Deadbeat escapement(2)

This provides a comparison point to the video I uploaded previously, showing a recoil escapement. This type of escapement is designed to 'lock' after the tick or tock, and you'll note that once the spiky escape wheel moves, it remains absolutely solid while the pendulum completes its swing. That's the advantage to this type of clock, the mechanism interferes with the swing of the pendulum as little as possible. This tends to make for better timekeeping, which is why all the better movements used this system.
Also, yes I know my clock needs a clean. :)

I have a Ridgeway model 225, date 8/27/86, Movement CC-1161-853-114-CM. It will not stay in beat, I have found that the anchor escapement is loose on the shaft. I can rotate the anchor slightly and it will run just fine, then all of the sudden it will slip and get out of beat again. What is an acceptable way to secure it to the shaft? Thank you Hager Hay
