    Enjoyed the views of the island and history of the salt mining! Seeing some areas of the inside of the ship was cool. Thank you!

    Thanks for this video. We will be on the Explorer on December 10th and I had rented a golf cart in Bonaire, so it was good to see where to go. Good to know about having problems finding an eating place in Bonaire. Looking forward to the rest of your Explorer videos. First RCCL cruise as we usually cruise Carnival out of Galveston and can't wait to go.

    You're welcome! If you want to spend most of the day seeing the island on the cart, there is a north route too. They're very helpful with the map. We just did the south route. I think the north route has more non-rocky beaches if you wanted to swim or snorkel. Have a GREAT time!

    Going to Bonaire in January and we want to rent a golf cart just wondering did you reserve a gold cart online before going and did you happen to notice if they had golf carts with a back seat as there is 4 of us going and wanted to rent one golf cart.

    Hard-boiled eggs, you have to smash/crack at the fattest part of the egg and make sure you peel it with the membrane, if you miss the membrane attached to the shell it will ruin your egg.

    My gosh! What a day to try to find food! I really like that you rented a golf cart! Brilliant! What made you think to do that? Can you share the cost? Amount of time you were allowed to have it? And were there any spots along the way that had a beach you could enjoy? (Everything looked Rocky...) truffle fries are french fries tossed in truffle oil. We have a burger place near us that serves truffle fries. So good!!!

    Golf carts are often discussed in our cruise FB groups. It was $100 for 9-6 and a $100 refundable deposit. There are definitely non rocky beaches along the way marked on the map!

    Great fun video!! I hope you weren’t charged for your meal at Chops, the food should be at least hot for the cost to eat in the specialty restaurants. On our recent Royal Caribbean cruise we were offered 40% off to eat at Chops on the last night, our meal was very good but I don’t think I would pay full price for it. ⚓️

    Imagine how hard it would be to get a table for lunch if weren’t the only ship in port. That’s the downside to gigantic cruise ships especially in small ports. There’s really no where for 4000 people to go.

    You need to try a Windstar cruise. It’s the official cruise line of the James Beard foundation. Truffle fries are fried in “truffle oil” although on RC I can guarantee it’s truffle flavored seed oil. Red velvet cake is chocolate. The red color comes from the raw cacao it’s supposed to be made from but on RC it’s probably white cake with red food coloring so they added the chocolate for flavor.

    So do you not need to take your passport out on each port? With the seacard its enough?

  • @AllThingsWagner

    @AllThingsWagner

    9 ай бұрын

    We have never taken our passports into port. Some folks at least take a photocopy. The ship crew will announce whether you need to also take a photo ID along with your seapass card. Many ports require that. If that’s your passport, that’s fine, but it can be any kind of state issued photo ID.

    We live there every year… it’s not you but Bonaire is actually not very happy with cruise people. So that could have been part of the experience. They’re called “toilet paper users”. Most of the experiences you find out about on the ship don’t benefit the locals.
