This cruise was in January. We usually cruise when school is in session, and have found cruises in January to be much less expensive because the demand is down.
Elevate your wardrobe and cut off those factory belt loops on dresses/jumpsuits, etc. You don't need them and it improves the look of the belt/tie.
Completely agree! Also allows for long or short-waisted women to adjust where the tie sits. 👍🏼

It’s a sea pass card. It’s your access card to pay for everything on the ship, your cabin “key”, and required for access on and off the ship. It will be tucked behind your cabin number holder/frame at your cabin. Before you get it, If you have a drink package, you can use your boarding pass on your app or just give your cabin number. Same for dining reservations. When cabins open, around 1:00, you can get your sea pass card. 👍🏼

Just watching this and my heart is in my mouth. Looks like fun BUT I could not do it. 😅
Rule #1 take 25% of what you think you'll need. Unless you're Kim Kardashian, you don't need 3 outfits a day. The ship is big enough that no one is paying attention to what you wear anyway. Rule #2 Pack for the region. If you're going to Alaska, pack a hat, gloves, warm waterproof jacket and waterproof hiking shoes. An umbrella couldn't hurt. Everything else? Pack layers. T-shirts, sweaters or sweatshirts and a warm sweater. Jeans, leggings or pants of choice, but at least one pair of fleece lined pants for the cold. Rule #3 For evenings - 2 pairs of dress pants and 2 dressy tops or a dress. 1 pair of nice sandals. Unless you have assigned seating in the dining room no one will notice you playing mix and match. With some judicious packing you can probably get it all in a carry on.
Thanks to videos like these, I'm going to get mine done tomorrow. My biological father passed away from colon cancer that spread to his liver a couple of years ago. I'm 38 now, so I made the decision to go ahead and get checked. I just took the pouches to drink and WTF! This is nasty!!!!! Hope all goes well tomorrow morning l, can't wait until I can finally eat again 😂

@@AllThingsWagner Had my colonoscopy this morning and they found 3 colon polyps with one of them being a medium size. I won't find out if they were pre cancerous for another week. Thank God I went regardless! I thank people like you for putting videos out for awareness. The prep is the hardest part after that it's a breeze.
Wow we only have 23 kg from Australia so I’m going to have to be careful what I pack. Especially as we are leaving in winter to end of summer, autumn.

Just disembarked from NCL Jade. Ship app for any communication with other persons in our group NEVER WORKED! I even went to guest Services and staff could not get it to work. Caused some problems with coordination of activities. Used old school room to room phone!

It was a Viator (Trip Advisor) tour. The vendor was Curacao Dreams.
Hair dryers in the room are straight TRASH. I would NEVER advise anyone to rely on them. I had to run it soooo long it burned out the motor and my hair was still WET! Nope NEVER again!
There definitely ARE exceptions. I had one during one cruise that seemed to be running at less than full power. That was a difficult cruise. 🫤 I know now I should have asked my room steward for another one. 👍🏼
Every morning on the Disney Cruise Line groups there’s always a question of. Can I bring this? Can I bring that the latest one was a bottle warmer that has a USB cord but I’ve heard everything under the sun. I’ve even heard of Insta pot a blender. Oh, can I bring my blender? It’s battery operated. They may not make food as smooth as my kid likes. Leave it at your house to the back of the ship is not Gilligans Island. 8:26 8:26
We didn’t really see too many folks super fancy. I’m a tshirt jean short kinda gal. I didn’t feel under dressed ever.
Harmony docked right next to us (enchanted princesses )in May I think in costa maya. Princess line was good. Buffet not so great but all and all I’d cruise princess again. I went to maya Chan that port. Favorite place was nacho coocum in Cozumel.

On the last cruise we took, my husband had a full suitcase of clothes that he never even opened. 😂😂 we’re trying to get better.
On shoes, I just bring a pair of flip flops and some neutral wedges and wear my Skechers slip in walking shoes on the plane. The Skechers get me to the beach, and then out come the flip flops from my beach bag. Wedges go with a dress, pants, or nice city shorts for dinner. I must be a huge fan of Skechers because I wear the Go Walk pants for dinner. They are like leggings, but with a little flare at the bottom. So comfy for the plane and dining room. I love your tops with the 3/4 length sleeves. Double duty for day or evening.

My dive mask has prescription lenses giving me clear sight while diving. Highly recommended.
I travel with carry-on only. I can cruise for 4 weeks easily as I am Elite on Princess and get FREE, unlimited laundry and dry cleaning. As a guy, I don't need different clothes every day.

Yes you do need to pack your hair dryer. Carnival has theirs hooked up in a drawer and could not be removed. The cord was very short. It would not reach the top of my head or a mirror so I could see what I was doing.
That's crazy. Do you know if that's true on all Carnival ships? I don't remember that when we cruised Carnival, but it was several years ago.

We were told the drink package cannot be used on embarkation day.
You absolutely CAN use the package the second you board!! It is, however, a limited alcohol menu when cruising out of Texas due to alcohol/tax laws.

If you’re from the US, do you need to get a passport?
If cruising on a closed-loop cruise (leaving from and returning to same port), you do not need one, but it’s still best! If no passport you’ll need a photo ID AND a certified birth certificate. The hospital certificate is not sufficient. It needs to be certified (bumpy or colored stamp).

Great tips! I never have a problem getting an extension cord from our cabin attendant, I use it to get ready in the bathroom vs using the desk in the cabin. Plug it in at the desk or by the bed depending on your ship and extend to the bathroom.⚓️

I went on a Viking cruise last year with my dad. You definitely cannot wear casual clothes to the main restaurant on embarkation day. We didn’t have a problem with getting our luggage before dinner. Our luggage was in the hallway when our stateroom opened (I was finally glad to be able to drop off my duffel bag). My dad and I took our luggage from the hallway and took them inside our room. This was about 2PM. 😃
