We don't know that guy was an actual law enforcement officer, he was probably some property owner blowing smoke up their tails. He never produced any credentials. No Trooper I know would risk his career making a terroristic threat like that. Just a local a-hole most likely, I would certainly have contacted actual police and reported the threat.

Im a quiet guy , Been fishing all my life and come across all sorts , sometimes I have had to follow up later on threats , nothing like a unexpected visit months after they threaten me . They always apologize and say they didn't mean it but unfortunately I don't see the point in idle threats . . .

I doubt he’s a cop, sounds like the fake tough guy claiming to be golden gloves champ or a black belt at the bar.

Yeah there's a high possibility he's lying about being a cop, but he also might not be lying. There's plenty of cases of off-duty cops threatening and assaulting people for no good reason. There was a case last year here in Boston where an off-duty cop beat someone half to death over road rage, and it was him who'd violated the traffic laws that started the road rage incident in the first place. Whole thing was caught on video too, thankfully.

Where did this happen? That trooper doesn’t have the right to threaten your life over catching and releasing fish. This guy should be prosecuted for threatening murder and abusing his position as a trooper.

As a Florida resident, this is one of the reasons I open carry and do not trespass when I'm fishing.

I would be in jail if anyone said that to my kid.

My family owns well over two hundred acres here in Southern Kentucky. I have caught dozens of people illegally fishing in our pond and dozens more illegally hunting on our property. I have never once threatened anyone with physical harm. I have called the Department of fish and wildlife and couple of people have went to jail who got really smart back with me or would not leave. Most of the time people are remorseful and apologize. Sometimes they stray on your property by accident but it's still no excuse the law says you're supposed to know where you're at. Sometimes you get really disgusted when people knowing take advantage of you but the older man in the video is completely out of control. If he is a cop he's a sorry excuse for one.The young man are wrong but no way they deserved this, to be threatened with death. OMG!

Jason Vaccaro a fish isn’t damaged at all when they are caught unless they are hooked in the throat (which it was obviously not) being a pro fishermen myself I know that a fish doesn’t have any blood vessels nor nerves in there lips that’s why hooks are allowed it’s just skin. And also my dad is a judge at our local court I sent him this video and asked him how the ruling would be. He stated “yes the kids would be fined. But you can’t death threat any person in the u.s. if you’re a state trooper of not. So the man would be fired from his state trooper job if he even was one and would face jail time for threatening a child’s life and death threats”. Alexander The Great one thing about private property is your chances grow a lot for catching them like this. My family has a small lake we fish out of and it used to be like this. These days it needs restocked due to a beaver infestation and the fact that it’s been over fished for 30 years you can always tell a difference on a fresh stocked area too

+803brando Except it is posted as No Fishing, IF that is a legal sign. The old coot might have put it up himself. They should have got a shot of his face, and the sign. I think a legal No Fishing sign would state the code numbers of the statute or bylaw it references.

Its one thing to hear a "threat" like that coming from a civilian, another completely to be uttered by a Law Enforcement officer..I had no idea that trespassing was a "death penalty offense" if he says "he can get away with it"

Those two teenage boys may have ignored signs and should not have. That Man claiming to be a Pa State Trooper with the K-9 Unit should have been charged for what he said to both of you. Both of you were very foolish for not reporting this incident.. Where in Bucks County did this take place? Your other statement about not showing his face is wrong. NightStorm death threats are only illegal when done to someone with power. My stepmom has a step dad and he threatened to hurt her and the cops said they couldn't do anything unless he was right there in our faces.

The guy had no right to threaten death over a few fish, but you should respect the no fishing signs. This guy had no way to know you weren't there to steal the fish.

Did you file charges against him... an official making a death threat against you with his service weapon while conspiring to get away with because he is an official?
