One of the worst moments of many abysmally bad times. He'd consistently insult and betray our every ally,and grovel at every dictator's feet. His betrayal of the Kurds was the last straw for Gen. James Mattis. His stepping down from Defence Secretary was the departure of the last sane,competent adult in the Trump cabinet.

That comment did not age well.
Interesting point: much that is truly "conservative" is based on tradition and what we might call a de-facto but not de-jure status quo (too many latin phrases!) and for this reason subject to the erosion of time and social attitudes, the very thing it purports to resist. The Trump presidency was pregnant with ironies, but the act of conception (a paradox called "Neo-liberalism") occurred at least as far back as Reagan.

Isn't he responsible for the problem he's outlining here?
I remember the snake stories. He did not refer to himself as the snake so his followers would need to interpret him to be the snake. 90% of his followers would not understand that the meant Trump...not bright enough.
The story about trump reneging on his promise to getting Baron a dog highlights his casual cruelty, insensitivity and total disregard of others j o matter who they are. I think it pretty much sums up the man.
For years Frum was part of the problem and now he wants to be part of the solution It's not like he doesn't have serious baggage.
The comment about Trump’s misogyny and cruelty being preferred by Fox viewers, which from everything I’ve seen is an accurate assessment, is telling.

Lost me at 30 minutes in, it was riveting until I realized the information, the claims he was making, required evidence. So I took some notes, did my due diligence and I was right! Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. I will not be continuing to watch the rest of this conversation

Same here. It amazes me how people like these can err over and over and over again and yet still walk through their day as if they have some knowledge the rest of us don't.
David Frum talks a LOT about defending Ukraine. So…why isn’t he there???
