There's quite a difference. Conan actually took a two minute story and turned it into 9 (actually I think total run time was around 7 minutes) and Dave letterman's story was roughly 3 to 4 min. Both are hilarious, but they tell two different perspectives in a 9 min clip about the same thing.

Its interesting that when Conan and Dave Letterman share their part of the horse story they both took 9 minutes.

Well, he probably thinks Conan should still be the Tonight Show host (not that that's Fallon's fault, ofc), seeing as how he didn't like the way the Leno -> Conan -> Leno -> Fallon thing happened to Conan anymore than he liked how the Carson -> Leno thing happened to him back in the early 90s.

Pretty well thought out joke, and Conan most likely knew it was. But maybe Conan has the bigger heart, since the horse is now getting massaged all the time, instead of being wheeled around as a joke.

Well I mean it seemed like Conan didn't know it was a joke at all; based on what he was saying to Stephen, it sounded like he thought of David Letterman as a role model. So I'm not entirely sure, but maybe he was more sentimental than Letterman anticipated.

Nah I don't think he knew. Letterman is his idol so Conan would keep whatever gift Dave would sent him. Jimmy Kimmel is pretending that he wouldn't, but I'm sure he would keep the horse too. He's an even bigger Letterman fan.

I remember as a kid being able to watch David Letterman when I was sick with the chicken pox. The first Letterman episode I saw, he was in a suit of alka seltzer and he was dunked in a tank of water. I was 10 years old.
