As a West Ham fan this is the last person you want to be asking this question to. Mr Moyes played Brazils NO10 out on the left just because he had to play Tomas Souchek even though he was terrible for 18 months. But he would refuse to drop him due to being big and deadly at set pieces.

Foden is a system player

Foden is never going to be that effective playing on the left without an attacking left-footed full back supporting him going forward, similar to the way Saka had Walker supporting him. It's quite crucial that Shaw gets back in the team as quickly as possible.

I think they should’ve touched on how good Germany were in their opening match....they hit the ground running as did Spain,Portugal any others looked impressive....England need to improve there’s no doubt about it.

Moyes there is nothing to solve with Foden. The team after all that good possession football in the first 35 minutes just needs to do Direct attacking football and crosses like they did for their only goal, then they will score more than 1 goal in the first 35 minutes and give themselves an easier game. By then Foden may have scored or given an assist.

The interviewer seems too nervous to ask the penetrating question. "Foden might be a great player but he's never done it for England. Why is that and should we use a proper left winger instead?" Also I think Moyes has avoided analysing how England can improve. It's fine saying everyone's a good player but Foden and Trent are problem positions. How can it be improved?

Moyes needs to get back into management asap if his punditry contributions are to be as non-existent as this:- Q1. Performance could've been better but England did what they had to do. Q2. I see the same problems and mistakes beening maded by Southgate. As past england manger's,when we had the laughing geration( golden geration). Mangers trying play players in wrong postions.
