they don't get the point of the story...these strawhats all have tragic pasts and have come together after luffy rescues them in some way and connects with them so they help him not only to fufill their own dreams and luffy's but to fix this world and make their mentors proud proving their worth and developing as people who used to be flawed thanks to tragedy but at their core were born good ..thats the core of one piece...its about inclusion...unlike naruto which felt like exclusion

Said everyone who follows this series. I was working fulltime + and still was able to get in 4 or 5 episodes a night. It's like you're not in the mood to watch it when you see the size of the arc. But after you watch a couple episodes to see if it's any good, you end up watching 40 episodes in a week. 😁

@@ShamblesMD I never understood being overwhelmed by the size of an anime personally, when I started watching One Piece it was at 400 or 500 episodes, it isn't like the show is going to disappear, you don't need to commit to it, just start watching it, even if you only watched one episode a week, if you enjoy it, you will have something to look forward to every week, for a long time, if you end up not liking it, you can just stop watching it.

I remember 10 years ago when OP, Naruto and Bleach all had their wars happening around the same time. No lie, The Battle of Marineford was the only one that didn't disappoint me in some way. I had zero complaints about the pacing, story lines and buildup of White Beard, who imo is one of the greatest characters in anime.

@@maxacorn the winter war was underwhelming to me because I expected more from the captains, but really Aizen has hacks for days, where not even the combined teamwork of Shinji, Shunsui, Yamamoto and Urahara had a major effect. Although the Blood War was much better. Still, Marineford sets up the steaks and does something rare in showing how out of his league the main protagonist was and Eve the power gaps between the warlords. We thought is was going to be about Luffy beating them one by one in the beginning, but they were lucky to encounter Crocodile and Moria, who both got lazy over the years. Whereas warlords like Kuma, Jinbe, Doffy, Mihawk and Hancock are all a totally different class.

set up is vital...i feel shanks losing his arm and zoro's flashback keeps you engaged until mihawk shows up in episode 24...the rest of it is slow until then but it works well...i get it though...besides two great flashbacks until episode 24 one piece feels very generic overall in present time..you got that cool moment with the dog but besides that its a lot of nothing..usopp's flashback is sad but weird...and not long...so you just feel nothing for him..sanji's gets butchered in the anime..not knowing zeff ate his own leg is horrible for the drama...

Man, I got into one piece as soon as I saw a shounen protagonist who can't swim floating in the middle of the ocean clueless in a barrel.😂 It's not your typical main character with a sad backstory revealed at the start..maybe that's what some people want to see in every shounen.

It pains me to see when people say they couldn't get in to One piece considering the masterpiece that it is, the reason for it though is because of how the entire show is structured. And that is by building the story up slowly but steady with each little conclusion being more satisfying then the other. So understandable that people won't have the patience with the first episodes, but a damn shame considering how beautifully everything ties up the longer you go in to the show.

Give it a chance. As someone who has watched both series, I GUARANTEE that you will love One Piece. Probably not immediately, but it seriously is a lot better than it looks. There is a reason why there are so many fans and it is the best selling manga in history.

Nah even without the suit, Sanji would've BRUTALLY DESTROYED Lee in MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. Sanji didn't even need the suit to beat Lee and they ONLY gave Lee the eighth gate just so he could stand a slight chance against Sanji. Lee having the Eighth gate shouldn't have even been used in this match since Lee as they stated has never used it before and has never been shown in the anime or manga including Boruto.

please stop using the filler as a plus, I am a big one piece fan but it needs to have more filler, Without filler the anime has to add padding, which is MUCH worse than filler, The onepiece anime actually only needs 600 episodes with a good pacing but instead it has 1000+

I was the opposite tbh starting with Bleach and Naruto it took me a while to get hooked... then I continued and holy shit the writing and the fights (Luffy is still a fuckin cornball even now) this is by far better then Bleach and Naruto story wise and even fight wise, this is PEAK SHONEN right here! Worldbuilding is actually phenomenal

Okay I want to clear something up before I begin. I am not going after you because you said you didnt like one piece. It doesnt take nearly as long for it to get good as Jazz said(it was either 300 or 400 eps), most fans were hooked right around the Arlong Arc, which is in the thirties or forties I think. Also, in my personal opinion, Naruto was slower than OP in the beginning. I took nearly the entire "first part" for me to even get hooked and feel a good connection with the show, and then,Shippuden is what REALLY got me. The anime serves best as a companion to the manga anyways, but I digress. Good vid.

You know how I know they didn’t watch one piece? because they said they watched the first season and literally no one calls it by seasons it’s by arcs an they obviously didn’t see nami’s entire backstory or when luffy destroyed Arlong. Like what?

I just let the results speak for themselves. One Piece is the 3rd highest selling comic/manga/graphic novel all time just behind Batman and Superman. And this series started more than 50 years after both of those. series.

I feel like Naruto always felt like a fantasy. It felt like the main characters were always going to win. There was never any doubt. One Piece has built so much suspense that it’s unreal. Nobody thought Naruto would die during shippuden but there is a serious possibility that Luffy dies in his final confrontations with Akainu and Teach.

facts my dude. i was just clinging to Naruto near the end of Shippuden cause it was losing me and around that time, i began watching One Piece (first the ... ugh~ 4Kids version and then subs online) and then began reading the manga and i personally never regretted it.

One piece is very, very good. It took me time, but when I actually started watching it I realised story wise it’s way better than Naruto. Naruto just has better fights.

i never understand why people base it on the comedy and art style. we dont watch it because of that. it phenmonal storytelling and world building and serious moments hit the hardest

Look at it this way: sanji kicks the ground fast enough to fly and does it effortlessly while rock lee/guy need the power of the gates to do the same, the power and speed difference is right there.

Best time to get in it now! Luffy hit his true peak (despite him being an absolute cornball vs the rest of the crew) How the days feel while waiting for a batch of One Piece eps for a couple months to binge that I wish it can be like only a few days ago I began to watch this and have so much eps to go through lol. I love both shows, but whoever keeps saying it takes 300-400 episodes for One Piece to get good is some major cap. I got hooked from the very beginning especially with Arlong Park.

I ain’t gonna come at your for not watching most of one piece but Arlong park is one hell of a good arc and when it gets to water 7 your on your seat 24/7 especially enies lobby

I'm starting to see a cycle. The first person to deliver their special ability, or signature move, always loses.

I waited like forever for this reaction to come out ever since the video dropped

No offense but y’all need to chill with the OP hate when it’s obvious you haven’t even gotten to Arlong Park 😭 whoever told you it gets good at episode 400 is a liar. But believe what you wanna believe I guess lol but I do recommend giving it another chance

Facts bro most of the people that say one piece only gets good at episode 400 is the people that haven't watched it and it got good at the arlong park but alabasta is what I think gets most people addicted

it's weird that u guys didn't like one piece. i've never heard of anyone who watch it and didn't like it. in fact they went from avoiding it because of the simplistic designs to making it one of their favorite shows of all time. i don't tear up in anime much but one piece is one of those where i feel all sorts of emotions. alot of reactors became popular because of their one piece reactions.
