Bruce Dickinson - The human Air-raid siren! Also qualified pilot who pilots the band’s 747 on tour, close to Olympic level fencer (sword fighting), and throat cancer survivor and still singing and touring after 50 years. Bassist Steve Harris is so underrated as a bassist and also composer of many of their song.

Iron Maiden has an absolutely remarkable collection of songs...... Wasted Years Run To The Hills The Trooper Aces High 2 Minutes To Midnight Number Of The Beast Flight Of Icarus ...........and dozens more. They are the definition of Metal.
Fear of the Dark by Maiden live is a must.

Every time I hear Bruce hit that last note I I get chills...every time, without fail.

Folks my childhood passed with this song.. ! 🔥🔥 hit song of it's era.. now became classic.. Up the Irons ! 💥💥
Every Iron Maiden song is like an Opera. They lead you through an intense musical story, full of theatrics and a musical novel.
As a teen I was at this gig and seen iron maiden loads of times, one of the best rock bands ever, the shows are amazing, songs are great, love what you guys do, all the the from a Brit 🏴🇬🇧🇺🇸
Not a "One off". They've been around for a long, long time for a reason! Still touring too😈👍 Also, the singer piolets the jumbo jet that flies them around the world😳
Up the Irons. Come for the metal get a history lesson next should be Paschendale
Bruce Dickinson, the singer, is a polymath. He is a registered airline pilot, he flies the bands tour plane, he's, obviously, the singer of a world class metal band, he was also, which explains his physique, a national level fencer. So yeah, he'd be solid back up in a fight, probably still, the band still tours and its nearly 40 years since this show.

80's .. one of the greatest songs by the Iconic IronMaiden. Ive seen this numerous time. Glad you showing lov.
Interesting fact - this performance at Hammersmith Odeon was timed to the release of the album so the crowd had never heard this song. Hence why they seem so spellbound by it; they're quite literally all experiencing what you are. Later versions show them totally rocking out and singing along. It's also why it's so raw and authentic.
Oh yes finally Iron Maiden, thank you 🙏🏻. Next Aces High, Run to the Hills and Rime of the Ancient Mariner etc etc etc etc…… and all live please.
Saw them three times. All were top notch. Theatrics were always part of the show and were much anticipated. Always singing and no voice overs. Bruce's voice is one of rocks best.

This is my all time favorite band!!!
Iron Maiden tell stories, some of their stories are from history, some from movies, others from tv shows, and some are from their imagination. But they are create a vision in my head anyway. That's why I love them so much. It isn't the typical he or she done he wrong stuff. It's so much more!
I was a 15 year old Maiden fan and young drummer... front row left stage this tour with Scorpions...first of many Maiden concerts.... there's nothing like it...
When Lex was saying “memory” I kept thinking “story.” Lyrics hit hard: “As the guards march me out to the courtyard. Somebody cries from a cell, "God be with you!" If there's a God, why has he let me go? “Powerslave” is another heavy. You’d dig it, Brad. Other than this one, I prefer studio versions. Up the Irons!
Brad is a simple man. "It didn't hurt my ears." is really all it took to be an alright song. Maiden is awesome, if you dig into them more, there's so many great tracks. I saw them live in 2014 and they were incredible. One of the best shows I've ever seen.
And now we have one of my Top 5 favourite bands of all time. Saw these guys back in '89...the energy and quality of performance was absolutely unmatched in my experience.🤘
That is perhaps The best live performance of that song on record. it is masterful
They are still going and still full of energy, COVID interrupted their last tour. They've also just dropped the first single off of their upcoming new album in the last couple of weeks.
Loved your reaction! If you thought this was theatrical, then you HAVE to listen to Rime of the Ancient Mariner. Their absolute best song ever, (This song is a strong second.)! Keep up the great work!
You picked a great song to start with for Iron Maiden. That video, IIRC, is from 1982. Just last week they released a new video, The Writing On The Wall. Still going strong to this day. As someone above said, come for the metal, stay for the history/philosophy lesson I've been lucky enough to see Iron Maiden 7 times, and every time they bring it. They are masters of their craft. I would suggest some other live shows and songs: Rock In Rio (2001): Fear Of The Dark The Clansman Sign Of The Cross Flight 666 (2009) Rime of the Ancient Mariner Fear of the Dark Iron Maiden is a thinking mans band. Their songs always include some sort of message or story. Thanks for the reaction and UP THE IRONS!!!
