David Gates released his one and only Arista album Take Me Now in 1981 after almost a decade of solo albums on Elektra. Founding member of Bread had difficulty finding solo commercial success but his albums are all Soft Rock masterpieces.
For all the hits, awards & history, it amazes me that there is so little information about Bread. - There's a great Q&A Session with David Gates. But so few interviews seem to be around and no professional documentaries.

Goodbye Girl is one of my favorite songs and movies. Does anyone know what happened to Marsha Mason, who played the part of Paula McFadden in the movie ? ❤
Gates is a more versatile songwriter than the modern public recalls. Long before he wrote "Make it with You" for Bread and the theme for "Goodbye Girl," he wrote "Icicles, Popsicles' for the Murmaids. All of them were successful, and each one was different.

If it’s “annoying” don’t watch. There’s MILLIONS of performances on KZread which are FREE. We put our logo on the footage so it can’t be used without our consent. We do not EVER monetize the clips we post. Any ad revenue is claimed by the artists, Music publisher or record label. We make money when someone properly licenses our footage for a documentary and at which point they pay us for the rights to use the footage and they then pay the artists, music publishers and such.
Putting your watermark across the center of the screen ,is totally rediculous! The video sucks, because of that...what a shame!

Lip-syncing his wonderful song of a recording that can't be bettered.
Jeezus, he was terrible in the 70s and he kept it up for sure.
