Day in the Life of a SOLO Female Rancher!
Up in the cold North of Montana lives a female rancher who recently lost her husband and now ranches as a Solo Female!
She lives on a semi off grid system in the middle of Grizzly Bear Country.
Lisa is one of the worlds most interesting people and lives from the sales of sheep and beef that she raises. You can purchase any of her products at a-land-of-grass-ranch.com

Ranching is not for the weak!! Thank you for being tough for us so we benefit from your knowledge and strength. God bless you both. Loved this video. My Dad was a rancher that lost his ranch sadly due to unscrupulous neighbor ranchers and thrives and stupid government agencies years ago.
This woman is an inspiration to me!!!!
Oh my Goodness ! She is soooo interesting and informative ! Hope you have her on again ..... 🙂.
More people like this rancher please. When people love what they do the product is so much better.
❤ she's an immediate friend of the family...everyone's family ❤
What an awesome lady! A real role model for us female farmers! I run my herd of sheep mostly all by myself, with a little help from family, and it can be very tough at times! But strong women like this are role models for me. Wonderfully! Thanks for that video!
What a lovely woman. She should be on the cover of all women’s magazines. A true inspiration
That lady, Lisa is cool, doing everything to keep that farm working and taking care of all the animals. Good luck to her and thanks for the great video Trinity.
Such an amazing woman. She is someone I'd love to know and be friends with. ❤

Lisa is great.
Thank you for this video. I hope Lisa reads this message. I am a 5th generation rancher's daughter from Hawaii. However, I don't call myself a rancher or cowgirl because I feel like I've yet to earn that title. Thirteen years ago, I took on my family's ranch and slaughterhouse because, as a mother myself, I realized the immense value of it and didn't want it to die in my generation. It bothered me that over 90 percent of the beef raised in Hawaii is shipped out of state. I wanted to ensure that my family had the best, highest quality, and most nutritious food to feed them, while also preserving the cultures of small island life and ultimately my family's legacy. Despite losing my brother, who helped me with everything, and battling all the changing forces and challenges of time, women like Lisa truly inspire me that I can do it. She never complains once in her circumstances, and that's what I love about people like her-they don't make excuses or complain. They just keep taking on the challenges one step at a time. God bless you, Lisa.

I love your goals for sure. I don’t know anything about the agriculture on Hawaii. If you would be interested in doing an interview sometime, please message me on Facebook.

Coming back to local food is absolutely critical! The "they" (whoever they are) are working really hard to divide & conquer. Focusing on our community, to build up & build together CAN bring us back to a family-centered, productive, prosperous, inter-dependent & yet self-sufficient nation. People like all of you here can make this happen!

Keep it up in Hawaii! What you do is very valuable! May God Bless you and yours with prosperity and health!
One of the most well educated and capable women. ❤
Lisa is the best! I stock up my lamb and beef from her spot at the Great Falls Farmer's market every summer. Generous, kind, gracious, tough as nails, sweet as honey.
Interesting......Hard Work ! but Rewarding....👍 This lady knows her stuff. Grizzly Bear sitting at the picnic table. ( She must be a good cook too!) .😳
Lisa is an admirable woman indeed. Her attitude and willingness to work through adversity are strengths that our society seems to be losing. Great video Trinity!🙏🇺🇸
Very cool to see how all the sheep, cattle dogs, and cows want pats and scratches. Says a lot about the care and effort this women puts into her animals. Cheers and hope for a warm spring!
The pioneer spirit lives on in so many people. They helped make this country great!
What an amazing and gritty woman. Cant say enough to describe her.
Thank you so much to Lisa for allowing Trinity to do this video. So much learned, this message must be shared!!!!
Awesome video Trinity. Thank you for introducing us to Lisa !
LOVED this interview!! I am raising goats by myself in east KY. I am 65 and my husband had a heart attack on Christmas Eve, but he survived because I took him to the hospital instead of going to bed. He is still recovering. But even before his heart attack he didn't do much, because he's "retired". I found Lisa to be very inspiring.
What a nice lady she is. Love the operation she had there. And those dogs are just incredible. I love watching them work and protect the herds.
What a pure lady, love how she laughs, GOD bless you
She's awesome!
What a privilege to spend a day at Lisa’s ranch and listen to her tell about her life. Thank you Trinity and Lisa!
Fantastic! Lisa is one in s million! Hats off to you Lisa! Top notch! True patriot!
These long form videos, really telling rural peoples stories are excellent!
Kudos to a hardworking, resilient woman. Her example should inspire all women to follow your heart and never give up. It takes HARD work and determination to face, survive, and succeed in her environment.
LOVE IT.. thank you Trinity for introducing us to this wonderful woman and a land of grass ranch!!
I was in NZ in 1970. I was told they had two million people and 80 million sheep. 40-minute mark.
I know a woman that tends sheep by herself her four legged heloers is all she needs the ones for flock protection and the ones to herd they're incredible
Y’all make me hungry. 🥰. So enjoyed this video, very interesting. 👏🏻👏🏻 . Thanks.
Such an exceptional interview! So much information! I will definitely checkout Lisa’s website as I am knitter and I sew and I LOVE wool! I am so grateful to you for providing this opportunity to see Lisa’s life and her products.
This is one impressive lady, she has her ducks in a row. I grew up a city boy and move to south Alabama and married a peanut farmer's daughter, I learn new thing every time I listen to you.
What a truly interesting woman. Salt of the earth. Strong and steadfast. Thank you
Love this gal! Pure joy & contentment in what’s she’s doing with her time.
This was great to see. I appreciate her strength and endurance.
I love her house! It looks so comfortable and homey!
Lived on a ranch in coastal California and had a propane stove - very handy when the power went out! Also had gravity fed water from a spring. Sure wasn’t the typical way people think of Californians. My kids and I absolutely loved it!
Thanks for another great video Trinity! Lisa kind of reminds me a little of Annette Bening for some reason, and seems like such a dear. May God protect and bless her abundantly!
I am 73! We had lamb chops every week during the mid fifties to 60’s in Tennessee! It was pushed by the FDA and doctors.
Fascinating life of Lisa. She has to be a tough cookie. The work with the animals and then the weather. And she seems like a sweetheart.
I tip my hat to this very impressive woman.
She's no ordinary rancher's wife, is she. Very impressive. If anyone can make it out there, she can! Thanks so much to both of you for the interview and glimpse into real life on the range..

