His Pandorica speech. Smith knew how to be fun. But, when it was time to be scary, he could do it like no other.

Used to watch doctor who with my wife all the time, now that we have kids we don’t watch it because our kids find the show creepy and boring. No one enjoys the woke propaganda

Though RTD did say that the BBC can no longer afford to produce Doctor Who, and that the only reason it continued past the Jodie era was because Disney stepped in. So lets see. Disney isn´t exactly swimming in money right now, and if the current and maybe next season of Doctor Who doesn´t turn a profit, they might not renew their contract. If that happens well Doctor Who might go on hiatus once more.

It gets creepy when they turn established franchises into advertisements for gay/trans ideology. It's almost like they want to gain access to influence children. I'd also note that it was RTD who gradually sexualized doctor Who. Prior incarnations of the Doctor were aliens and they were private about Timelord reproduction matters. Sex had nothing to do with the Doctor. RTD turned Doctor Who into a gay/trans billboard and made it all about sexuality. That's a creepy thing to do to a kids show and it was very deliberate.

I’ve met trans people, and they knew they were trans as kids or teens in spite of opposition from their families. Pretty similar to gay kids. Which makes sense because straight and cisgender people know their gender and sexuality at an early age too. They are not getting forced. People are saying that to vilify trans people just like they vilified gay people when they where starting to get more rights. David Tennant is not terminally online like us, it’s clear he’s supporting his kid and responding to the backlash against trans people as a supportive parent would.

I'm wholeheartedly against trans children being a thing, but I'm pretty sure David's point is "leave people alone, let people get on with their lives" and I agree with this much. I think it's totally INSANE to think you can "rewire" your body with chemicals and surgery to attempt to become the other sex, it seems delusional to me that this is something people actually believe, and do, but man if another adult wants to do stuff like that to themselves, ehh... It seems irrational to me but wtf am I gonna try and stop them? No obviously not, they're their own person. The issue becomes, as you alluded to, when children are brought into the debate, or worse, when children are treated as lab rats and are put through surgery and hormone treatments etc. What I have a problem with is people who take the debate further than facts, but who instead try to do EXACTLY what Tennant is talking about, and "weaponise" the debate, which seems to me to be what you're doing. With a title like that, taking a quote out of context, and literally changing the meaning (he literally, simply, did not tell Dr who fans to F off if they don't like trans kids- didn't happen, it's not what he said), and your attitude seems more emotional than reasonable. And remember, I'm saying this as someone who is entirely against the trans agenda being thrust unto children, but the reality is trans people exist whether we like it or not, and they exist whether they're delluded or not. They aren't about to vanish (not until all the hormones and surgeries backfire in a few years at least), so rather than just spreading vitriol and hate towards anyone who dares say _anything_ which isn't against the trans movement, how about actually being rational and reasonable, and reporting on the matter in an honest way. You lose credibility in the eyes of the people who are skeptical of you when you are clearly injecting your own agenda into your reporting. And if you believe "why do I care about what my skeptics think of me?" then it's pretty clear you aren't actually fighting for the right cause. The people who are skeptical of you/your ideology are the people who matter the MOST, because THEY are the people you should be aiming to convince. What's the point in uploading mindless hate towards the people you don't like if all the outcome is people agreeing with you in the comments? The goal should be to present an argument based on reason, and spark a discussion through the good points you can hopefully make, and best case scenario, you actually convince some people who disagreed initially or who were on the fence. Just my 2 cents... Or, 2 bucks maybe, pretty long comment lol. Anyway this isn't hate towards you, I do however, hate to see such angry and emotional reporting when it comes to such a vital and important topic. This is potentially the future of hundreds, thousands of children on the line. Set your emotions aside, and do the job well, or risk falling into the abyss of "just another transphobe right wing commentator spewing anti-LGBT vitriol" like so many other political commentary channels capitalising on the virality of the radical left.

The basics of gender affirming care have been around for 30 years. It hasn't backfired since then so it's unlikely to change in the future. Especially as diagnostics and methodology are improving. Also, what do you think hormones are? They are one of the main factors controlling the chemistry of your body. They ARE the wires. There is very little a hormone replacement therapy doesn't change.

