David Chang Makes an Easy Noodle Stir Fry
Dave Chang takes over his friend's kitchen and makes this clean-out-the-fridge recipe featuring Momofuku Soy & Scallion noodles. There's no plan, no preparation but this is the essence of weeknight home cooking. Dave's not trying to hit the bulls-eye, just the target.

If David keeps testing the noodles, it’ll only serve a family of 2.

🤣 maybe he is actually eating his portion while he "tests" so its enough for older son and wife - looks delish
My family will now straight up eat loads of vegetables if they are stir fried and tossed with Momofuku noodles. I am so thankful because I love veggies and now we can eat the same entree. People who live with picky eaters will understand the joy I feel!
When I was in grade school I met a girl from Japan who had just moved to the USA. As we became friends our mothers became friends. Her mother showed my mother how to make “Japanese snack” it was ramen(which we had never seen before-this was the 70’s)sausage or hot dogs and cabbage stir fried and mixed with the ramen. It became a family staple and while I was caring for my mother in her nineties it was still a favorite. The kids are grown my mother is gone but I still make it for myself. And the first thing I do is take the ramen out of its packaging.

Thanks! I have some sausage and cabbage and some Momo noodles - I know what I am making for lunch now!
Not even sure HOW I found out of about Momofuku and was intrigued so ordered a variety pack and Chili Crunch. Sitting here enjoying a plain bowl of Soy & Scallion Noodles with of course, a nice spoonful of Chili Crunch. I’m a huge noodle and ramen fan and these are frankly, amazing. I first became aware of David via an episode of Chefs Table on Netflix if I recall. I’m glad to see he is still sharing his food passions with all of us. I’ll definitely be purchasing MORE.
The wicked background music is the 11 out of 10 icing on the noodles ... amazing David !
I bought a variety case. They are so good and healthy. I love them as is or adding little extra things to it like a protein or veggies. Thanks David.❤
Lol so much chaos with David Chang, looks incredible
Love the recipe, video, and music!

I love you Mr. Chang!
Love that green bowl.
I tended bar at Momofuku DC... (Darlin was a ballbuster) but Dave is still an inspiration. No bullshit
About to try it today
Thanks for the realistic demo. That's why I only go to restaurant for food I cannot cook at home. :)
took a long time for me to order your momofuku soy & scallion - this is the bomb, i hope you are making a lot of money out of this - this is so good, on another level of instant noodle and even not instant ,and you are alone on the top! wow
cant wait to try your noodles tonight i used to get kiki noodles from the asian mart but they are hard to find now and have increased in pricing online as well.
Picked up reduced for sale (?!) Momofuku Soy & Scallion noodles at my mid west USA supermarket. Microwave noodles. drain, and add packet goodies at work. Mix in whatever greens I keep in fridge. Tasty. The honey addition is nice tip. Def trying that. Thanks Dave! 😊

That was agave, not honey. Honey can be used as well but does have the ability to take over with it's flavour. Agave is more neutral and mostly adds sweetness.

@@christopher152 will try that...thanks for the correction 🤝
Note to Editor: That "scallion" rattle sound was a little above levels 😂
Nice. Looking good. Rested.
It seems like something I can make at home. I have all those ingredients in my home right now except for the momofuku
the scallion maraca sounds! nice
Yeah your back😊 any chance of anymore Netflix specials? I really enjoyed the one’s that I have seen so far👏🏾

Thought the handle of the pan was a piece of salmon inside of the pan. Guess that’s why I’m supposed to wear glasses
It was fun working on this one :)

Very nice 👍
Are you putting any crunch on the noodles? I burn broccoli in the air fryer, add it to the noodles with chopped up grilled chicken. Green onions and done. Great stuff.
Dave !
i appreciate that R&D
I like them my issue is with the amount of sodium.
Wow
Dude, that is 100 year old Revere pot…I have one too. No matter what new pot set I buy, I hold on to it and here you are making cooking ramen noodles in it. Tears coming down.

Yes, I noticed the pot as well, At 59, I remember washing dishes as a kid this same small pot😊
I kind of feel that David was disappointed with this dish.
totally was expecting this to be made in an Anyday or the Thermomix.
lol...hoovered it!
Are you using revere wear? Did you piss off your prop guy?
Wish your stuff was available in Germany ^_^
Wanted to see what the hubbub was about with these. Purchased a pack at a local target store, tingly chili. I knew I wasn't gonna like it soon as I put the sauce on it, smelled weird, not like food but synthetic. Tried a couple bites, I like the noodles, but that sauce. Got four individual packs left, I suppose the noodles would be good with s & p, butter and some white wine. Flavor packets are going in the garbage...
So we buy the noodles
Music really momo
What did he use to add sweetness?

Fun fact, that green bowl is an East Fork. Alex Matisse is the founder of East Fork. That's not a bowl, it's a Matisse.
A lot of plastic and individual paquets. It could be more eco friendly. But it surely looks good.
@5:59 how tf does Dave not burn his tongue eating that tofu off the wok... You can let a slab of tofu sit for literally minutes and the inside temp is still lava.
If you wanna save some money, go for A-Sha brand noodles. They're almost exactly the same
DAVE
I really enjoy these. The music and sound design could be a lot better than this ironic take on Emeril in the 90s and the Quentin Tarantino elevator bossas. Hit me up, I help you out.
Thanks for the video but was your child operating the camera during the closeup shots? Blurry af and moved all over the place. >_
1:17 someone been watching bon appetit videos.
He didn’t wash the veggies😊
Looks tasty - but you can't make this recipe unless you buy the momofuku noodles. He didn't provide alternatives nor did the video explain what's inside the packets. Would have been nice to know before watching!

just look up the ingredients list. I like the noodles, but a bit overpriced imo. It is made by the same company A-SHA that they are selling at costco so you could just get that. Very similar but almost half the price.
Ayy yes buy my products and then watch my videos! Just gimme money
This guy has sadly become the Emeril of the Asian food world, hawking instant noodles instead of crappy pans and appliances.

Sloppy, chaotic, gluttonous, gross-welcome to the David Chang show.
Even Dave can’t stand the shitty caps on your bottles. It just pours down the side…love your products but the closure is awful.
Tried your ramen shop in NY years ago. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would say a negative 1. Any one with functional taste buds would agree. Hope your food has improved since then.
man, it seems nowadays the only thing Dave does is his shill his own products.
Momofuku just trademarked Noodle Stir Fry. Which means you can still call your product Stir Fried Noodles, but the word noodle can't be be prominent in your packaging.
This wok sucks! 😂🤣😂🤣
Please change the awful background music.
