Hahaha the 4 kids version of one piece is messed up, if you watch the actual thing you will see how bad they screwed up the opening and animation. It has many episodes but you will eventaully get hooked on it. First sixty episodes are bad because the plot really hasn't started and they are just getting crew members

the first 60 episodes are slow to start, but that is because Oda takes the time for us to get to know each crewmate as they join the crew and each get a story arc revolving around Luffy gaining thier respect and helping each crewmate solve a crisis which cements thier bonds of Nakama (crewmates/Friends, no direct translation). Oda takes the time to explore who each of the crew if and thier backstory which creates an attachment to these characters. I have been asked by people if they can skip the first 60 episodes, but everything else in the series is built upon the foundation set in these 60 episodes. don't seriously watch the 4kids dubbed or you will be very confused as the story goes on. they created major plotholes that would be next to impossible to fix in later story arcs as they removed 2 major story arcs, Twin Capes and Little Garden. twin capes gives important information and a introduction to 2 key figures that have major importance much later in the story. Little Garden does not introduce characters that just appear later in the show, and 2 character they meet here help the development of Usopp as a character and majorly tie into future story arcs.

If you're going to watch one piece than do yourself a huge favor and watch the subtitled episodes instead of the dub. I'm not one of those guys who goes "sub is better than dub" or "dub is better than sub", but the Japanese voice actors are so much better than the American ones in One Piece. Also, the jokes aren't censored into stupid or unfunny ones, and the dialogue is way better lol

I disagree, funimationa dub version of one piece is one of their best works, and at moments in my opinion it out does the sub, funimation has the closest translation to the Japanese but something's they do change but when they do its not something that impacts the story its mostly jokes that get changed cause they wouldn't work in English, other than that the dub is solid, there's a reason funimation is having success with the dub

Deiry Perez The American voice actors are _not_ bad at all and this dub is completely solid. Seriously. Don't get me wrong, I love those guys in other shows and they're some top tier shit in the grand scheme of things. It's just that with one piece, it loses a bit personality when you translate it into the dub. These Japanese voice actors work directly with the source material and sound exactly how they're supposed to according to the creator's vision whereas the American ones sound slightly off with **some** characters. Luffy's voice is a bit too high for a 17/19 year old guy, Usopp's voice doesn't fit his body some times, etc. Also, if someone watched Dragon Ball before this then Usopp, Luffy, and Zoro are really easily recognizable as Krillin, Gohan, and Piccolo. The Japanese VA's just fit really well with these characters and it's really rare for them to fall short.

Again I disagree to some extent, this are professional actor's and as a company you want the best, the main cast of the English dub was chosen by eiichiro oda him self that's how he envisioned them to sound in English in all honesty if you watch dub or sub you will get the same enjoyment my friends and I watch both and we talked about this and we enjoyed both equally, some people just can't get used to this out of nostalgia out of listening to the sub more, like the original dbz dub was horrible but they heard it first than the sub and they say the dub is better which is not until dbz Kai you had amazing acting, but since this people heard the dub first they prefer it also I think 4kids have a lot to do with people no liking the dub of one piece more

Erza's equipment is not weaker than any of Zoro's equipment. Don't forget Adamantine Armor stopped the Jupiter Cannon. and it was a really powerful weapon. Sure she did struggle a bit after it hit her but she was able to get back up and fight. Also, she can endure a lot of pain and we can clearly see that in her fight with Kyôka and even when Erza lost all her senses she could still fight and defeat Kyôka. Sure Erza was self-taught BUT think about Albert Einstein, Thomas Alva Edison they were also self-taught. A lot of people who succeeded in life were self-taught.

The Jupiter Cannon honestly wasn't a very strong magical attack, and Erza had to stay down for a bit before getting back up. Also, the Kyoka fight was quite bullshit. She literally said some shit about friends and how she has to protect them, and all the sudden she was twice as powerful, there was nothing explaining how she won without senses.

The opening for One Piece you're thinking of was from the 4Kids dub. One Piece got passed off to Funimation years ago. It's also why Zoro has Piccolo's VA now.

Piccolo and Zoro have the same English Dub voice actor, Christopher Sabat, which is why they sound the same. Christopher Sabat also voices Vegeta. Also, the English Dub voice actor for Krillin is the same as Usopp but the Japanese voice actor for Krillin is the same as Luffy's.

