The best version of Iron Maiden, this debut album is amongst the best debut albums in rock history, it's just really good.
Early Maiden is tremendous, really raw.
Lex has the right shirt for it. According to Paul Di'Anno, the title and concept of this song came from his grandfather. Di'Anno told us: "I lost him in 1980, when I was on tour. He was a diabetic. They cut off his toe and his heel, then he lost his leg from the knee down, and he just sort of gave up. 'Remember Tomorrow,' that is what he always used to say - that was his little catch phrase. 'You never know what is going to happen, remember tomorrow, it might be a better day.'" Source: Songfacts

Thanks for the clarity on that one. So it's more about the title than anything
Paul Dianno's two albums with Iron Maiden was enough to make him a legend in heavy metal.
Just something about those first two albums......magical.

I've always preferred these two albums. I think its the rawness. These records sound like what i imagine a grimey Thatcher era British rock and roll club to sound like.

Spot on 🎯
As much as I love Bruce Dickinson, the Paul Di'anno years are some of my favorite. I still have somewhere a jean jacket that was oil painted by a girl I knew with Eddie from the first album cover on the back. Eventually the sleeves got very tattered and I cut them off and wore it over the top of my leather jacket. '84-'85.🤟🏻
This music change my life when I was 15 in 1981. The guitar tones were revolutionary. They still bring it.

Yes sir!! A kid brought the album to school in ‘80 and I thought the cover was so cool then he played it and I’ve been calling them the greatest band ever
Up the Irons! Early Iron Maiden! So raw. Definitely a precursor to what they would become.
(Former) Iron Maiden singer Paul Di'Anno wrote the lyrics to 'Remember tomorrow' as a tribute to his grandfather, who had just passed away... Steve Harris (bass) wrote the music. It was one of the earliest Iron Maiden classics, released in 1980 on the first album.
The sheer raw power in those first two albums. They had metal heads everywhere stopping to listen.
Most people think Bruce Dickinson was Iron Maiden's original singer but it was Paul Dianno on the first 2 Maiden albums. This song along with most tracks on the Killer's album are Iron Maiden's finest musical moment
Paul Di Anno did an incredible job on vocals on the frist two Maiden albums
"Ides of March" + "Wrathchild" please (play both together), off the album from Lex's shirt, "Killers".

Yes, they go together, the former is the lead-in for the later and both provide thrilling lead guitar and then a gut punch. Please do BOTH!

Might as well listen to killers also….up the irons!
What an awesome song, the first time we saw Iron Maiden was when they first came over to the states, they opened for Judas Priest and that was a night where they melted your face off, both band were in overdrive, Steve Harris is a monster on base and the real leader of that great band. I like the 2 albums with Paul Di'anno on vocals, they are damn fine efforts and set up the greatness they quickly became when Bruce Dickinson took over the lead vocals spot. Great choice, you 2 Rock and wish you both nothing but the best! Rock On and Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶

No need to whatsapp me,lol. We must have seen them around the same time I reckon.Saw them in Aberdeen,UK around 1980.It wasnt Dickinson on vocals,so guessing it may have been Di'Anno back then? We were there to see Judas Priest, who had 'Breaking the law' in the charts at the time, but we were undecided as to which performance was better
This song and the album it's from, absolutely sums up (along with a handful of other bands) the phenomenon/few years of an era called the 'NWOBHM' or New Wave of British Heavy Metal'. I'm a Brit who was late teens into early 20s when this came out and the NWOBHM was huge in the UK. Going to metal gigs, buying the albums, collecting the band patches to sew on our jackets. It was a fantastic time to be into music.
I will continue to praise the first 8 Maiden albums as some of the finest in the genre, and the best work of the the best band in the genre, for my money. Up The Irons \m/
Paul DiAnno had a great metal voice, but Bruce took it to another level energetically.

Paul sings on the only Maiden albums I like, never could get into Bruce's voice
I love the early Iron Maiden with Paul Di'Anno, as it feels so raw. You can hear this and other songs developing into the finished band once Bruce Dickinson joined the band. This took them to a whole new level. If you haven't already done it, you should react to Phantom Of The Opera, which was the first time I had heard Iron Maiden, even if it was only for a 30-second TV commercial promoting Lucozade in the UK around 1982. This is my favourite song from the first Iron Maiden album, still to this day.
The instrumental part of this track, with both guitars galloping with the bass, is fantastic.
Iron maiden are one of the greatest bands ever and still going today up the iron's love the T shirt lex 🇬🇧🇺🇲
Even though they didn't really break through until Dickinson joined the band, I actually am more fond of the first 2 albums.
It’s about time you got into some early iron maiden with Paul Di’Anno at the vocals
Original line up i love their 2 first albums with singer Paul dianno
I feel so lucky to see Paul with Iron Maiden his last year of touring. They always put on an incredible show.
The first 2 albums with Paul Di Anno on Vocals were great. Totally different vibe and deffo with some Punky elements to them.
There are still so many great Maiden songs to do, especially with Paul on vocals. Prodigal Son, Killers, Wrathchild, Charlotte The Harlot, just to name a few.
Caught Somewhere In Time by them 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
The iron maiden shirt Lex is wearing is The Killers Tour. My first concert , they opened for U.F.O. in long Beach.
My first MC jacket in the 1980s had Eddie from the Killers cover art on it. Those were some fun days- not a care in the world.
Murders in the Rue Morgue, Strange World, Phantom of the Opera... there are so many great Di'Anno songs. And Killers is their best album. :P
Up the Iron’s 🤘🤘
underrated gem from their catalog
Love this song...missed this livestream. Nice surprise to see this reaction pop up. Should be baby soon! Congrats!
Yes! these first 2 albums are fantastic beginning to end.
I haven't listened to this in over 30 years: not bad for a first album.
UP THE IRONS! I'm happy to see you two continue to open your Iron Maiden horizons. You may or may not know the vocalist (Paul Di'anno) and drummer (Clive Burr) are different on this album. Bruce Dickinson and Nicko Mcbrain came later.

