Deadhead HIGHLIGHT REEL reaction Devin Townsend

Музыка

Deadhead is one of my favorite songs and the Royal Albert Hall performance is especially great. Many reaction channels (including my own) have done videos of that song so I thought I would compile some of my favorite moments from each reaction.

Same. Devy's mix is always such a wall of sound that it passes right through you. He's not just a virtuoso, he also understands how music conveys emotion and how it can affect people.

It's funny, the main two reactions I almost always see for the high notes in this song are either laughing or crying. They'll either drop their jaws and then do a silent laugh in disbelief, or their eyes will water and they'll have to hold back tears. It's amazing how this song affects people so emotionally.

Their clothes don't match their age group is I think what everyone is picking up on. We all have unspoken rules in society about who is supposed to wear what, and they break them which is - I think - why people get that "weirded out" feeling looking at them, maybe. Not a judgment of them or us, just an observation.

Yeah, unfortunately there were a couple clips that I didn't normalize the audio on...the other problem is that some of the source videos have the song quieter than the talking, and for others, that is reversed. I normalized every video (minus 1-2 that I missed) to the same dB so that the overall talking and music volume is the same. If I ever do a part 2, I may do things differently though :).
