At age 13 I finally prevailed upon my parents to quit piano. At 14 I discovered boogie woogie. At 76 I am playing more than ever. Thanks Terry for keeping this stuff alive and public!

It has also been my observation that people who play the piano (or some other musical instrument) even if not very well, seem to need a lot fewer medications in their life. It's the cheapest therapy you will ever find.

Every time I hear Boogie Woogie it brings tears of joy to my eyes. I think this was a gift from God to make people smile and dance. If Boogie Woogie doesnt touch your heart then something is wrong

One of my favorite things about watching these public performances is seeing all of the seniors light up. No doubt even more impactful on them when it's a younger performer playing for them, reminds them that the music they've enjoyed throughout their long life is still being appreciated and gives them reassurance that the next generation isn't so bad afterall. The playing from everyone was incredible, but I already knew that since I've seen a lot of your and Dr. K's other content.

I have no idea how you can't get up and dance to this. To make your body stay quiet and not move. For me it's bittersweet. Arthritis has finally won the battle. Boogie boogie - I can no longer play it (or anything else) and can no longer dance to it. I can still enjoy listening to it, though, and bop in my chair. All is not lost.

This is epic. But even the word epic is not big enough for what happened that day! Thanks a billion times for sharing this magic moment with us!

This is like the 50th time I've watched this amazed every damn time

This is one of my favorites and I've just played it this morning I think 3 times interspersed with others of similar content. My dad asked a friend's mom to teach him boogies so ogie when it first was popular and literally got a small pump organ that fit in the room he shared in the Army nearing the end of WWII as he could play well enough by ear to attract those who were more accomplished. (Dad is 94 but doesn't do social media or even email but watches KZread and knows of Dr. K) I sent my brother this video to share with him on a bigger screen than a phone. You guys are so much fun!

You can learn boogie woogie. Learn 3 chords, C F G and mix them up. Left hand plays one not ata time in a long short rhythm, right hand plays the notes randomly to each chord. Lookup basic 12 bar blues.

Brilliant all and Terry, I thought you weren't far from around my area with that accent.

I thought the last video I watched with Brendan and Terry had the piano begging for mercy but this finished it off. That's some good stuff....

WOW!!!! Goosebumps so many times listening to this. Piano played to perfection… one of the best sounds one can experience. That harmonica chiming in at the exactly right spot… switch and swapping instruments 🤯. So so good 🙏🙏👏👏
