Partial foreshadowing. Yes, Juggernaut is the biggest guy in the prison, so Russell was attacking the wrong guy. (He actually takes Wade’s advice the wrong way later on and befriends Juggernaut) But Wade was also giving Russell advice. If you become the biggest guy in the prison, you put a target on your back because now everyone wants to be the guy to hand your ass to you. If you go for the second guy, everyone else still wants to go for the first guy and become the new top dog.

2:04 I find it so odd that Wade’s cancer is killing him again as soon as his healing powers are disabled. You’d think that his healing would get rid of the cancer, especially when he’s regenerated his entire body after being blown up earlier in this film. For some reason, the healing doesn’t seem to get rid of the cancer. It just keeps it from progressing any further. He regenerates exactly how he was when the healing power kicked in.
@ZizixxSamurai
Жыл бұрын
What if his healing factor considers cancer Wade's normal tissue? Think about Doctor Who episode where a dying kid in a gas mask got affected by healing nanodrones. The drones scanned him, and thought that this is how people should be. What if Wade's regeneration was affecting his cancer too?
@jordanelza8806
Жыл бұрын
@@ZizixxSamurai Perhaps. But it’s still curious why and how his healing power works that way. Wolverine’s healing power (although not as good or strong as THIS version of Deadpool) kept him in perfect health until it started to fail shortly before the time of “Logan” the movie.
@ZizixxSamurai
Жыл бұрын
@@jordanelza8806 Well, Wade got his powers when he already had cancer, so his ultra regeneration may have considered the cancer cells as something OK, since they were already present when the regeneration factor developed.
@rishabhagrawal704

I don't think deadpool's healing power works that way. His healing never cures cancer. Rather it negates it's ill effects. Cancer spreads in the body and multiples itself forming new but cancer infected cells. His healing on the other hand keeps the cells fully functional. His healing can do nothing on its own. It needs cancer to be effective. It may be termed as his own negative cancer.

According to Francis, Deadpool’s cells attack his cancer “as fast as it can form”. My guess is this means containing the damage cause by the rampant mitosis without actually undoing it.

@IlluvatarPaladin

@@lordzaboem But why would the healing factor work like that? I mean, it would make sense if that was the case, but that sounds... Really weird. For example, IIRC, Deadpool in my example reconstructed himself from a pool of his blood mixed with Cable's, and when Cable would teleport in the future, Deadpool would be forced to teleport as well... It was something of the sort. So his body had changed in the process of the recovery. I think it's honestly just a plot device to give him more of a tragic backstory / reality.

@TheOnlyBiodude
Жыл бұрын
The nature of cancer and the nature of healing have a connection. You are asking for alot of cells to grow perfectly to the exact conditions they once were without any defects. Your body is constantly dealing with cancer every day, you just don't notice it because the body typically deals with it. Your body has cells inside it dying and multiplying all the time. When you are injured you are encouraging the body to produce more cells for the sake of healing. Lizards are able to regenerate body parts without issues, but we believe its only possible for them because of their complex DNA structure. To compare, they have 10x more genetic information than we do. If humans were able to regrow limbs, it would always be a considerable risk. Cancer is unfortunately the reason we avoid regenerating things directly onto our bodies. So yeah, hopefully now you can understand why Wade Wilson is completely covered in cancer. But it doesn't explain why Wade Wilson isn't a genetic blob of tumors yet. Now for the less scientific, head canon stuff: As to why he isn't a bloated tumor yet... I imagine it must be because his super healing factor has cell memory. That means that it stores information of how Wade Wilson should form again. Unfortunately for Wade it seems that the cell memory was taught to reproduce his cancerous cells. Fortunately his cancer cells weren't late stage nor did he have tumors, as that would have made regeneration a mess.
@sirmackavelli1819

The healing factor pretty much mutated his cancer so it also heals but the healing factor stops it from killing him so deadpool is a walking tumour