David was taking a "live and let live" stance, which you can see in the video of that conversation, and everyone blew it out of proportion. My original comment on this video goes into further detail. I'm not a fan of Woke Who, either - I have a whole video about that - but this David Tennant thing got blown way out of proportion. David is relatively uninformed about all of the issues with this particular topic, and it shows. But he's not calling out the fans, and he's not acting out of malice at all. People are just going ape-shit because everyone usually thinks you have to be fully on one side or fully on the other.

I think social media has helped destroy the mystery and illusion surrounding celebrities and actors because they can go on social media and say whatever stupid thing that comes to mind.

I feel like the entire fandom is split in half.

This guy (David Tennant) saved me through *Doctor Who* as a teen, I was a victim of quite severe bullying back in the day. His doctor & values/acting was so captivating & admiring that it helped me to see light in the dark, it's probably stupid to even say such stuff but seeing your idol/hero saying *Fuck Off* for having the view of not wanting kid's turned at an age where they don't realise yet the reprocussions. It's not only depressing but just heartbreaking, I knew he was a peacekeeper but this is more flamboyant than a bendy ruler. I've seen too many cases especially in America where they've had books talk about (Safe Sexting) & (Trans Dating) in Primary/secondary schools & lesson's too that I can't even begin to describe how dangerous this attention grabbing is. He doesn't grasp how many kid's/teens commit suicide over this (because they transitioned without full thought or too early) it's a serious matter. "SO WHY DON'T YOU FUCK OFF DAVID"!

On the bright side I think the more they push this the worse their viewing numbers will be, and it won't last to a third season.

Seen too many documentaries on this. Woke parents obsessed with ideology. If they see some behavior, they immediately go to the child and tell them it's ok, fuss over them, then "support" them by saying it's ok to be another sex when they are far too young to understand. I remember my brother watching me paint my nails when he was 7 and begged Mom to paint his nails. She painted his nails with clear polish and treated him the same as always. He's grown up now with a wife and 4 children. A woke parent would have fussed over him, painted his nails, given him nail polish and dresses and makeup, messing up his entire outlook on life- when the only real reason was that my brother didn't think it was fair that I had a toy that he didn't have.

We should all just watch anime for 2 years. Nothing else but anime and see where these US companies land.

Having an opinion about trans people and being a Doctor Who enthusiast are two totally different arenas. This show brilliantly entertained families for years and years with adventurres and aliens without turning it into a commercial for gender diaphoria. We now are getting sprayed with gender and sexual content. What you do in your own life, great, do it, but don't shove it down everyone else's throats.

Personally, if a boy wants to wear a dress, be it as a joke or because they hadn't known that it's something only girls typically wear, then I don't see a problem with it; the issue lies in if an adult _asks_ the boy to do it, as there's no logical or reasonable explanation for doing so. I quite like the design of women's boots and think they look pretty cool, but I wouldn't wear them because I know they don't suit me; a child, on the other hand, might try on their mum's heels because they want to look taller, and I think that that's perfectly fine. I don't care what other people wear, as long as it's not indecent and was _their_ decision to put it on. Also, there's nothing wrong with someone deciding to go by a different name or use other pronouns, but it _is_ wrong to try and force it onto others. All people need to do is calmly and politely correct others if they say the wrong thing, instead of getting angry and lashing out. No one has a problem with usernames on the internet, and very few people get angry if their name is ever misread, so why can't the same attitudes apply to trans and non-binary people?

...you do realize "time lord" was the name of species and has always applied to female individuals as well? (And yes, I am using the term female instead of "woman" because I highly doubt each member of a society of nearly immortal shapeshifters identifies with human gender classifications.) Also, why are you calling Rose a "son"? That's just... odd. Even if you absolutely had to enforce the gender binary, this strikes me as an odd choice.

