still sound very good, although the new songs are not as memorable for me, but they haven't been since Jon Lord left the band, over 20 years ago now. Notable exception: Nothing at all, I love this song.

Same here. When I was a kid listening to Metallica and Megadeth visiting my dad one time. I decided to look through his vinyl collection... I stumbled upon Deep purple In rock, Machine head and Burn. I was like, what is this? It says Machine head on the cover... I know a band called Machine head... so I put it on... And I was not disappointed haha! Highway star, Child in time, Burn, and I was also blown away by the instrumental on Burn "'A' 200" which kind of reminded me of video game music I had heard. So that's when dots to Nobuo Uematsu started to materialise. It was a trip haha!

I still have my very first guitar it was a cheap Jedson Telecaster copy which I got mail order out of the Melody Maker from Sound City Music in Shaftsbury Avenue at a cost of £19.99 including a little practise amp, a pick a strap and a set of tuning pipes.. All these years later I'm still playing Ritchie Blackmore riffs all be it on rather more expensive guitars these days.🤘🤘🤘🤘

And I never tire of listening to their music. I often resort to Deep Purple's music in order to recharge my batteries. Their music will live forever.

No I do not live in years gone by but I did have wonderful times back then. The music was, is like none other music played nowadays. Oh yeah the music of today is wonderful but it’s like a vintage classic car or truck. Not made like before. I still Bracket Race my old HS car, it’s a ‘71 Dodge Charger SE 440 and she knocks out today’s Camaro’s and Mustangs and Challenger’s including older models too. Guess I’m vintage too! Because I’ve heard someone say- Don’t mess with that old man and his bad-Ass MOPAR.

My first album was Deep Purple in Rock buyed in 1970. Now its 2024 54 years ago and they still keep on rocking.

I'm 102, my father is 143 and my son is 83. We all love to jam to In Rock on long road trips

Deep Purple is the reason I started playing the guitar and how I ended up being a musician. Having been born in the early 90s, I obviously got into them way past their commercial peak. As a kid I fell into the 'I was born in the wrong era' trap. But the lesson I learned from Deep Purple is the importance of being in it for the music. When Steve Morse joined in the 90s, the kind of hard rock Deep Purple was known for was no longer a thing (although their influence was certainly present in the grunge and post grunge of the time) but they still played with the same passion they always had, and probably even more so with the more wholesome vibe Morse brought to the band's chemistry. I finally saw them live in 2006, when almost all the members were over or nearing 60. I missed the presence of Jon Lord but they replaced him with the only person who could, Don Airey. And boy, they played. My ears rang for 2 glorious days after the gig. I got to see them again in 2023, playing a festival with much younger bands and while Gillan's voice had considerably weakened (which is allowed for a nearly-80 year old man), Glover and Paice still played like it Osaka in 1972, and Simon McBride more than delivered as Morse's successor. And now, it's 2024, and I get a little emotional that these dudes, particularly Gillan, Paice and Glover are still making new music after over half a century while virtually all their 70s contemporaries either have either broken up or have sadly passed on. Truly a one of a kind band.

It's crazy. After over 60 years, Deep Purple is still active. We are appreciative of their continued presence.

I was 14 in 1970 when I bought Deep Purple in Rock after listening to my older cousins copy. It inspired me to pick up the electric guitar and was the catalyst for lifelong love affair with classic rock music. I'm still playing Ritchie Blackmore riffs 54 years later..🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

❤ He lives on in you mate. As in he has passed on his love of music to you. Enjoy it and smile for him.( I lost my Son a year ago, I am 73 he was just 47, his greatest passion was music. From an early age he was listening to my vinyl collection and it stayed with him for his very short life.

No matter how much time goes by, Deep Purple will always be the greatest rock band of all time, even though no movie has ever been made about the group or any of its members.

Не соглашусь, для меня примитивненько и прямолинейно звучат. Однозначно классика и одним словом, динозавры. Их коллегии конкуренты Led Zeppelin , как по мне, более изысканней да с изворотами лабают. Или, скажем, Scorpions взять, тоже поприятней и навороченней, особенно ндравится весь элбум Savage Amusement.

Being a lifelong Deep Purple fan I must say this is a damned good song. I was 14 when “Shades Of Deep Purple” came out. Needless to say I embrace the Blackmore era.

