    You sir have no idea what your talking about. For one every car has a designated maintenance chart for when they are due to for maintenance, and you SHOULD follow it. Every car has common issues that customers never have to worry about bc of recalls or preventative maintenance under warranty. Honda and Toyota are as good and bad as they’ve ever been. I work in at least 2 or 3 of each a day and I’d say they are the only companies worth buying your daily driver from. There’s not a car out there that you can ignore maintenance and get away with never seeing a a shop.

    Nice video. I'm curious about the fluids. So someone in parts prepares everything for you for each job? How do they determine what additives are needed or which cars need additives?

  • @benjaminmayfield6954

    @benjaminmayfield6954

    6 ай бұрын

    When the service advisor writes up an RO (repair order) the system automatically sends the info to parts. They receive a “pick order” and that sheet tells them what is on the ro and they’ll know what products to pull. They’ll set them out with a note or some way to note what ro the parts go to. Tech matches their ro with the pick order and takes them back to the bay for their service. As far as BG or other companies (my dealership uses Daytona/10MM) it’s just additives. Does it help? Sure but it sky rockets the cost for the customer. That atf service shouldn’t cost 300$ for just a 6spd trans. At my dealership the 9/10 spd trans start around 300$ because of the fluid it takes and the process. But that’s not of concern.

We get 0.3 for A service, 0.4 for tire rotation, 0.5-0.8 for mm3 (depending on transmission), 2.1 (4cyl) and 3.8 (v6) for mm4, 0.5 for mm5, 0.3 for mm6, 0.5 for mm7 and 1.4 for mm9 (Bservice).

    @jasonlecreux1175

    4 ай бұрын

    @@daveclark8337 no we don’t. The There’s honestly nothing wrong with the BG kits, Wynn is another company that makes similar products. The engine oil cleaners are definitely worth doing every once and awhile, especially since no one properly maintains their cars. Honda’s maintenance minder in my opinion is flawed, from 100% to 0% should be no more than 5000-6000 miles, the fact it can reach 10000 miles is ridiculous. For those going past 6k miles, I would be recommending an oil cleaner additive every 2nd or 3rd oil change. I believe at my dealership an oil change/tire rotation/brake fluid exchange is about $275 CAD plus tax (labor rate $120 CAD/hour)
