Goggins has no idea how many people he has inspired to be better. I will run 1000 miles this year ONLY because I have tuned into his philosophy. I'll be 61 in two weeks and haven't run since I was in HS. After reading Cant Hurt Me in late 2018 I started running. 6-8 miles is routine now, but starting out was rough. Now I'm 20 lbs lighter and in the best shape of my life thanks to David Goggins.

Hey! Nice, I just started training for a 5k, mid 40's. Same, used to be a sub 5 minute mile, fastest in the 4:25 to 4:30 ish range. Now? I'd be lucky to clock a 10 minute mile (probably 12 maybe 15 lol) I'm doing my best but damn it's hard, that first mile sucks. I've started slow, get the lungs used to it and that helps alot, pick up the pace after I feel like I'm used to it. Still it's hard. I also started listening to his book "Can't hurt me" on audible. Yea, this guy is something else!

i've worked out but not pushed myself in years and i'm 43 now. i hadn't run since i was in my 20s and did a bunch of dmage to my achilles and calves so it hurt. i recently started again and am loving it. i've just been doing 3 miles 3x a week to start and my legs are sore as hell from it but i'm really hoping i can build up to 6 - 8 miles like you. that's incredible, good for you :) i wanna be like you.

David is my morning inspiration and has changed my attitude towards working out, his attitude is "zero the scale" I call it, whatever you put into working out was in the past, start from zero credit to yourself and now do this work out , and instead of boasting how much you "have done so far", keep saying "what I do now is the what it counts". Chris you have a beautiful tone of voice to listen to, like your contribution to the interview.

he is the kind of man with motivational talk that actually helps, not that others dont make sense. but, he is good at correlating his way of thinking and doing things which make him who he is now, with his past and so on, into something people can understand easily. like, the build beliefs and proof positive part are so true and i believe people out there have done it without realising it. once, we all know these and put them into work, unstoppable. great content!
To me, Goggins is an absolute stellar role model in terms of work ethic and determination. However, I never get the joyful/happy vibes from him - it is always more on the verge of someone who is always quite serious and somewhat tense. Whichever video I see him in, whether it be his own motivational speech or an interview, he always exudes these rough feelings. Another role model for me, to contrast by, is Kipchoge. When I watch his videos, you can just feel the massive amount of happiness and joy that shines from his personality. I feel that they are both absolute beasts, but come off almost as polar opposites in terms of their public outlook, so to say.

I say this with tears in my eyes.... I didn't believe in self affirmations. Looking in the mirror.. yelling at yourself. I thought it was stupid because you are who you are, so... I tried it. It worked. It's not the main thing to do for self motivation, but for that moment, it gives me the energy to keep pushing. I have no one to do that for me. So I do it for myself. Try it. The key is... you have to believe in it. Believe in yourself, and your own words will have great power.

its currently almost 5:30 in the morning. I have school in an hour and i have been up since 4 training myself until failure and studying on ways to cope and learn about myself. I have as well taken this time to try and learn to run my own business and side hustle from the ground up.
This is going on repeat . Build your confidence. Outwork you self-doubt. Be the master of your dreams. Let’s do this!! 💪 💥 ⚡️

how do you not get motivated by just listening to this man? i need to go lift. see yall!
I love that bit he mentioned about dreaming. A lot of people are exactly that. Hell I was that at some point but I broke out of it. I put that laundry list of things and starting crossing them out. Once that happened, it's unlocked. Everything is unlocked. F- a quote, just do and do and keep doing.
I said it before, and might say it until I die, this is without question, the BADDEST MAN ON THE PLANET, period. God bless and protect this living legend.

12 miles a day minimum, dude is just running the anxiety and doubt out of his body. I guarantee anyone who runs that much a day for an extended period of time will have very little internal doubts about who they are.