Мне 70. Я безумно обажаю и люблю эту группу. Был 6 - раз на их концерте. Последний концерт был 25 - го июня в Стамбуле. Я был счастлив видить их снова. Сыграли потрясающе. Вот только Гилан не мог петь, голос пропадал от начала концерта до конца. Наверно был болен. Пожелаем Гилану, Гловеру и Пейсу, крепкого здоровья и долгих радостных лет жизни. Как прошёл концерт это не главное, главное то, что мы увидели их. Дип Пёрпл - это частичка нашего сердца, нашей молодости и нашей жизни, которую мы любим и будем любить всегда. Yes, I´m convinced, that´s enough guys. I´m 100% sure, that the new DP album will be my Album Of The Year for sure. I´ve very much liked all the three singles, just what I crave at this moment in this world I´m living. Still remember how excited I was in 1984 when Perfect Strangers came out. My favorite DP record, still. Little did I know, that I would be nearly as excited for the upcoming DP album in 2024. After all, as a 14 year old boy I lived for the day. Happy times !

JON and RITCHIE were the heart of DP. And maybe its genius drummer too…Not this hijacking pirate with his ugly lyric agendas……Steve was a good bloke and a brilliant player who did his own thing with it…New guy is also a true virtuoso…And guys like David C would have given people the benefit of the doubt. It is awfully funny though that they credit crew like the gaffer and all the styling ASSISTANTS, but nothing on who the BAND MEMBERS are! Yes, I know, all you big fans are like "Well, it's obviously blah blah", but us more casual fans might want a clue. I think there would be a tad more audience curiously over that than who is teasing what's left of their hair!

64 years young here! These are my boys of my youth and have remained for the rest of my life. Impeccable sound, eternal legends.

The essential sound of deep purple is wonderful!

I was in high school when I discovered ‘Smoke on the Water’ and that introduced me to Deep Purple. I have always been a fan of DP ever since. I’m 45 now and listening to this brand new track takes me back in time when I first discovered the band. This is absolutely amazing. DP rules 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

I was only a teenager brat in 2011 - 16 years old - and it was my first rock concert ever at the beach in my hometown, Fortaleza - Brazil. After weeks of anticipation i was finally seeeing these guys, rocking in that hot night and killing everyone with every song. One of the happiest days of my life. Now i'm almost 30's and hopefully i will see you guys again. One of the greatest bands of all time, Deep Purple.

These Guys are still going strong. They are getting on in Years, but so am I now. I saw these great Rock Musicians at Concerts when they were still very young, when they were still jumping around on the Stage. Back then I could also hop and jumpregardless, I still love Deep Purple

I love how all these new singles incorporate all the good ol sound from Deep Purple. All good songs so far

I'm 66 and saw them on the Machine Head tour when I was a kid. It remains in the top three gigs I've ever seen and I've seen thousands. This holds up really well.

I pre-ordered the album in purple vinyl. This is the music I like. 53 years old, Kansas.

'Smoke on the water' was one of my favorite tunes when growing up.

Deep Purple was my favorite Heavy Metal band in its first incarnation. It seemed like a Supergroup to me. I was and still am a Jazz guy first at age 64, but I still listen to Deep Purple. Even without standouts Jon Lord and Ritchie Blackmore, I still love their sound. I liked Whitesnake and Rainbow as well, both of which I saw live in the late 1970s. I didn't get to see the Machine Head lineup until 1985. My memories from my younger days do influence what I listen to today. Yet, I really like the current Lead Guitarist and Keyboardist. For this old fat guy, Deep Purple is still very relevant! The lineup from 2022 to the present has kick started my interest in Deep Purple to the point where I am purchasing the new songs. That's quite a feat, since I almost exclusively buy Jazz these days.

@@CB-xr1eg it was a common English idiom although less polite back in the day. I don't think the younger generations even know what it implies let alone would ever use it.

Thanks to my father i grew up with great music and bands like Deep Purple I lost him a month ago and i miss him every day.. I'm sure if he listened to this song he would be happy to know that the band still rocks 💪🏻🤘🏻

@@REVfour20 That wasn't a Beatles song though. It was a Lennon solo song written in the early 70s, with parts added onto it. Marketed as Beatles for the gullible fools who don't know any better.

So thankful to my Uncle and my neighbour who introduced me to this Legendary band back in 88. At that time i was 9 years old. Still listening to their albums till this day.