I agree that there's no such thing as a trans kid, for sure, but if you actually listen to the video that captures this conversation of his (visible on youtube), he doesn't actually call out the fans and tell them all to fuck off. The "fuck off and let people be" line was taken from mid-conversation amidst a longwinded rant, wherein he was essentially saying everyone should just live and let live. It was also said somewhat jokingly. David has always been left-leaning on these types of topics, and I'm certainly not arguing against that, but I do believe that a lot of people on 'my side' of the fence are blowing this out of proportion. His general stance was "everyone leave each other alone." The main issue I took with his conversation was him stating that rightwingers are the main people opposed to the alphabet community, which is a tell-tale sign that he's absorbing leftist media way too much, as most people in his lifestyle usually do. Whether it's Fox News or all the leftist medias - they're all divisive, and all funded by the same people. Taking a media-fueled stance is a good way to manufacture a fairly one-sided and uninformed opinion. But, as someone who's actually followed him for a long time, I have to say; he had no malice or apprehension in his stance at all. He's not attacking the fans. He's just a 'live and let live' person who is pretty uninformed about all the angles of this particular issue.

One of David and Georgia Tennant's kids is 'trans,' which is what I believe is driving David's delusion. David and his wife should've taken their child to a pediatric psychiatrist instead of pandering to the child. I'm someone who has seen every episode of Doctor Who since The Unearthly Child, way back in November 1963.

It's so sad. Not long ago this guy would have been arrested for this type of comment. How can you have a hate speech law that does nothing when someone insights violence. Then ending of own life stats skyrocket for those who transition as opposed to those who don't. Please, please, please put him in a room, on camera, in front of those who regret transitioning and let's hear him tell them to f off. What is wrong with these people. How can the not consider the cost of cutting things off that should not be cut off? How is he unaware that many who transition do show because of the Munchhausen by proxy of the parents. It's so sad that they live so much vicariously through their characters that they only have to speak and the imagine they carry the wisdom of their character. These individuals are as thick as the day is long. It horrifies me at the thought of the life long suffering they are going to have to go through, and to impress such young minds into doing serious negative life altering changes beggars belief.....

He’s not talking about detransitioners but people like politicians and media who target trans people as a group for political gain and for sensationalism. Not every trans person is a detransitioner, the majority of trans people do not regret transitioning.

I never wanted to see him in the first place. I gave him a chance as the Doctor and, admittedly, he was pretty good in his first series, but he started to get annoying by the end. By his third series he and the show were insufferably bad and filled with garbage politics.

Very wise. Yeh I agree with you about Missy, they started showing their true colours then. Don’t get me wrong, I thought that Michelle Gomez did a great job as an evil female Timelord, but they should have made her the Rani. Not the Master, who like the Doctor has been established as a white male for the past 55 odd years.

@@matthewcorcoran2891 Missy was great, so the only complaint I have about her presence is that the writers didn't take advantage of the fact that the Master used different methods to prolong his life after running out of regenerations in the Classic Series. It's not unreasonable for one of those experiments to turn him into a woman but they should have confirmed that it's not a natural regeneration.

The sheer degree of cognitive myopia and hubris is staggering at this point. I am so disappointed. Every time I think they can't stoop lower, they surprise me...

God bless David! He's a good, decent person, as opposed to people who post vicious hate and bigotry.

I'm also horribly disappointed and upset by David's comments. What on earth is wrong with all these modern actors, anyway?! It's a shame because he's one of my three fave doctors. Fortunately for myself, I learned a huge lesson back in 1998-1999 when Prince decided to attack and pick fights with his own fans online for absolutely no reason whatsoever: separate the entertainment from the man. To give an idea, I remember a Prince fan page back during that period where, on its main page under the heading "Why I like Prince", the very first words said, "Actually, I don't like Prince very much right now. Don't get me wrong, I still think he's very talented, I just think he leaves a lot to be desired as a person." Same thing here. David Tennant is being a disgusting fool, but I still have my already-purchased episodes of his from way back I can still enjoy. I just won't be watching/purchasing any news ones, that's all (shrug).

It's time to give them what they want and move on from these franchises and never go back but too many on the right are sheep too and will run back

Sad that david has gone down this path, as ive seen videos of what a kind person he was before.