Lots of truth in what was said in this interview.
This man understands that life is hard and nobody owes you anything. You gotta work for all you want, and anything more than its grace.
Love this guy

The thing is I love to run. But yes waking up early and running is difficult. Running in the afternoon is no sweat. Cheers to the strong ones. Stay strong 💪🏼.
A conscious mind can make affirmations incredibly believable and can also delude you into a lack of confidence despite multiple wins under the belt. Don't knock one method down and say another is better. Both work.
Ever since I discovered David Goggins 2 weeks ago, I sleep 30 minutes a day, I do 7 sauna sessions in the morning, work out for 8 hours, run a marathon in the afternoon and then one in the evening before bed, I run 4 businesses, raise 6 children, read 2 books a day, and use the rest of my time to learn how to code. And honestly, if I did any less than that with the time God gave me on this earth, I would feel like a lazy failure and I'd be ashamed of myself. Keep grinding people 💪

This is awesome. I would love to do more and already swim most mornings after dropping the kids at school even during winter. However my day starts with getting kids ready at 6am and I finish work and sorting kids homework and dinner, bedtime routine and clean up around 9pm. Unless I'm cutting into my 7 hours of sleep I can't see where I can fit all this wonderful stretching and running. I would love to and am motivated to do so. Maybe one day. Ha ha Does David have a family and full time job? How would he fit it in
There’s only one David Goggins. What an inspiration. Armour yourself! 👍
Everyone has different beliefs, in as much as I acknowledge David's routine, for me I just run 3-4km, do 50 push ups and abs at an interval of 3 days. That keeps my body at a high performance state, doing my activities ie mastering other skills that I am working on. I believe the human body was not created to run but I also believe keeping fit while maintaining good rest in between keeps me at a great state to get it in other fields. Just maintaining my vitality. Others might say it's an excuse but this works pretty well for me!

@@essji9302 i have tried doing extra sometimes back, but i find out lagging in other part of skills that i am working on ie could feel lethargic a couple of times and lack of great concentration. To me exercise is an engine to create energy to accomplish my daily tasks but not to leave me wanting to rest more. i found my edge and this makes me great in performance of my daily tasks while maintaining fitness. Note that sometimes i hit the runners high and would do more kilometers, or even more pressups.

Humans can literally run further than any animal by far, tribes in africa hunt animals by just chasing them till they die... we absolutely were made to run. I lift and then run at least 3 miles everyday. Rest and recovery is bs if you workout everyday your body recovers faster and you have more energy. Your body can handle so much more than what your mind tells you you are capable of.
This man is a legend. I want to run just listening to him.

There are people out there. That believe in themselves whole heartedly and go for it and if they fail. Oh well. They get up and try again. They don’t need the mirror or their past accomplishments to fire them up. There is an internal source of confidence that one can tap into.
While I find his achievements impressive and inspiring, after reading his books and his constant reflection of his childhood life with his father…I often wonder why no one ever asks David about his kids. I can do many impressive things like he does, occasionally, he does them “everyday”. I wonder how he would attain these things with a wife, child, and committed home life to be better than his. I also understand he doesn’t want me to be goggins, he wants me to be a better version of me, so do I…and I’m committed to that, next time someone sees Dave ask him how the kids are.

Thank you for saying this. I thought I was the only one who was curious. Being abused at such a young age can turn children into future abusers. I’ve always wondered why he hasn’t brought that up. He’s very quiet about some parts of his life: being a father or a husband.
I recognise his routine is very beneficial for health and mental well-being but many viewers will work full time. Would be helpful to find someone who integrates a similar routine with a more usual lifestyle
The lighting on this show... Marvelous.
I in know way can perform at David Goggins level, but this is great and motivation for my own training.
I was fat and a loser And decided to change I saw that I am weak Like a boy on the seat I grinded and lifted Until I started to grow I released all my weakness And I realized, I am alone So I shut myself in And I grinded much more Until I puked, and bleed And I ran even more But I stopped and realized That I have to let go So I am sitting here happy Knowing the fight is all gone And the power of love Is the new way to go
Your daily reminder that David is a beast and in terms of pushing yourself, he is the man to look at; however, he also has a baby girl who he abandoned and wants nothing to do with. Man of motivation but not principle, it would seem.
