Thank you so much for doing this, the specs were actually easy to compare unlike most benchmarks. I'm probably gonna stick with DDR3 for my machine. The difference of ~2GB/s between the two is nice, but not worth me spending another $50 to get DDR4.

Love this, to this day still a great video! It’s really helped me get a good idea of where my pc stands. I’ve recently revived my old PC that I abandoned due to ram issues. Now reviving it, (i7 4790k, evga rtx 3070, evga 750w psu) I have been looking around to get an idea of if it’s still quite viable today for video/photo editing utilizing DDR3. I was definitely pleasantly surprised. I was running 4x4gb hyper x fury sticks @ 1600mhz, one stick went bad so I’m at 12gb now and it’s still snappy. Just ordered a set of Corsair vengeance pro 2400mhz sticks to hopefully pair it closer to modern performance.
