I love the way he handled the situation after the mess up. Even though he changed the card to the chosen card, he knew the jig was up. Then instead of trying to sell it like most amateurs would, he owned it, laughed, and moved on. Class act.

The only people who genuinely are getting mad at this gifted individual are the numb skulls who think magic is real. Obviously its an illusion so everyone needs to relax and respect the man for his skill

It's impossible to not ever make a mistake... we as humans are beautifully flawed. He's made thousands, and thousands of mistakes behind closed doors... don't forget that. It's just awe inspiring that he's rarely ever failed on live tv. That's a true magician, and master of deception.

@@LpMinecraft13 Don't insult me. At least have some basic manners. I am entitled to an opinion which does not necessarily have to coincide with yours, mate. No decent card magician would think he is one of the greatest at card magic. As a card mechanic he is certainly poor. I can even do a pass better than Blaine and I am pretty average, it is not even my profession and I have zero interest in shining at card magic. I admire him for his stunts, endurance, and sometimes creativity in magic (but not card magic, sorry, I have studied and learned a lot and he is average). I also admire his awareness and understanding of psychiatric conditions. So as you can see, I don't hate him at all! PS: I must also admit that I detest camera tricks, which sometimes he does.

I noticed when he was flipping through he could tell she didn’t catch it. He was thinking of a save while finishing it. Those type of tricks are risky especially doing them while live stream and recorded. One thing I respect is he pretended he didn’t even know what card was going to be the 4th Card and proceeded to finish the trick. Probably to buy time to find the 6 of Hearts. Even after the save he laughed about it and said “it’s a work in progress.” That’s not a work in progress. He nailed every part except for the most important part lol. But he even still diverted any blame away from her and to himself. He owned his mistake like a true professional

When you control the editing of your TV specials, you wouldn’t ever make a mistake either. He’s a lucky semi-pro magician, who can barely handle more than one angle in a card trick…. Only thing perfect about him prior to this trick was how he tricked people into thinking non-magic is magic. Standing on a pole, sitting in a box, laying in some ice etc…. At best those are feats.

Really? I'm no "magician", but it didn't take but 3 seconds to realize he was ruffling through the deck to find the correct card that he then put on top of the deck right before putting the ace on top of the deck then simply flips them while moving his hand side to side 0_0 woaahh magic!

This trick reminds me of a riddle. Two electric trains are preparing for a trip of 50 miles in opposite directions. Train A leaves the station at noon and heads north at a speed of 70 miles/h. 15 minutes later train B heads south at a speed of 65 miles/h. The wind blows 12 miles/h southwest. When the two trains meet, what is their mutual distance and in which direction does the smoke go?

Even when he messed up , he was still a pro. Impressive.

I do this trick. She either didn't see the card he forced or she saw it wrong. She panicked and just picked a card resembling it. They look similar when you move the cards fast. This trick relied on the force working and the truth being told. There's an argument suggesting he messed up here, which is harsh in my opinion, just because he didn't account for his subject being slow, but I would say she messed up the most and you could tell he knew it when she said "the 6 of hearts" and he was really hoping she was going to change her answer. I haven't seen the second time? Did he use someone else, or the same person?

I've been in magic for 15 years David doesn't mess up anymore than I do but he saved it with a classic shake change

Monkey Juju I used to do some card tricks. There’s a way to force someone to pick the card you want them to pick by how you hold the cards and shuffle them or flip through them. That’s the trick / sleight of hand. It was never supposed to be the 6 he picked the right card. You can tell when he asked surprised because then he knew she lied or that he didn’t force the card properly.

He saved it with humble humor, good work

He proved that he is human being not demon like everyone accused

6 of hearts was card number 5. I say that's a fixed dice with the high probability of landing on 5. PROBLEM: she didn't roll the dice, she just put it down and covered it quickly.

That's why I stop doing elaborate card tricks,, it's too much of a build up to have a chance at failure in the end. I stick with the short and visual instant magic style of card tricks... but I have used David's recovery here many times. I even pretend to do mistakes in my routines with constant surprise recoveries so that when I make a genuine mistake they won't know the difference! 😉
