I am Russian and my friend's family are Tatar, they are living in CA for 16 years already, still their daughter acts the same way with her fiancee. They have different kind of sort meaning of love - why I have to love someone before he married me, I can be patient and nice to him, but I will love him when he will be my husband.

Paola was so beautiful in her dress. I'm almost jealous of how she looks in that white dress. And you could tell that she and her husband are in love. I mean "there's other jobs but there's only one Pao". That made me cry. Kirlyan is really cute. She and her husband were adorable together even if he does look like a bit of a schlub in his swim trunks. But so long as they love each other and they're happy that's all that matters. Aziza still looks 15 and while people are saying they're still together I'm 99% convinced it's purely a green card wedding in her eyes. She doesn't love her husband. Her whole body language shows she's not into him.

Oh please, I moved to a foreign country at 21 without knowing a single word of it (married within 1 month of arriving with 200 guests). I had NO friends, couldn't go anywhere myself and did not get along with his parents who we lived together for 3 years before we moved out. It was horrible and I cried almost every night, but when you love someone you make it happen. Married for 5 years, now in our own wonderful flat far, FAR away from his parents with twin boys and another baby on the way. If I was a foreigner who wanted a green card for the US I think it would have been a lot easier to put up with everything!

My mom had a similar experience... married my dad, moved to US, didn't speak a word of English, had to live with in-laws (difference was that she understood all the snide comment said before her back. There's still some tension between my mom and aunties), when they moved away, my mom felt much better.

I love how the first season was pretty pure, even if it was awkward and creepy at times, these peeps look like they had a pretty good time. A big contrast to the later seasons, where its just chaotic fights.

Pao is a wonderful human being and i truly adore their relationship!