I agree Jasime, With the fairies. But One Piece is so Amazing! Hardly any fillers and you'd wish to see more flashbacks.

I stopped somewhere mid-Dressrosa, because I had enough of the entire time stalling shit and naming episodes either to something that doesn't happen or just happens at the end of the episode. The last 20 seconds of the episode. Fairy Tail on the other hand, is more I like it. No need for episode-long flashbacks that draws the attention and tension away from the main story, and give you the information you need in a short and brief time.

Great reaction, really enjoyed it. I'm a big one piece fan so I do highly recommend it, granted it's very, very long to watch but well worth it in my opinion. If not it's cool, however one thing I advise anyone who is interested in watching any anime is to watch them in Japanese with English Sub, NOT Dub. Seriously, it doesn't matter which anime it is, Subbed ALWAYS beats Dubbed.

I sometimes come back to watch this for nostalgia, and always get pissed when Dwayne confuses the crappy 4Kidz One Piece opening for the actual opening

Hi I know this is about year late but the keeping light on warning is for a group of incidents that happened in Japan where children were having seizures for watching shows on TV in the dark because of the flashing lights in some of the show. So now shows have that warning even some here in the states.

Erza is actually my favorite character in fairy tail so it broke my heart seeing her lose but they are the experts so they know better

That's just your opinion. In my opinion I think it gets better after the Grand Magic Games, even though it's not as exciting.

i noticed something it seems alot of people do not understand what made straw hats vs the cp9 such epic battle's! 1st to start they declared war against the world government that controls the world of one piece! 2nd the fact all of the members of the cp9 were trained to superhuman levels through martial arts way before they were given their devil fruits! this is the main reason why rob lucci was such a hard opponent for luffy to beat! but for some reason all of the cp9 were trained to superhuman levels except their leader who seems to only have a cool sword! & some nice armor!

Fairy tail has nothing to do with fairies 😭😭😖

You forgot her new armor during the grand magic game : "Nakagami armor" its said (in the french version): she can cut trough space and magic or (in the english version) she can stand against anything in front of her. Yeah i'm a Fairy Tail fan 😅

I found this battle tough because I love both of these characters, also because One Piece & Fairy Tail are my favorite animes of all time.

They forgot to mention that Erza knows how to fight with 4 swords, one in each hand and each foot.

Fairy Tail is dope & the reason it's called fairy tail is because it's a name of guild

7:56 Because in the Funimation dub he has Piccolo's voice actor. SIDE NOTE: The version you mentioned at the start was the 4Kids dub they're notorious for screwing up any and all anime they dub.

I haven't watched this yet but erza is probably gonna win because of that power of the friendship bullshit

Avantes - Erza should have won. She pierced a bloody floating island and zoro just pierced a rock monster. The island requires way more power. Plus she has survived much tougher situations than zoro for example the colosseum against 100 monster the highest being a huge class. We have never seen zoro take so many insanely strong enemies at once. Plus the power of friendship just makes Fairy Tail invincible

the voice of Piccolo and Vegeta and All Might is the voice of Zoro in English Chris Sabat

one thing i do know, since they actually say it on the manga, is that Medaka Kurokami from Medaka Box is the strongest Shounen Jump character

Lmaooo now do a rematch but with Ezra fighting to protect her guild

Plot Twist: The Original Version is Not THE FUCKING 4KIDS DUB

You guys should really watch fairy tail and react to it! It's really good and my favorite anime. Just don't watch the intro because it spoils some stuff. It might seem bad at first, but it gets REALLYYYYY BETTER. I thought it was bad at first too, but gave it a second chance and IT WAS AMAZING. And don't worry, it doesn't have any elves or stupid flying things with pointy ears.

Angelina Roe Sao is okay. the first season is good, but it goes down hill from there

I knew a 10000000% zoro defintly won its all about watching anime and since i watched both i already knew the outcome

The warnings of watching the show with the lights on was only till 3 arcs of fairy tail like from episode 20 to 50 i think I don't remember I'm over passed that

Zoro and Piccolo have the same English voice actor (Christopher Sabat) Who also voices, Vegeta, Yamaha, Shenron, Jason (Tokyo Ghoul) and basically anyone with a really deep voice lol

I recommend Berserk or Code Geass! They're both a great anime on their own and both have pretty huge fanbase.
