    I can’t express how amazing this interpretation of the piece is. The amount of control he has, the emotions he’s pouring into every phrase, everything’s perfect. It wasn’t rushed, it wasn’t too slow, it wasn’t too loud, it wasn’t too soft... seriously, amazing.

    This is a beautiful piece of music. But you played it like no other. Your sound is perfect, forte at times, and piano on other times. When I listen to you play, I feel like I'm being transported to another world where it's just me and the music. Again, you played this magnificently.

    What a great reading of this piece. I can't believe the people who comment on facial expressions. This isn't X Factor or American Idol where you get grinning "singers" who look like they have a coat hanger caught in their mouths. The man is playing deep music on a piano. He's reaching inside. He's a musician...a rarity these days.

    It seems to me that this piece is often played at a much too rushed tempo. I get the feeling that it should be more relaxed and airy in it's performance. The bars where the tempo speeds up always sound like they're being rushed along. Have you ever gotten this impression? Still, outstanding work. My favorite Debussey piece ever. I can only hope to one day reach this skill level.

    Respectfully DISAGREE! YES........His TECHNIC is spot-on. But his lack of 'FEELING' and 'SENSE' that playing this piece WAY SLOWER would have catapulted him very close to Chopin, Debussy and Mendelssohn, to me indicates that for him it's ALL about technic and following the script, without ANY inner sense of PERSONAL association! And so my final conclusion: TECHNIC 9; EXECUTION 9; FEELING 4!!

    RayMysteryo it's just me being picky :) It's just that when you call something a song, it implies that there are words which are meant to be sung when the music is playing. You should call this a piece of music as there are no words.

    Marshall Prods oh ok thats what i thought but then i started making up stuff that i could have possibly been like.. did i spell song right, i was looking at it long enough to the point where i was like..oh i spelled it wrong and then i was like..we both spelled song wrong, then i was like..naw song just looks weird if you think about it too much.. and then i was like.. oh hes probably correcting the word song to the french word for song but then i was like..nahh cant be cause we both got the same word.. and then i was like.. maybe the ' ' around the word is the proper way of saying song or maybe i gotta say it with an accent.. then i was thinking about china then i started to think i was getting trolled and then i saw your profile picture and it was two eggs and im like..ya this guy is definitely a troll for sure.. but then i was like his name is too legit to be a troll and he put capital letters where they are supposed to be.. so i was like..ya song is probably not the proper term to be used to describe something like this but i was like..to be sure...let me ask..

  • @marshallprods8747

    @marshallprods8747

    RayMysteryo The word 'song' comes from the verb 'to sing'. Im no troll, but debussy's arabesque 1 is definitely not a song, as nobody sings ! Anyway, it's not important...

    This is what Debussy inteded and dreamed for this piece in it's perfect creation. Any one who wishes to learn and perform this should learn it like this first. Then play it any way you wish, your performance will only be a reflection pf your own interpretation.