Well from the sounds of things she's very well-educated and she came up from the boot strings
This woman was raised right. She works hard, keeps her community in mind, and thanks God for her food. God bless you Lisa. And God bless your family and your business.
Enjoyed this show very much. Thank you Lisa and Trinity.
Formidable but engaging lady! Thanks, Trinity. If you could find a whole bunch of stories like this, you could create a great PBS series.
This was really great ! I really enjoy seeing how other people ranch or farm in other parts of the United States. Lisa is a inspiration for me. I admire her hard work. I also raise grass-fed sheep on my small farm, doing most of the work myself. Thanks for another great video Trinity !
Back in the 70's and 80's I remember Levi's made jean jackets with a wool horse blanket lining. The lining was in the main body and in the sleeves. Those jackets were the best! Very warm in the winter and surprisingly not really uncomfortable in the summer. I remember others asking how I could wear a winter jacket in the summer but living next to Lake Michigan it came in pretty handy more often than not. Besides if it got too warm I simply took it off.

My husband loved those coats. They were sold as chore coats.
I use a stove about as old as she uses. I wouldn't have one of those new ones with electronic ignition for the same reasons she states. I've been listening to her blog posts on her site. Very informative. Thanks for having her on your channel!

I have a gas stove with electronic ignitors. I can't use the oven when the electric is off but I can light the top burners with a match.
That lady is AWSOME!!!!💪🇺🇸💯🦅
Mornin' Trinity 🤠 What an awesome day with Lisa you brought to us❣️ She's certainly "doing it" !!! (and I'm sure Steve is right there with her!!) I can empathize with her loss of a partner and husband... You did not say how long it has been since Steve passed, (given the talk about drought years, I surmised its been at least 5 years), but Lisa has pulled up her boot straps and jumped into the ranch with both feet and done an amazing job!!! I have a farm (only 20 acres - which is relatively small compared to Montana ranches) and lost my husband suddenly almost 7 years ago. We had been married 40 years at the time.. It's funny how people don't realize just WHAT having some land and livestock means.. when my husband passed, the most asked question everyone wanted to know was "when are you going to sell the farm and move to town? " ....yeah, that's not going to happen!! It's not easy to carry on alone, but you do it...one day at a time, one foot in front of the other.. if you can't do something, you figure out a way to get 'er done! I'm in my 70's now, still work the part time job I've been at for 22 years off the farm, and manage to get daily chores done, feed hauled and put up and livestock cared for... KUDOS TO LISA!!! I wish her all the best for many years to come!!! 🇺🇲BUY LOCAL🇺🇲 Thanks again, Trinity.... Safe travels, friend ❤❤ Stay FROSTY... Keep your powder dry and your head on a swivel... 🇺🇲🇺🇲WWG1WGA🇺🇲🇺🇲NCSWIC🇺🇲🇺🇲
Love this brave lady's story. I know a few women who have had the strength it takes to keep a farm going -- even a dairy farm -- going after losing a husband. So many people try to take advantage of a widow, but a strong woman knows how to send them away real quick.
Refreshing to see good hard working, humble people living their dream with little influence from the worldly things. These are the kinds of friends and neighbors one could hope to have.
We retired Townies do too. Never stop. They are wonderful. What a resilient woman, love her.
Thank you so much for introducing us to this wonderful lady. She is the lifeblood of America.
Thank you for introducing us to Lisa, an incredible, independent woman. What a beautiful ranch. But I didn’t see a greenhouse, lol. Thanks again Trinity 👍. Those trim pieces are rosettes 😎
Yes, She's very self sustaining and good hard working moral woman.
Fantastic mini documentary, she’s a gem!
Love this! She’s the kind of people that makes this country great. Lisa if you ever want to have an old want to be rancher women come help you for a week on the ranch I’d pay to do it. It would be so educational, distressing and just plain fun for me. 😊

