Please stop speaking nonsense. This is the best possible outcome end of story. Now it's the people to ensure fhe coalition holds true.
Dice with the devil - I absolutely agree with you Mike.
!00% in agreement..Please influence the politicians...
When they talk about the MARKET, they are referring to BlackRock, Vanguard, WEF and all unelected people who are obsessed with controlling the masses...what they eat, when they eat and how they'll die. They thrive on poverty and making other people vulnerable and dependent...so as to control and manipulate them. The market doesn't vote...the people do. When they chosen their political destiny, the market must follow and support the will of the people...is that what democracy should be like🤷♂️🤔 Btw, the opposite (what we've experienced in the last 30 years) is also undesirable ...WE NEED TO IMAGINE HOW TO CHANGE THINGS TO DELIVER A BETTER LIFE FOR ALL🤔

@@leratomrali6964 I am a Christian conservative myself, so I share your wants. In that regard, we must kick out the foreign European and American NGOs that want to import harmful agendas into our schools and society. But much of South Africa's attitude towards the markets, as if their opinion are not important, is incorrect. I'm just saying that if markets fail, South Africans will start to feel it as the Rand weakens, and everything becomes more expensive. The fact that we are even talking about markets is because of the threat of communism from ignorant parties like EFF and MK, who seem to turn a blind eye to failed communist examples like Venezuela and (historically) Albania.

Praying and holding thumbs that the politicians have our best interests at heart.
Simple. The majority are not convinced,- hence the outcome. Reason is a failure to sell a vision to them.

Africa, South Africa, is too divided. Historically, economically and culturally, and our leaders have never pursued any scenario where this can work because its obvious society has no intention of making unity a reality.

How is the country being run obviously it is backed by white tycoons, donors, business men, shareholders, stakeholders etc. Mandela came out of prison and didn't know how to run the COUNTRY he appreciated the backing of white people to lead him. Anyway whoever runs this COUNTRY they musnt DESTROY us but lead us forward 🙏💯
I’ve noticed that the sudden rise of political Analyst from these new foundation and lobby groups , they all try to sound smart and add some complexity however fact the South African people expect a GNU proposal by tomorrow we want a president so we can start building a society.
David isn't serious. The entire country has an infrastructure problem but you propose to devolve powers to provinces? How will they sync up their standards to make sure the infrastructure can be compatible and interoperable?
36:45 - You don't need to remerge with your former party to join forces, Mike. That probably only really needs to happen in First Past the Post systems as is now being talked about with the Conservatives and Reform. But in proportional representation, it's actually better to stay separate and then go into coalition with your former party.
You can't hold the market on the template of the masses as your gun. Nywe market Nywe market. Like its serving the interest of the masses.
Honestly we don't need a government

In as much as I agree with you that Central planning has had very bad outcomes in other countries. However, the issues of redress from the injustice of apartheid will need to be answered. Otherwise, what you are doing is building a state on weak foundations.

What informs this comment? Our economy and society has transformed massively. Every large business is overwhelmingly managed and staffed by black South Africans who have gravitated to the middle-class. Our suburbs are now heavily integrated and wealth has been widened. This is a brilliant outcome and should be applauded. If you are watching this with access to an online device and the bandwidth needed to do so, you have to acknowledge that our foundations are not as weak as you claim.
Let's say electricity generation is unbundled from Eskom. What stops the multiple electricity generation companies from being shallowed whole by a single one that 'out competes' them? Also how would you decide to parse out the resources of the state? Who should get them and how do you avoid a monopoly forming again?
That gambling analogy is the bottom line truth of the country
What a vile policy position. Let the poor sign out of labour laws so that they can get a job 😔 let them earn peanuts and not able to go to the ccma to report injustice. Where is the rule of law. How sad.

35:00 That observation is just impossible in politics. Analysts are kind of playing the race cards now 😂. Zuma and Malema hate Cyril
That liberalization sounds like Apartheid and slavery to me.
I fundementally disagree with David's and the DA's proposal for having a job seekers exemption. Its too short sighted. In the short term it may decrease unemployment but in the long term it will lead to workers being abused by the free market system because they have signed away their rights to companies who are responsible to share holders, not the future generations. SA needs to relook at our labour law yes, but not at the long term cost of the youth. Young people need skills and training coupled with an increase supply in electricity, that's how you sustainably decrease unemployment.
Nothing off limit....people voted there was no clear winner
Why do you White Guys (incl BizNews) just talk to each other in an ever-smaller "White Bubble" rather than fostering discourse and ideas-sharing with the majority across the great divide?? I've been listening to the young majority's on, e.g., Newzroom Afrika and SMWX channels, and there are some really inspiring young minds out there in the analysis space, and hopefully to become in the political party & parliamentary spaces.

@@mikesham3204let me play devils advocate. The reason why this gentleman is using this tone is understandable because there are wealthy men who for instance took over 3 000 acres of land and over 100s of livestock, including their labour which at the time was in demand because they were the backbone of the economy and ensuring you have the life you have right now through legacies of exploitation and poor treatment to the natives and this is as recent as no more than 50 years. Imaginr how much that land would be worth today? Imagine all that farming arable land? The value of the livestock in today's value? The masses just want to take everything that was stolen from them because that was the way everything was taken from them. Don't say we have the baddest people leading us, it's the people who control them and continue to fund any initiative, NGOs and political parties in this country out of the "goodness" of their hearts. They are the corruptors who control everyone in government one way or another. They have their own agendas which get them wealthier at our expense.
