She was obviously very affected by the simple question " are you single?". I get he said it in a mean way, but to start crying over that, she is very insecure because she doesn't have a relashionship. It's a situation where, if I can't get a boyfriend, you can't get married because that would make me feel even worse that I can't have that too.

People aren't really like David in Europe unless they are 80 years old, so he had to seek a virginal bride in the US. Also this is the second case of weird grooming-like behavior in this show. The first was that Mormon guy who "met" his future wife when she was like 12 when he was on mission in Brazil. Then he comes back and just "Happens to run into her" and they are marrying when she is of age.

Evelyn is not her friend. She humiliated her on purpose almost to teach her a lesson for asking her to be cautious.

Granted I will be polite and respectful when meeting someone new, but it does take time to know someone and I don’t think she’s in the wrong for expressing those feelings. That’s how my family was with my fiancé at first. They were polite and respectful to him but it took them a minute to like his personality and the person he is as a whole due to my past relationships being shitty and my family despising them and thankfully making me realize I was making a bad decision. I think it depends on the circumstances. I didn't size up my best friends fiance even though I didn't meet him til the rehearsal dinner. The way she talked about their relationship was level headed and I could sense he was a good guy. They've been married 18 yrs. I did go straight up Mikayla on another friends guy though. He just gave me bad vibes. He ended up trying to sleep with her co worker while my friend was giving birth to their son, he was abusive, made her work while he sat on his ass playing video games and cheating, made her give him all the money she earned but didn't use it for their kids or bills. When she was pregnant he worked for a couple months and would call her throughout the day to make sure she was cleaning and cooking and she was not entitled to any of his money. He ended up leaving her for another woman. If you get a bad feeling a good friend will speak up. If you don't get a bad feeling a good friend will be supportive.

I honestly don't think her friend was being a bitch. Can you expect to like something or someone without knowing them? She did make an effort to show up to the party to get to know David. But Evelyne lives in her own fantasy world and expect the world to do whatever she says. So she pretty sure wanted to set her friend up and embarrassed her. Mik ( her best friend) did an effort to go to the party to get to know David. But Eve told David ahead that she's still not completely sure about him coming NOT FOR THE GREEN CARD. But for other valid reasons. And those reasons are what makes a friend. So honestly, Mik's position wasn't that she didn't support their relationship. And you could clearly see she wished them the best of happiness. So it's not like she was hoping for the worst for them. She just wanted to be sure her friend is making the right decision. And that's what friend are suppose to do. You can't always expect them to support you in everything, that's being enabling . She came into the party with a smile, David wasn't he was frowning. Like honestly, she isn't even the antagonist in the story. The way the couples blasted her at the welcome party , says more about them then Mik to me. After this episode I didn't like them much. Not only they had to blast Mik out, everyone got uncomfortable, and you can see their true colours. Honestly, if I was Mikayla I would tell Eve to lose my number. She lost a friend. Ciao Bella. By the way, don't take this as an attack, I just really hated how they treated her.

Especially when in truth it's normal to be single when you're pretty much still in high school. Mikaylah has her head on straight. She's not marrying some dude she barely knows who doesn't even want to live in her hometown and thinks moving to Virginia and breaking up the family's band would be no big deal. These are talks they should have had before he moved to the US tbh, bc once he arrived and that 90 day clock started running, it became difficult to make "big picture" decisions esp with cameras all over them.

I feel bad for Mikayla, she's the only logical one. Evelyn is 18, about to get married to a 27 year old she just met face-to-face. Mikayla never said she disliked him, just that she doesn't know him yet, and they should think more before rushing into marriage.
