For players that seriously wants to challenge themselves, I think any winstreak should have at least some form of self-imposed restriction or rules. If you play with your absolute best loadout, you're so likely to win by default that you will miss out on many learning opportunities and the "streak" will become a very long endurance race that is honestly not as fun to watch or even play.

Its a double edged sword imo, if you limit yourself too much then sometimes the reason you lost it are the limitations themselves and not lack of game knowledge, gamesense etc.. Going unhinged full meta blight gives you a chance to win every single game it quickly spirals down into a snoozefest because of how rare those challenging games can be. While that may not be healthy a better way to express strength in core game, i think would be streaking in one sitting. Like a twitch marathon length streak, with no sleep, little to no breaks etc.. That'll show both your endurance and how consistent you can perform in game and irl.

Would you consider playing weaker killers in a streak a restriction? Because Clearly the only reason this went the way it did is because it was full tilt max power blight. But I doubt a streak even half as long would be feasible if you were trying to do the streak with say piggy or trapper.

Yeah, the chat is often much worse. I had a similarly vexatious experience when I went up against a winstreak Blight. Not only is there little you can do against a decent Blight, I was intentionally looping sub-optimally in order to complete a "Vault x times in chase" challenge (we were gonna lose but at least I might be able to complete my challenge). Someone in his chat was shitting on my looping so I called them out on it and explained what was up. Even after that, the streamer was insufferable and his chat, even more so. It's futile trying to explain to their cheerleaders the sheer gulf between solo queue randoms doing tome challenges and a sweaty AF Blight on a winstreak. Winstreaks suck, the end.

The truly unique aspect of the DBD community that sets it apart from any other online gaming community is that people blame other players for playing in an effective manner or utilizing overpowered things in a competitive multiplayer game. In any other game, the vast majority of blame would fall on the developers for allowing these unfun, toxic or uncounterable mechanics or characters to even exist in the first place. DBD is what happens when the Twitter crowd who never touched any other competitive game in their lives get into a competitive scene and their well known victim complex and entitlement makes them think that they have any right to demand their opponents to play in a certain way in a competitive game.

It just isn’t hard to make a team fall apart by tunneling and it’s frustrating as a survivor. It’s frustrating trying to get friends into this actually great game, bc 60% of killers are trying to get some big start getting 2000 wins in a row but like anybody cares. The killers are supposed to win, and you’re playing blight. But conveying the idea that this guy is just sweating his ass off sucks to my friends with 50-100 hours with a killer with 3000. That Blight dude somehow reminds me of that fat WoW dude from the South Park episode. He needs to stop taking the game so seriously.

I remember a Nurse I went against in soloq a few weeks ago going off on a massive rant after they 'lost' (2k, 2 out). They went on and on about how broken SWF is and next game, went against them again with 3 completely different survivors and got absolutely stomped. They shit talked me afterwards of course saying they finally stomped my SWF even though the other 3 were obviously very different randoms. People who play the strongest killers in a sweaty way are strange like that

Glad he got humbled, not saying he deserved the shit but just saying he deserved and had to be humbled because it was an absolutely disgusting win streak, everyone who is more than decent enough can pick up the strongest killer + strongest perks and play in the most sweatiest and ruthless way possible and call it a "win streak" and then bitch about having someone your skill level end it instead of pub stomping casual solo players back to back.

I went and wattched the vod out of curiosity, and wasn't prepared for his display name to literally be "snipe me plz" after this video i was expecting to see him complain about getting sniped by a group with perks he doesnt like but i wasnt expecting him to do that after basically asking for it also probably shouldve, but i didnt expect how many in his chat were trying to rationalize how this doesnt count actually! doesnt matter if he lost the winstreak keeps going! at least to his credit he shot that down a few times and accepted the loss

The mental gymnastics that he had to have been doing, to never have once prepared for this inevitable streak-ending game(for nearly 2k games) is that part that should be studied - and what I think is most surprising to people.
