Wouldn't be the first time Sega used one of Sonic's rivals as a fall guy for an experimental concept (Knuckles chaotix anyone?). Also folks didn't have a problem with Nack the Weasel/Fang the Sniper using guns (assuming folks still remember him).

@@HakrTheAnimator They the same character just given different names during localization (for some reason), essentially he is a bounty hunter that first appeared in Sonic Triple Trouble. Afterwards he later appear in Sonic Drift 2 and Sonic Fighters he was also planned to appear in Sonic Heroes with team Hooligans with Bean and Bark (other more underrated characters that first appeared in Sonic Fighters) but due to time constraints he didn't make it in and was kinda forgotten from the games until Sonic Mania when team Hooligans made a cameo as illusions in the Heavy Magician boss-fight.

God damn it man I had forgoten about deathbattles. Then I see this video in recommendations "oh this I got to see" click video, about to switch to vertical. Right before that I see this comment "shadow finaly got a win" why? This is why I hate how the comments are before the other vids.

The reason why Sega gave shadow a gun was because they realised that their audience was growing up and being more mature, they wanted to follow. However, sonic with a gun didnt sit right. Well, there is this new, darker character who was been very popular, let's give the guns to him. Boom, shadow the hedgehog game.

Believe it or not, back then the fans were the ones who asked for guns in Sonic games. As a compromise they gave guns to Shadow instead of Sonic. Sega learned their lesson on that one lol

@@jevandhansook9546 I mean, the guy is fast enough to literally spin through targets faster than any gun could. Let alone that he already has projectiles like Chaos Spear. The only argument is that Shadow could use guns to conserve his energy for Chaos Powers. But that's already what his inhibitor rings are for. I've thought about it, only way in-universe for guns to make sense is if Shadow combined them _with_ his Chaos Powers. So they can't fire bullets, but energy instead. But at that point Sega wouldn't care anymore, they just wanted Shadow to be edgy and shoot real guns

First off, love your guy's reactions. It's great how you guys get into watching these videos and give us enjoyable reactions. I would like to say its kind of a theory on why Gerald Robotnik went from a lizard to a hedgehog when creating the ultimate life form. In Sonic and Knuckles in the Hidden Palace Zone, we see a mural of a super powered hedgehog fighting some sort of giant monster. We also see in Sonic Adventure on Angel Island we see a mural of Perfect Chaos. A lot of the theories say that since Gerald was studying the Chaos Emeralds and the Master Emeralds, he went to Angel Island where the Perfect Chaos mural was and based the Biolizard Prototype on its appearance along with other bio robots in Sonic Adventure 2. When that didn't work, for reason such as that the biolizard was more animalistic and needed life support, so they went with the design of the hedgehog and that's how Shadow was born.

Regarding the Mural in Hidden Palace on Angel Island, that Hedgehog was Sonic in his hyper form, and the "monster" was Eggman (called Robotnik at the time) in a new Death Egg Robot in possession of the Master Emerald. Assuming he saw the mural before the events of the game, Knuckles knew for sure that such an event would happen on the island, but didn't know who was good, or who was evil. Furthermore, assuming the Emeralds somehow warped between worlds or across dimensions, it would very well explain why Prof. Robotnik use them to initiate the whole "End of the Earth" protocol. Also, I'm pretty sure that since those 4,000 years ago on Mobius when Chaos was seal in the Master Emerald, the Chaos Emeralds where scattered all across, as Angel Island needs the Master Emerald itself to stay in the air. And it can be assumed the Prof. Robotnik took a look back at the Emeralds' past while studying them, and saw the Altar in which they resided, then made security units based on Chaos himself.

Just a heads up D&j TeamFourStar just posted a new video a few days ago, It's not Dragonballz abriged rather its a fully CGI cartoon they have created with another youtuber. It's called "Home for infinite losers" it follows Cell in the afterlife having to take part in super villain rehab (kinda like Hazbin Hotel). The episodes title is "Cell in a Hell" yall should check it out it is just as hysterical as anything else they have produced hope you like it (and i hope they make it a full series)

The reason why Shadow uses guns even though they don't appear in cutscenes or are canon to the story, it's how the Chaos Spear (first appeared in SA2 Battle) was lost along with his memories and Chaos Control which Eggman reveals in Shadow The Hedgehog during Devil Doom he lost his memories, didn't die because obviously Super Shadow gives him nigh invulnerability as he was still that when he fell from space and during Devil Doom, you dont use guns but Chaos Spear which gives smaller, weaker blue Chaos Spears that fire at rapid speed which makes machine guns pointless.

I think the game dwayne was talking about was Sonic generations
