How can she say the DA were greedy? They received 28% of the vote a compared to the ANC's 34%, practically equal. DA expected 4 posts with the ANC taking 5, which fair. Now her Mickey Mouse party, which has 1% of the vote has a post, which reflects 10% of the cabinet, so way out of proportion to their actual size.

The DA operates on a gentleman's agreement and the ANC on the Zulu principle, step on everyone and anyone, to get to the top (to eat) because if you are stepped on, you are weak. That is why only ANC leaders are fat cats and will take bread out of the mouth of a starving child, to serve themselves. First world thinking, colliding with third world victimhood mentality.

Doesn't matter, ANC is the biggest loser here. Even written political agreements I don't think is legally enforceable except maybe by means of allowing the aggrieved party to terminate for breach of contract. In this case we the voters are the judges and the next elections are our judgements. It's easy to be "fooled" but who is actually the biggest fool in this case ? A fool is wise in their own eyes...

A dangerous posture from Rise. The ANC has not acted in good faith in forming the GNU. The DA received support and deserved a rightful share. ANC is crooked, and where I agree with Vuyiswa is that the DA was dribbled. Wouldve loved to hear her actually admit that the ANC acted like crooks, by bloating the government among other things. But, she held on to her side, and that side sees the DA as the enemy in politics, and not the ANC.

Obviously it is preferable and expected for people to stick to agreements. But agreeing on proportionality actually doesn't make sense for the ANC with South Africa's political rules. The ANC with its 40% has to partner with which ever parties that will make the least demands on them. With than in mind, proportionality is unlikely. The DA is competing with the EFF and MK to make fewer demands on the ANC. If the DA pushes too much, then we could end up with EFF and/or MK in government. I think the deal we have now is probably what the ANC and DA would have agreed on if they have more time to negotiate in the coalition agreements. It would have been better if the ANC didn't promise something they didn't deliver. But the end result we have is probably the best we were going to get regardless.

I think most people who are pro DA, especially Mr Mike & Mr Alec have a tendency to invite some people with different ideological positions but not really understand why they think that way (my opinion). I would rather Mr Mike approach an interview similar to what he did with Mustafa, understand why people think the way they do. Why is the MKP advocating for an African based constitution & do away with Roman-Dutch law? Would the Romans & the Dutch accept Afrikan Law ruling their lives? Would the West allow Africans (specifically African elites) in their minority run their economies? Would the Afrikaneers continue with British national agenda after being free from british oppression? Or would they self determine? Has the ANC truly decolonised the spirits, minds & bodies of its citizens? Why should a majority assimilate into a minority? Every person of African decent in America, EurAsia & North Afrika assimilated into the socio-economic system that embraces the philosophy of the majority. Why were there no prisons in SA before colonization? Why was the food of better quality before colonization? Why were women more empowered before colonization? Why was there a rule of law before colonization? Why was there a low mortality rate caused by terminal illnesses b4 colonization? Why there was respect for nature? Are Afrikan indigenous systems irrelevant for this "modern society"? If so, what we call modern, isn't it based on Western values & culture? Is it a problem for the African continent to build a modern society based on its own spiritual & cultural values?

All valid questions - but it's all very complicated. Consider that we need to be able to function within a much bigger GLOBAL system in a way that will still benefit the country. This means at least some compromise... (and of course, the global 'system' is itself constantly changing and very diverse - I do agree it has been dominated by the west so far but that is changing now, and rightly so) There is also the problem of the global elites who are pushing for a global world order (WEF, WHO, UN) which is NOT going to benefit us in that it removes our freedoms we hold dear (and should). We also need the support and backing of other countries... How will an Africanised legal system and way of doing things work in the face of all this? Have a look at the eastern countries (other than China). Similar to Africa, they have their own spirituality, traditions and systems and yet they have maintained their identities and still thrived. This is a very interesting and broad topic for discussion. I agree it needs to be brought up with multiple voices giving their opinions. At the end of the day, I would suggest that respect and tolerance is key no matter what. From ALL sides, from EVERY perspective.