I’m sure lots of ladies would do this! An internship, if you will. I would love this opportunity! I have a small beef/sheep/pig/chicken operation in North Western Ontario, and I feel like there’s so much to learn still. Lisa would be an amazing mentor.
Try Moroccan seasoning mix on your lamb. Especially great on lamb shoulder cut cooked in a pressure cooker for just a few minutes. Love this interview.
What an awesome lady reminds me of my grandmother just strong and independent
I will be buying wool products from you! I love supporting American Made products and small local businesses. You have an amazing Spirit and are well connected with your animals in the best way.
I loved this. You are an inspiration, Lisa!
Thank you for the content! It amazes me that big city folks think farmers and ranchers are dumb and not educated but a majority of the folks you interview are well educated. So nice to see prayers before you eat, if young city kids could be around this lifestyle for a short time it would probably change their lives.

Absolutely loved this video. I really want to buy one of her lambs now! She is wonderful, smart and brave
That was some of your best work too date . Thank for the show
Very interesting episode. First time ever listened to a sheep herder. Know some shearers and spinners but this is a whole other discipline. Lady Graham is doing great work. Thanks for posting.
Another wonderful video, Trinity. We like how you are bringing the reality of ranching to us. Lisa works hard at what she loves and is very resourceful in utilizing the wool too. Awesome!! Thanks so much for sharing and keep up the great reporting.
What a nice dose of reality that most people would not understand. Thank you. I worked on a ranch in the Sandhills of Nebraska, nice to revisit reality. Especially the winter.
What a great video!, geez what an amazing lady, salt of the earth! Thanks Trinity 👍
What an incredible insight into Everything America 🇺🇸. Once again Trinity you have outdone yourself with telling someone’s first hand story Thank you 😊 She’s my hero ! Wow. What a wonderful strong women. Her best comment ! “ I don’t like anyone telling me what to do”
I pray the give away goes to someone who is physically struggling to garden due to a disability or someone who is aged and struggles to beable to garden. Best Wishes in choosing someone to bless. Thanks for your generosity and act of kindness to gift another. Roel
Fantastic interview! Thank you for introducing us to such an inspiring rancher.
Another great video, thanks. So sad ,to me at least, to witness the passing of an era.
Great lady way to go trinity great video love outwest . Elk hunter
Lisa is a very easy going gal and tuff, I like lamb , it is very good meat to eat , great video and her story.
What a survivor! Ioved this story. Thank you for sharing. ❤
THIS WAS SUCH A WONDERFUL BROADCAST! GOD BLESS AMERICA, MONTANA, LISA & HER SHEEP! SO ENJOYED THIS!
Love this episode, as she reminds me of my Mom- a MT born cattle/sheep rancher wife but first a daughter of a Lewistown farmer and rancher. Some of my best memories are of helping her in lambing barn.
Another captivating and wonderfully informative video Trinity! Thank you!
This was 💯% amazing video! Thank you for bringing us this! 🌿💙
I always enjoy your videos Trinity. I have a tremendous respect for this woman.
I loved this you and you content is awesome. She's a lovely lady .and tuff as steal when needed ❤
We need more people like her in the world, what a grate lady.
Great video about Lisa's ranch! I agree we need to keep people like Lisa on the Land!
Please keep this up -your videos are great - brings me back to my years working on a ranch in Wyoming- I had been born in Wyoming, my father left ranching when I was 5 - we ended up in Baltimore / after I graduated from high school I returned to Wyoming found a job on a ranch - what a great experience - a great foreman and wife - wonderful memories those years were a blessing
Really enjoyed this! Thanks
What a delightful video. I loved it!!
❤ much respect for this rancher. She is a true inspiration ❤
I love this video!! Thank you so much sharing this!
The top of the door caseing is called a Corbel.
I enjoyed your video very much. ONE OF YOUR BETTER ONES. Very interesting. Keep them coming Jake McClellan The Oregon Boy 👦
I am a Brazilian man and I m very impressed with this woman Living and working in this place with tough weather and dealing with such a bunch of animals God bless and protect her
This lady is capable of working the farm with her 2 dogs. Glad she has local friends and adult kids if she needs help. Total respect for her!!!!
So inspirational! Thank you for this video and thank you Lisa for being an amazing woman who wouldn't quit. I lost my husband and partner, a lifelong rancher, in October of 22. Ours is a small operation, which at our age turned into a non profit animal rescue, (23 dogs, 30 cats, 8 horses) an Airbnb, a small goat dairy and horseback riding instruction. My family expected me to quit and it's been a year and a half ..taking each day at a time. This is exactly what I needed to hear!!
Thank you for showing this my husband and I throughly enjoyed the video. We love lamb. Love lamb chops. Tell her how we enjoyed her and praying for her success.
What a wonderful video. I hope she is on this land for a very long time. Outstanding!
Thank you for showing us the true rancher. Totally respect what she is doing. Love her herding dog and his quiet manner. The ways her dogs coordinate is impressive. She claims to not be a trainer, I beg to differ. Her quiet, calm approach carries through to her leader approach to her ranch. Her quiet release to her dog, she is a "trainer". Love seeing these people and how they approach their living.
