Absolutely love the way that Gunn flipped the cliched "prison talk" scene. Usually an imprisoned dad and their child have a sympathetic heart-to-heart, but here it literally just becomes a scream-off.

"It does other things too," and being unable to say what those things are. Or at least, not in any amount of detail. If you needed it for other specific things you would call out those things. Her purpose in the DC universe was to be mean, cruel and non-empathetic. There were calls by fans and activists to make her more relatable, prettier, or nicer. Her creator resisted because that's not who she is. She's basically a Process Queen from the DMV who got jumped up to the top of the Deep State. Her entire purpose is to potentially kill the entire Justice League (if it came to that) by using the world's worst super-criminals as disposable deniable assets.

Its absolutely crazy how James Gunn not only made a sequel that was WAY better than the first, but also made us care about each character who were used as jokes in the comics

Love this movie and any one who can put Superman in the ICU is very badass to me.

3:38 is almost EXACTLY when Bloodsport clocks the pen cup and why he doesn't need to look to grab it later. From the moment he knew Amanda was willing to use his own daughter against him this man was ready to go to WORK.

The most messed up and wholesome likely possibility is that, if Superman knew Bloodsport personal problems, especially with his daughter, he would feel complete empathy for him, despite the fact he shot him with a kryptonite bullet.
