As a 6'2" dude, women totally judge that stuff a whole lot. Ive dated girls who told me they wouldn't want to date a guy shorter than them (generally those women are super tall). Also there research that backs the fact that being taller gives you the perception of confidence and good leadership skills. Obviously its not the end all be all, but being tall does give you an advantage.

Concerning the height discussion: I didn't know I was short until maybe a few years ago when I was told 5'8 was short. It was never an insecurity for me before then, and I wondered if I SHOULD be insecure about it. It then dawned on me that until somebody tells you to be insecure about it, that's when it becomes a thing. We jinx ourselves over NOTHING. I simply chose to go through life as I had always done. When approaching women, if any insecurity ever rears its ugly head, I just remind myself about the height thing and that it's all in my head.

Mr E Look am sorry but it's not all in you're head you may not have noticed it personally in that case great but it is an actual thing. women tend to prefer taller men over shorter men at an alarming rate too. It's good to not go around insecure but no point in trying to deny reality. Also the average height is about 5'9 and more people are shorter than that than they are taller so you probably didn't notice because you're not really short.

'Parasite' and '1917' are not even CLOSE on a quality level. '1917' is a technical marvel, really impressive, but completely void of any substance. It has overbearing music, the story is bare bones, and the one-take gimmick is too distracting. So many scenes would have been better if they allowed for different shots. 'Birdman' had a point to looking like one take, since it's about a play, and the dialogue/characters in that film are so interesting that the one-take gimmick feels natural . However, 'Parasite' is just a fantastic movie all round. The movie is able to balance comedy and drama beautifully, quickly switching back and fourth without devaluing either half. The movie feels like an old Hitchcock in a way. Where the rhythm and beats of the film are constantly engaging. I've seen it 5 times at this point (including in B/W) and it's still as thrilling as ever because of how well the story is told. Also, the hiding scene in 'Parasite' is 100000x more intense than any scene in '1917' due to how amazing it's editing is. Makes me wonder whether the music or the visuals came first, compared to '1917' where they had to overlay manipulative music to try and get an emotion out of you. 'Parasite' is just masterful all around.

Ok so I took a little break from watching destiny and just returned. Clicked on this video expecting a political debate. Can anyone tell me what Manuel Ferrara is doing in this podcast?

I understand Destiny doesn't like Sanders or his supporters, that's completely fine, he's entitled to his opinion. But I never thought he would go low as to defend a right-wing billionaire oligarch like Mike Bloomberg just to own a lefty like Hasan. All Hasan said was "lot of media personalities are promoting Bloomberg, and many of them have worked for Bloomberg before", but Destiny's contrarian ass has to be like "uhh, no, I don't think that's true, that's bullshit, they work in the same industry" as if that invalidates Hasan's point. I understand hating tankies and hardcore lefties, but it will be hilarious all this Sanders hate leads to Destiny defending Bloomberg of all people. I know he didn't really go that hard in defending him here, but he shouldn't have to go that low.

@Guiuu Shurt So did everyone else though. Bloomberg's racist record is pretty obvious, and I give Destiny some credit for at least acknowledging that. But it's just funny how when a lefty/Sanders supporter like Hasan is talking about media bias related to some of the positive media coverage Bloomberg is getting, Destiny has to interject and make a completely irrelevant point. I don't even like Hasan, I think he's a pretty horrible debater and not a good speaker, but Destiny is letting his hatred towards Hasan affect his political views here.

Look at when he said the MSM talking point of "Well the moderates make up more votes then Sanders does" implying that voters actually care about ideology, even though in literally every poll Sanders leads in every single issue in terms of what voters want.

Can someone tell Destiny to stop talking about movies? It physically hurts. The only film he's ever had a good take on is Whiplash and even then, his understanding of the themes were muddled.

Height matters for guys but not enough to freak out about. I'm a shorter man myself and have gone on multiple dates with attractive women who didn't care about my height at all. If you're on a dating app, do NOT hide your height. Put it out there and wear it proud. That way, anyone you match with FOR SURE doesn't care about your height. Why would you want to risk meeting someone who would immediately judge you for it anyway? I'm part of the 1% of people that like destiny and chapo. I go to chapo for entertainment and to emotionally vent over class inequality and shit, but then I come to destiny to actually think out logical positions that I would consider enacting in real life.
