@@mussamohamed2722 May be, may be not, because Chelsea might have tried at least something for Calafiori, but since Arsenal had advanced talks with him so they probably opted out of the race. Chelsea as it looks have a long list of players for each position in their priority order. They are pursuing their targets very very strategically.

@@jacobalexander4167 Chelsea have a different development trajectory for defensive and offensive players. Caicedo looks to return to form so does Cucurella, Gusto looks good too. Not the same for Mudryk and Enzo.

And Enzo was excellent in a bad team at the end of his first season but carried a hernia throughout last season. He’s now had surgery and will be cooking next season.

Chelsea's first team arguably is pretty good. Maybe needs a few more goals but guys like Nkunku was out last season and even in defense, we suffered with the likes of Fofana, James, Chilwell and co being out. We do not need a host of "marquee signings". I'd take an attacker that can bring goals and I'd be contented with our business. Maybe a high profile GK might do but that's it.

Viega is a very smart signing at 14 mil .. while I rate calafiori and won't hate on him cause he joining arsenal I still think veiga profile is suited for prem football and his stats for a 20 year old are all top 3 in his league . Very smart signing and scouting as basel brought him in to replace calafiori when he went to bologna .

Arsenal never approached Zirkzee at any point lol . He was on our shortlist because he fits the mold of what we’re looking for (a young ST with bags of potential) but we never approached him at all . If we did want him we’d get him just like we’re getting Calafiori
