I agree with the var decision. There's a difference trying to block a shot and kane kicking him and been late Into a challenge aith high studs and kane kicking him he was late into the challenge. That wasn't an attempt at blocking the shot which it why it was deemed a pen

But VAR totally missed or ignored Saka's handball in the build up...should have been a freekick to the Netherlands before the ball even got to Kane....go watch it back! I live in Sweden and on our TV show a referee showed this and said he couldn't believe the VAR didn't look at that situation... I bet no english TV showed that....

Ivan Toney is not better than Kane , Ollie Watkins style was a better choice , Toney would have worked against another team but when you have tall physical defenders , Watkins style was a better choice to break through that defense , Toney was not going to do shit vs that Dutch defense

Please elaborate what part of it is a penalty??? Kane kicks Dumfries on a follow after completing his shot. Dumfries is allowed to show his studs if he is not making a challenge which he is not he is trying to block the shot. You can not allow a player to complete his shot wait for it to miss and then give a penalty. What was the offence committed as all Dumfries did was lift his leg and watched Kane kick him. We are also ignoring the handball in the buildup by Saka. I am English but if that went against us we would be fuming.

@@1987simple1987 watch the replay again and where Dumfries lunges in from. the ball is next to Kane he connects first wether Dumfries goes to block it doesn’t really matter he got there late and lunges in Kane kicks the ball with not a lot of follow through Dumfries makes a clumsy attempts wether it would be given in the prem or not but Europe I’ve seen these kind of pens also Dumfries covers his face with both his arms he can’t even see what he is doing like I said clumsy challenge anyways it’s the final go and enjoy it

@@ramsdaman1 I disagree Dumfries does not get there at all he is inches away and Kane kicks him after the shot has been completed. If that is a penalty then that has to be a penalty in every game and then we are now telling defenders they can not try to block shots with their legs incase they get kicked. I get England fans are happy now because it suits their agenda and the Englands players did nothing wrong in that situation. The error is the VAR and then the ref not overruling the VAR when he watched it back on field. To me if Dumfries hits Kane before Kane shoots its a penalty but the contact happens after the shot and comes from Kanes follow through. If Kane has zero follow through on his foot then there is no contact and we have to allow defenders a chance to make blocks. Do we really want a game where defenders have to have their arms behind their backs and unable to lift their legs to block shots???

Off the top of your head how many times have you seen an attacker get his shot off fully on his own and catch a defender after and get a penalty??? If you want those fouls given then what are defenders able to do to block shots when they already have to defend with their arms behind their backs. Do you really want the game we love being managed in such a way?? Decisions like that ruin the sport and if those are given then we will see 2 or 3 every single game. Do you want a game where goals mean less because they are so easy to score because defenders cant even try to defend???

Terry you are lying Dumfries never said it was a foul he said he is big enough to take full responsibility. He himself said he barely touched him and he was just trying to block the shot but when there is any contact you know what can happen. You are bias and using Dumfries to try to defend a decision we all know was wrong. The list of the experts, pundits, media outlets and so on have all said it is not a penalty including many English fans and pundits and ex players.

I am sure it is the same for many players of most nations but we dont hear as much about their private lives in general. I also think the way they play football plays a big part as it is just horrible to watch. They are 100% the most talented team on the planet right now and by some distance yet they chose to play horrible football you would expect to be played by the lesser teams who have no option. I remember when Mourinho had his first stint at Chelsea and how awful he made them to watch and although they had success to me it was unacceptable. When you have talent like Chelsea had and now talent like England have winning alone should not be enough. I have watched Real madrid sack managers afetr winning lots of trophies for the style of football and that is the mentaility we should have with the players we have. Just sit back and think for a minute Southgate had so many players he left out Grealish, Rashford, White, Sterling, Solanke, Calevert Lewin, Henderson, Chillweel, Branthwaite, Maddison, Mitchell, Lewis Maguire and so on and many of them would be key players starting every game even for the stronger teams. Football is about entertainment we watch sport for entertainment and pound for pound based on players talent and how the team plays England are the worst team in the world to watch from every team I have seen play.

How can you be both a Spurs and a Netherland..... Why would you do that to yourself; they are basically the same just a different color of jersey.🤦‍♂🤦‍♂

58 years since the WC win. 24 years in the wilderness. 90s had near misses in both WC and Euros. 2000s had lots of expectation but no delivery. 2010s were mostly in the wilderness too. This is why England fans are insecure. We have seen everything but victory in an international tournament. There are people about to retire who haven’t seen England win an international tournament.

Nah, you simply rate Premier league so much above all the other leagues in the world and don't watch enough of the others leagues so therefore you think that. but truth be told, on Paper you are on Par with Spain, France and Belgium. @@NiklasMJ Foden was the best player in the prem last season. Bellingham was arguably the best in Spain. (He wasn’t but you could make a strong argument) Kane broke records in Germany. Saka had another fantastic season with Arsenal, he is undoubtedly one of the me in his position in world football. Declan Rice is top 5 in position no doubt Walker is one of the best in his position and played for dominant Man City team. France is the only team player for player than compete with England.

@@CookieDee11 Foden.. yes he was voted that.. but can you really definitively say that?? no because what do you weigh most? individual skill, goals, impact, the drop in skill of your entire team when you are not on the field?? see when you really put every factor in you simply can't come to a conclusion of who the best player is because everyone has their weak points and everyone has disciplines that are not as important to their line of work, and well if we break it down to individual fields or attributes or whatever you wanna call then we can fx easily say that Rodri by far was the most impactful and important player this PL season, every single team gave City a run for it's money when he wasn't on the field, they scored less goals and conceded more and this is despite their star roster, he is simply the corner stone of the entire team, but yes Foden does top the charts in many of the attributes Kane.. well spot on, only thing to note is that Bayern really is the best team when it comes to working for their nr 9, they are one of the best at assisting and opening op the space for him.. that being said only Haaland would really be able to do as good if not better for them. (though lets be real he isn't playing any where near that level on the national team for some reason, but thats prob a part of the whole thing mentioned above about the unnoticedc work done by other players) Saka 100% Rice 100% but no France is not the only one close Player for player, thing is the players from the other teams like fx Spain is just so different in playstyle that doing direct comparisons are completely pointless, but that does not mean they are worse overall, they are often far better in many discplines and then also far worse in others

Stop being so salty, boy. We fully deserved to win against the Dutch. We had a goal line clearance against us, disallowed goal, hit the woodwork, had more shots in general, more shots on target, more possession, more passes, higher pass accuracy and we fouled less than the Dutch. We beat the Dutch in every conceivable metric. On another night it could and probably should beaten that Dutch team by 2 or 3 goals.
