The players should have the bravery to come out and respectfully admit that our performances haven't been good enough. When they come out and say the opposite, whether they are forced to by the FA or not, it reflects badly on their personal brand and the team - it's not "media training" it's simply lying to the people who pay your wages. Anyone can watch the match, view the stats, watch other national teams who we should be competing with and see that if we play like we have done the last 3 games against the better teams it will lead to humiliation.

ITV didn't mention Gordon once. He played better in 6 mins than 95% of the team.

Ireland fan here. I have to say that Southgate is the talk of the town here. It is hard to believe that he is the England manager. If we only had a whiff of the talent in that England squad, we would be in that tournament and doing ok. I think these players should ponder all the sacrifices the travelling fans make and put themselves in their shoes. £2k is a lot of money, but a sum most England players view as back pocket change. That’s part of the problem.

Lack of foresight and poor risk management. Unjustified belief in Luke Shaw’s ability and his current medical status. It is one of the worst strategic selection errors in tournament football history.

Maybe cause he gave a plausible interview and said the right things to the selection committee. Maybe he was cheap compared to Capello etc?

He completely is oblivious to reality! People see the same mistakes happening now, that happened in previous tournaments that cost us! He just doesn't see it. And when he get undone he will still not get why.

Southgate is woke and a yes man.

Us palace fans were told we were lucky to be watching what we were then a new manager came in and we saw what a positive manager could do. England under a different manager would be playing so much better. Having said that we have stumbled into the knockout stage and despite GS we can still win it.
