Remote Candle Re-Light

This is showing a candle lighting trick. When you blow out a candle, that white stream of stuff most people take to be smoke is in fact wax vapour that's still hot enough to be drawn up and out the top of the wick. It's this that burns when the candle is lit.
It stands to reason in that case that you should be able to light that stream somewhere other than on the wick. This shows that working.
I blow out the candle, then hold a butane lighting wand about four or five inches above the candle. When the stream of wax hits the flame from the wand, the wax stream catches and acts like a fuse, leading the flame back down to the wick where the candle relights.
Fun to do, this, but you do need still air for it to work well. I did it in that jar to make it easier, but it's especially impressive if the candle is in open air.
