I highly recommend everyone to watch the full interview. That 2+ hour long interview is a masterpiece!! This interview is now at the very top of my favorite David Goggins interviews and I’ve been a fan of his since 2018. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 He gets raw AF!!!! You can see the intensity and depth. Listening to that made me ashamed of the lack of things I’m doing. Im not doing my best and there’s no hiding it. Period. Thank you Mr. Goggins and Dr. H.

Muhammad Ali, said it best ! "It's the repetition of confirmations that lead to belief, and once that belief becomes a deep conviction things begin to happen" training the brain is hard, but not impossible dyslexia is what Ali and myself and so many people have, it makes life hard ! but it also makes you look at life differently, and that's a blessing, we work so hard to learn and in doing so, we see so much more! what others would take for granted, we don't ! because we worked so hard to get it. What l learnt from Mr Goggins, the harder you work for something, the more you appreciate it when you get it !!!

I have learned that David Goggins is a great example to people who think they have a handicap preventing them achieving. He is also a great example of how mental & physical improvement work together as one. Mind & body need to be one, not seperate entities. I have learned from Goggins & I implement his example in my everyday life. He shows how physical fitness advances mental fitness & that is why I strive to maintain my overall fitness at 81 years of age.

People with ADHD often have learning difficulties due to in something called working memory issues, and other things and auditory processing disorder. Which is why he has to write everything down to retain it. I know because I also have ADHD. I was only recently diagnosed at 30, now 31. But I was diagnosed with autism at six formally known as Asperger syndrome now called high functioning autism. I thought the auditory processing disorder that I was formally diagnosed with that point when I was younger it was related to the autism but now I know it’s more related to the ADHD. And those two are really hard to differentiate especially before 2013 before the DSM five people thought that somebody could not have those two developmental disorders at the same time but they have learned since then that the opposite is true that’s why I was diagnosed with ADHD much later in life. But it explains a lot of stuff in my life and I’m happy I was able to get that diagnosis. When I was first falling David Goggins, when he was talking about how he was diagnosed at the time when it was called ADD I didn’t pay a whole lot of attention to it but now that I’ve been diagnosed, I pay more attention and it’s really cool I’m listening to him on things that I relate so heavily with. I’ve been listening to him for a while but it’s funny when you hear condition and you’re like OK but when you get diagnosed that yourself, you kinda tune into that a little bit more more because you wanna hear about their own experiences when you’re like oh I can relate to this. Little titbit from my perspective that I thought was neat.

Also, people with ADHD are constantly struggling battling against chaos when ironically, we do better in a routine and that’s where our alarms are our friend. Definitely, I relate to the writing things down. That is the only way I can remember anything. Somebody tells me something I will forget it like even seconds later later I cannot retain it auditory. And somebody can show me how to do something but in order for me to actually learn it understand they need to show me it and then walk me through it and allow me to perform the task and I write it down. And if it’s a physical task, for example, I would need to perform it regularly, and probably much more than a Neurotypical person would for me too understand and retain it. The reason why I liked mass so much it’s just equations write them down and learn what they mean and solve them. I never was a fan of essays or anything abstract. People on the spectrum aren’t usually good with abstract concepts. At least I’m not. So needless to say, English class was not my favourite subject although I had a good teacher. I am so glad that I do not have to write essays anymore. Those one of the things I dreaded the most my brain would go blank, and I would just stare at the computer screen for hours. And also what he’s talking about is something called rote memory
