Something for you to try - you can set the case on it's side and use a leafblower (for a decently ventilated case - or at least mine is). Do it outdoors (goes without saying but just in case). Obviously don't crank the leafblower up to max or put it right up to the components - but you'd be surprised how much stuff it gets off. I would use the leafblower on the surrounding area first, so you aren't kicking up dirt into the pc.

Hi Greg, One feedback. Could you please provide a full specification of the PC through a simple text screen which covers everything from Motherboard to Optical Drive? I would just love to see what kind of specs different owners use. Also if possible please mention what is the main purpose of the PC being used for, e.g., work, gaming, editing, photoshop, etc. Thanks for the great videos man. Appreciate your work 😀

Yeah, I had that case for a long time as well. Finally came to an end with the RX 5700, the newer GPU's don't seem to fit into it anymore. It's large, but it lacks width. Also those front-finns were a damn nightmare to clean!
I'm a freak about keeping my pc and other electronics clean so this was very pleasing to watch. Nice job.
Just discovered your channel! These are soooo satisfying to watch! I (mostly) love taking old computers, cleaning them up, and restoring them for family/friends and seeing their faces when they see it, and their expressions when they see how peppy their system runs with a clean install of windows (I refuse to clean any system that has years old dust from a smoker's house. No matter what you do, even water doesn't get rid of the acrid smell of grossness, plus the carcinogens that enter my breathing space is beyond what I am willing to do to help some people). Some times they can't believe I didn't upgrade their system in some way! But I haven't done it for awhile, and these vids let me live vicariously through you - so thanks! :) New favorite channel! Everything you do while cleaning is great, but your QTip game is bang on!! When you were cleaning the screws I just sat back and enjoyed watching a master plying his trade, seeing the extent you were going to clean this system. 'Deep clean' is an understatement. Impeccable work. Great content, love it!!
I don't think people realize what an absolute professional you are at what you do. I have the the exact same case out of the many cases I own. I was genuinely shocked you used water but if you dry it it should be OK. I was also shocked at the meticulous detail in deep cleaning the hard drives with Q-tips in the grooves. You definitely do better than I do in cleaning my parts. Wow! Thank you for your channels' existence!

Thank you for making this series. Really allows for a neat freak like me to get his jollies off watching you clean these things to perfection. Also, I funnily enough learned to trust the cotton swab more when cleaning my builds lol. Great job man!
I have a cheap hand piston air pump for inflating things like kiddie pools, and it works great for blowing air out of power supplies etc. whenever I see an old computer somebody tossed out I take it home and clean it up like you do, and fix whatever needs fixed, then I turn around and give them away online.

@@joer8854 I know right. This pc is the proof how good these cases were, the dust legit had to coat the entire front grill just to be able to seep further into the system. I still use my HAF 932 on my daily driver. This case has seen entire systems come and go; the airflow it provides is just too good for me to justify retiring the old monster... and since i could not care any less about RGB, glass panels and all that jazz, i simply don't feel like i'm missing out. This case has proven to be bullet-proof, and at this point i just want to see for how longer can i hold onto it lol... maybe it'll survive another 10 years, maybe more! with proper and regular cleaning of the case, and its surroundings (which i do anyways, 'cause you know, i'm a human being, not an animal lol) there's no reason why good cases like the HAF 932 cant remain in use for many decades.
@SPPhotography89

Thanks. I finding that case.
Great video Greg, you do excellent work ! You do need an air compressor, it helps so much in cleaning as long as you do not let the air turn the fans.
have been binge watching these, I have to say I didn't think you could physically wash a fan, but even after cleaning systems I guess I haven't learned all of the tricks.. it's still cathartic though. this case is very similar to my bear of an antec case. so yes I know what it's like to clean one of these...thanks for posting these videos.
Great video! You should do a before / after benchmark for the fps and the tempatures. So we'll see how much difference the cleaning makes. Keep up the good work!
I love this channel, going step by step and finding and fixing problems teaches so much tbh. Not a lot of channels like this out there. If any tbh. This is basically free tehnical support
I have the exact same case... Having 2 dogs, and the tower being on the floor, yes they do get dirty, but that was EXTREME. I will clean mine every 3-6 months or so with a compressor and soft brushes. When it's time to rebuild (and that time is coming soon), I'll gut it and re-use the case. Lots of room and lots of air flow. Great vid!
Excellent job. I have that same case and love it! It does pick up dust easily though. I pull mine apart about once a year and do a full clean on it.
Watching the process of his cleaning methods is not only therapeutic but also artistic. This is art in motion. 🎨 🖌️
These are such amazing videos sir. The systems look so different before and after and it is fun to watch. Thank you for this. It is a refreshing break from all the videos about GPU's that we can't get.
I still use this case, great case for it's age. Originally there is also a 3rd 230mm exhaust fan where the AIO rad is mounted. Mine is set up very similarly, just with newer hardware.
This is my favourite era of computer hardware. I don't know, something about the stylized but not over-the-top aesthetic and the enthusiast-friendly, tinker-able approash taken with all of the parts of the time. I had an AMD FX build and had the snot overclocked out of it.
Love how you show more of the cleaning process in S2. pls continue doing that because it’s so satisfying. MORE. MORE. MORE!
I can't believe how satisfying this series still is. It's just so nice to see hardware get proper treatment :)

The Coolmaster HAF 932 what a case to have I had this case till last year. The HAF being very open Grill/Holes/Vents is a dust magnet an requires cleaning and dusting out quite regularly. This Coolmaster case is great for airflow as it is so open to allow the air to flow threw nice an cleanly it really is a good case. Great video Greg It was like walking down memory lane with what I had to do an when you said about the CPU warming to quickly I already knew the problem before you even said it 😂 Fair play Greg that was an epic deep clean an very enjoyable to watch an bought back allot of old memories for me well entertaining good job.

As a newer viewer, I've loved the videos and the different series' on the channel. Cheers.

Those HAF full towers are a doozy to clean. I have the HAF-X variant with a massive Cooler Master V10 cooler in it that I just deep cleaned for it's 10th year in service back in March (St Patty's Day actually). The only upgrade I was able to give it this time was a graphite thermal pad for the CPU (i7 2600K) rather than using paste. It seems happy.

Youre the first person on the internet to tell me its a common error with Asus boards and now my mind is at peace haha
