How things have changed ! My Dad was a captain for TWA and retired in 1975 . I spent most of my earlier days traveling around the country with him. A coast to coast, 5 hour trip non stop resulted in an overnight layover, and 85 hours per month flight time. You guys have it rough now, and should be praised for your love of flight. We thank you all for the service so needed by modern society. Good luck, and be safe. The spirit of our Lord be beneath your wings, you're runways always too long, your altitude too high, and the plane never fail.

85 hrs at 5 hrs per day means 17 days on and 13 days off. I prefer the other way, 17 days off per month which I managed 2/3'rds of the time over 22 yrs.

Greetings from South Africa doing my fixed wing training here, Thank you for the little pieces of detail that makes this video all the more inspiring. Great video Captain!
So cool to see the look in your eyes as you were actually flying the aircraft: great to see a pilot who actually LOVES and ENJOYS his job!!!! I was a flight attendant for TWA back in the day, and too many times I flew with a piloting crew who hated flying!!! It always seemed to make my job a little harder when the pilots weren't happy with their job. I remember the 4 and 5 day trips TWA used to send us on; they were brutal, but overall I had the most fun I've ever had in my entire life! Anyway, thank you for the video!

I LOVE watching videos of flights from place to place, and since our world has come to a standstill because of this pandemic, I’ve been scared to fly...so I can “pretend” to fly by watching these videos. (Yes, I’m weird.) 🤪 But I have ALWAYS wondered what a day was like for a pilot (how many flights in a day, etc.). And then suddenly your video shows up on my feed! Very interesting! I can’t believe how long of a day you really have! And here I thought my day as a teacher was long! Wrong! Anyway, I’ve subscribed and can’t wait to watch more videos! Thank you for getting people from place to place safely. And be safe out there! 😁👍

SPOT ON! This is precisely what I ( and many others) have been looking for. The shot of the sunset at 6:00 was so well done and one of my favorite sights to view while in the air. And yes, those midwest winters can be cold and cruel. The addition of the 'information bubbles' were an upgrade above many others vids. Stay healthy, fly safe and we too all shall make it through this pandemic. Once again a great example of someone doing what he is passionate about, is quite good at it and has a slice of artistry within.
