@twilight2010ful they've retconned it at least once or twice, but it's really interesting knowing the order of the games and how some games lead to others. A lot of people know skyward sword is the first game, but I think fewer people know that the 'links awakening' link is the same guy as 'a link to the past' link. Also, twilight princess happened about 100 years after ocarina of time, and the skeleton dude that teaches you moves in twilight princess is actually the link from ocarina of time helping out his descendant. Painfully nerdy, I know... lol

⁠@@inspica380the Link from Link to the past is in 4 games (the most of any Link reincarnation) he is in Link to the past, Link’s awakening and the Oracle games. Another one that most people don’t know is that the Link from a Link between worlds is the same one as the one from Tri force heroes.

@feefore1605 I did know about him being in the oracle games too, but I did not know know that a link between worlds and triforce heros were the same link. A link between worlds was excellent, but honestly, I've kind of tried to forget about triforce heros. Lol

Can we pleeeeeassee have the crew mics be the same level as Wood's? It's much better than it used to be, but it still can be hard to hear them if they're not eating the mic.

Love this new look and format! Having a guest every episode before was too much, having E talk more and give his thoughts is nice. Feels like there is finally a proper co-host!

The real reason why MP4 looked like MP2 remastered was because they used a dated artstyle. Modern games of this style don't use muddy colors anymore. Dread for example looks new because it's reds are ACTUALLY red and not nearly-black red-brown.

I’m gonna have to call BS on specifically the dread part. Yes the game uses a new artstyle and it’s debatably more colorful, but the environment and terrain design in the game is nowhere near as intricate or complex as the prime games. And it’s a usual problem in the 2D games where the backgrounds don’t exactly convey much storytelling

@@ziggystardust7001 Fully agree with you, the environment feels too indie. 100% agree with you on that. It doesn't even have any foreground. I was strictly referring to color theory on how trends work overtime and how if the usage of color meets modern trends, then the game feels more modern, but if it uses old trends for color theory, it feels dated. Let me put it to you this way: A game could be a buggy, lacking experience, but can still feel like it's design is modern, even if less quality. And inversely true, something can be absolute quality yet still visually come off as dated. Modern vs dated has no relevancy to quality, polish nor complexity. "Style" of what something has is equal and neutral. Compare it to old rock (elvis) music to more modern rock (80s rock). One isn't better than the other, it's just different. That's style. And trends feed into the average preference. Most people don't want elvis style rock because we grew past that. Dated isn't bad, it's just not the preference on a subliminal level exclusively. And in regards to this game vs dread. I'm stricture referring to the use of "muddy colors"; desaturation; lack of gamma.

Wood you DO NOT have to explain yourself! Seriously it is just a game reveal, no one should care if you knew what game was being revealed. It is so pathetic what those people were commenting, they just want to hate, seriously. Please don’t listen to those comments; it can be hard but just don’t do it, okay?

Love the new format of not having guests every episode since it did feel like a new show every time. It's not a bad thing but there were some guests that I wasn't personally interested in listening to which made me watch the show less. But having guests come in from time to time while mainly just focusing on the existing cast members is an excelllent idea that I'm excited to see.

I like this format! Like I said in the previous video, this podcast just gives me the same feeling I used to get when me and my friends would hangout and just talk about games and theorize about all kinds of things. Love it.

I just noticed two issues that might effect views. One, Searching Nontendo on KZread just brings up Nintendo. Two, all of the new episodes are in the Live tab and not the videos tab so it looks like you guys just stopped after Bob left unless you look closer.

Honestly I think this was a 7-8/10 direct. Mario n Luigi, zelda, NSO update, and metroid were really the only thing I enjoyed. The other stuff wasn't for me but it was a good direct.

With Prime 4, I think it can without question be the best selling game in the series, and could most definitely be a lunch title for Switch 2. The ONLY launch game? That's a bit different. If Prime 4 is cross-gen, and we get a new Mario Kart, and maybe new mainline Mario, I think that's an easy lineup for the best selling console ever.

Just shoot down everyones ideas the second they say it and interrupt them as well. Wow I can see why he has guests cause he's to nervous to shoot down every single idea they have.

I think yall should make different playlists for the 3 versions of the show One for the Nontendo Classic (Wood & Bob), another for Nontendo Show (Guests) and now one for Nontendo Live (current version) So like once in the future its easier to distinguish between the different iterations of the Nontendo Podcast

Nintendo wouldn’t close a direct with a remaster. Prime was announced mid direct. I thought for sure it was Prime 4

Its not that mind boggling for the pieces of the triforce to end up in the wrong hands. Link accidentally gets the triforce of power which corrupts him and canon steals the triforce of wisdom to be a powerful wizard and so zelda needs to find or face the fact that she has to have courage in this story. Its even more intriguing for me because we never doubted links courage and so now we can see a story where we are not sure if the triforce piece really has a will of its own or if the power needs to be bestowed by the wielder. I dont think I would like if it went back to a traditional hack and slash tho, a more ability based ninja/stealth/quick type of game would be more interesting.

Phantom brave literally does something similar to the new zelda game and they are both chibi

I thought it was a combination of the brother aspect and that the setting for the game is a ship sailing between island "worlds."

I have a hate relationship with MvC games. One of my best friends at the time would always bring this game up, and I would always become his sacrificial lamb. I was an OK player, but he was the best, in the worst way possible.

Love the new format. New guests every week was exhausting. Occasional guests of course still welcomed with open arms, imo!

I love Bob but I want to see what you do with this. Own it Wood.

The new format looks good. The new guests were actually a bit overwhelming for me, I didn't watch most of them. I'm hoping to get back into watching weekly again.

Any chance the time slot could change in the future? As a fellow East Coaster, I preferred the old time slot where the live episode would be wrapped up and available to watch before I got home from work at 5pm. This new time slot puts me right into the middle of a live episode when I get home now and I have to wait for the show to finish before I start it from the beginning.

I think Nintendo has proven they don’t need to play by the same rules or timeline that regular consoles do. If they can release bangers that don’t need crazy graphics why would they feel the need to release a new console? With this new format, I don’t see why you can’t have a permanent host like Arlo, for example, since they do the podcast from where they live now. Definitely something to consider.

To me there's no reason nintwndo can't do a shiek game...there's a whole tribe..it doesn't have to be zelda specifically And I could be wrong but I don't think the curse is thst there always has to be a link/zelda/Ganon. My understanding is there will always be either descendants as them, or there will always be avatars of the tri forces or power/wisdom/courage. Remember there was a whole theory that the link from wind waker wasn't the chosen one..he was just some kid

There is a surreal, different energy about the presentation. The thought of an open world mission has been in the works for years MP3 dabbled a bit with planet exploration, hopping to different places, and taking on missions. MP4 definitely will expand on that tenfold

Open worlds are kinda the antithesis of metroidvanias, which have a very structured path through their maps, tho leaves the player to explore it and find out the correct path to take.

I like the new setup, it’s more fun and casual. I think having a guest occasionally will make those episodes stand out even more. Having Nintendo Live as the flagship is the right move imo.

The quickest giveaway it was a Metroid Prime 4 was her ship looked way different than 2. In 2 the ship has no wings it’s kinda just that oval design.

It looks almost the same as the p3 ship. I didn't know for absolute certainty in the first few seconds but I was pretty sure it was four because the scene wasn't from any of the previous primes, and it doesn't make sense that they would completely overhaul two with like a reimagining

I love the new format works a lot better and is less jarring than the guest of the week. Keep it up.

I love this new format the most. It kinda reminds me of attack of the show or a block of live TV. Kinda like what kinda funny is also doing right now.
