Gábor Bűdi well . there is no argument how great he is, and I agree with your ranking system. However I could add no. 8 to Paco De Lucia. His style is impossible to catch . it took me 3 months to master the solo of comfortably numb , and six months to master the quarter of Paco De Lucia's Antonia, which is one of his easiest .

My god how have I gotten so old? To look into the eyes of the man that inspired me when I was young, the music of my whole life, and to hear his voice and still feel evey second of my youth, as I sit here with my guitar in hand, my grey hair, sagged eyes, and wish to God I was still a youth. If any civilization was to ever find this rock eons from now, this is what they should know of us....that a man, could single-handedly bring such joy, sadness, inspiration and peace through his art, through his touch, through a voice and inspire. He is, and always will be, my inspiration. Thank you David, thank you Pink Floyd. I am a guitar player, for over 40 years, all because of you.....

I was adopted at birth, and for the very first time in my life, I actually feel a little bit of pride for being named David, and all because of Mr Gilmour, a true genius of his craft. And it's not just his music either. How many others musicians have donated many of their prized guitars for a worthy cause, the very same guitars used to make his brilliance shine for and be known by the masses? My humble "thank you, Sir" seems so insignificant for what I (and humanity) have received from Mr Gilmour.

Two quick thoughts... One, I wonder if Mr. Gilmour has any idea of how sincerely loved and deeply revered he is by millions upon millions of us around this planet. Two, in viewing the full concert, special honor and credit must go out to everyone involved on the production side of this event, especially the lighting and sound people, from the Lighting Director and designers down to the riggers and stagehands. The understandable restrictions they must have had to work under in one of the world's most historic venues must have been beyond belief. BRAVO, a STUNNING achievement...

how is the solo underrated if the song is best known for the solo? I always see comments saying things Pink Floyd did (vocals, solos, etc..) are underrated. Pink Floyd is a damn legend, they sold millions and millions of records and people are praising them as gods on every occasion. They are known around the world and will be known in 100 years. I love seeing other people complimenting them, I love them aswell. But this is just fishing for likes

The feeling and vibe coming from David is truly inspiring. I saw them live in 1973, in Vancouver, for the Dark Side of the Moon tour. It was also very amazing. I have been playing guitar and writing music for 45 years and it is music like this that keeps me wanting to continue to play. Thanks so much, David Gilmour.

I love that he *played this. It's my favourite Pink Floyd song. I know, I know, Comfortably Numb, Have a Cigar, Shine on you Crazy Diamond, Another Brick in the Wall yeah, I hear you, but I remember where I was when I first heard this song on the radio, and it was electric for me. It gave me frisson like I rarely get. It's the moment when I said to myself, "Hey, these Pink Floyd guys might not only be for old people." It's a masterclass in delayed gratification. The first 4:30 or so of the song is all building to the most powerful emotional finish to a song you'll ever hear. I hope you all had the same joy I did when I first discovered Pink Floyd. I hope you remember it as clearly as me, and I hope it gives you frisson whenever you think about it. What a time to be alive.

I had already purchased The Division Bell CD in 1995 when I was sent on a business trip to Denver, CO. The car I rented had a cassette tape player, so I bought a cassette tape of The Division Bell and played it over and over for the whole week on that trip. After the 4 day class, I had three days to explore the Rockies and this music made it even more fascinating, enjoyable and memorable. I drove from Denver to Leadville (10,000 ft) and then over Independence Pass (12,000 ft) to Aspen (8,000 ft) and then back to Denver via the Royal Gorge Bridge, Pueblo and Colorado Springs. Pikes Peak was set against the dimming light as I drove past it on I-25.

Gotta love how David switches back and forth between his classical and his steel guitar, now that's some pure unadulterated virtuoso @ work ! Love that little improv at the end as well. For someone who grew up as a Floyd fan, this is as close to perfection as it will ever get. The combination of this incredible setting and Gilmour's timeless, atmospheric, dreamlike musical wizardry makes for a unique viewing experience. May you live many more years to mesmerize us with your sheer unadulterated talent Sir Gilmour ! Long live Pink Floyd !

I heard the original album cut for the first time today. I've been another world since then for about 2 hours. Listening over and over. THEN ...ya'll...I found this version. Mr.Gilmour, thank you for giving us this song and this performance. Absolute from another place in my opinion. Genius. A new Mr. Gilmour and PF fan was born today.