Stratton on guitar too. No Adrian til Killers.
Thank you for the upload and reaction. IMO the first two Iron Maiden albums were their best, raw, and energetic enhanced by Paul Di'anno's vocals, all killer and no filler. I highly recommend you try Prodigal Son off the Killers album.
I saw Alice Cooper open for Maiden in NY. OMG ! What a GREAT show !!!
The very best of Iron Maiden on the first two albums then came opera Maiden
I was just listening to this song this morning hahaha, such a classic 💕
I'm living the tomorrow's that I thought about when I first heard this song 🤔🙂
Lex knew Iron Maiden rocked on that song; I must admit. Just subbed cool channel. I mowed 3 yards to get the "Piece of Mind" album at the old Wal-Mart on the new release carousel. Dad thought since I was ten years old, I should not get it. I mowed the damn yards; we made that deal.
Love this song so much, especially the live version of Maiden Japan, the vocal delivery is much more intense there.
Running Free is another great song from early days, love the shirt Lex!
Thank you thank you thank you for reviewing this song. One of my favorites before Bruce took over on vocals. Next, you should try "Strange World". Paul was pretty good in his day.
My mate Graham was in Killers with DiAnno in the 90's
This didn't phase Brad AT ALL. Too focused on the lyrics and not the actual music. This song and album was BRILLIANT and yes Lex, Paul (the singer) had a TON of soul in his singing on this one and on "Prodigal Son" which was on their follow-up album, Killers.
Yep Paul Di'anno did live his life in a hell'ish way.
In my top 3 fav bands of all time!
I think fuckn awesome is the best description!😎
Somehow this was sort of a tribute to Paul Dianno's (vocalist) grandfather who passed, though the lyrics are pretty mysterious.
Oh yeah, I'm here for this. Early Maiden.❤
Love the first 2 Maiden albums, but this isn't my favorite song. You need to check out "Killers", "Phantom Of The Opera", or "The Ides Of March/Wrathchild" (as one song). Bought that same Maiden shirt at concert when they opened for Judas Priest on their Point of Entry Tour. 1982, I believe? Still have the shirt, but I had to get a new one to wear (I've grown some).
“Yesterday’s sorrows….. Tomorrow’s white lies” I’m glad that there are people out there who agree with me that those were the best two Maiden Albums. No disrespect to Bruce But it is what it is. I still listen to the Killers album all the way thru, at least once a week
You should definitely react to The beach boys Till I die. It’s very atmospheric and uplifting unlike anything I’ve heard before. Love the content 👍🏻
Suggestion listen to the song Strange World from the first Iron Maiden album
Damn straight! Love IM
Lex gets it. You feel it. All of it. Oh yeah love the shirt lex.
According to Di'Anno, this song is about his grandfather, although the meaning of the lyrics is somewhat obscure. It is a relatively slow-tempo song, with both acoustic and power guitar parts and another great instrumental and solo. Some people have suggested that Di'Anno's grandfather may have been a Royal Air Force pilot during World War II. This is illustrated by sentences like "the clouds take me higher" (the pilot's view from his aircraft), linked to "I shall return from out of the fire" (the hope of the pilot that he'll survive the combat). Moreover, "Out in the madness the all seeing eye/Flickers above us to light up the sky" may refer to the searchlights during a bombing raid. Although there is no evidence that this is true, it does make sense somehow. 66 This song is an old stage favourite. The crowds used to be really into this one. Paul Di'Anno wrote the lyrics to it. I wrote the music. Actually I played him the parts I had and he worked it out. There's a lot of feeling in this song. Mind you I think any song should be filled with feeling. But on the slow parts of this one I think there
I’ve been listening to Killers again and song Prodigal Son is a great one. I believe Ozzy and Randy Rhoads took the gentle guitar work in the beginning for “You can’t kill rock and roll”
Happy Valentine's Day!
This is my favorite era of Maiden!!! First two albums are still the best IMO!

Metallica covered this in 2016, should have a listen, I mean it's Metallica, also the 1st time I've ever heard Maiden referred to as sultry...lol
Bruce Dickinson 1981 live version. This is great song made better when Bruce injected energy.
Crowbar did a great cover of this song.
You should react Rime of the ancient mariner, Alexander the Great, dance of death and caught somewhere in time. Awesome songs!

@Brad After Dark i wonder if you revisited this song now- more open mind & knowing this is the original singer & not 1 of the others- So, what would your reaction would be? Maybe during a "Revisits" stream?

Please do a reaction to "Motorhead"~ the song "Live to win"!
