I still can't drive 55, and I was a new driver when that came out. Now, I'm the crazy blond hippy lady, driving a used convertible Mustang, with th Foo's, Petty, Sammy, great rock, blasting down the road. It hits different today. My heart is vulnerable and sad, but Taylors smile makes me feel like it will be okay. And I wish Sammy was my crazy brother.

I can't take my eyes off Taylor. Such a beautiful soul, even when at rest.

My Dad, who has also recently passed away, had years ago purchased me Taylor's Pearl signature snare drum to add to my Tama drum set. It is beautiful... very much so like his musicianship and the passion in which he played with. Taylor, may your legacy and the impact you have left on the entire drum and music community live on forever. My son will be born soon and he will watch your videos and know who the fuck Taylor Hawkins is and I hope he learns to smash even half as hard as you did for the Foo Fighters... Rock on in heaven, Taylor.

I’m sitting here in an utter state of shock hearing Taylor passed away. Absolutely devastated would be an understatement. I hope the Foo Fighters take as much time as they need to mourn this loss, but hope they find a way to continue on at some point in Taylor’s honor. My heart breaks for Dave, the rest of the guys, and most importantly Taylor’s family. The Foos will never be the same without him.

Then he shouldn't have had 10 damn drugs in his body. I feel bad for his family, especially his kids who will grow up without their dad. And I feel bad for his bandmates who have lost a good friend and business partner. Taylor has now prevented them from doing what they love, playing music, touring and earning a living. Right now, he looks like a selfish dipshit in my eyes. Why people are doing opioids in the middle of a fentanyl crisis, is beyond me. What did he think was going to happen? Did he not figure it out when Scott Weiland, Prince and Tom Petty died recently?

Dang, they were so kind to each other and didn't seem to wanna outshine one another. So sad.

I saw this video for the first time yesterday... I was thinking to myself that Taylor was a blessing, breathe of fresh air for Dave. Most interviews with Dave, Taylor is there with him. I feel Taylor became somewhat of a therapeutic step for Dave, to move forward with music after the loss of Kurt.....now he's gone.

I watch that concert from time to time. I really love 2017 Glastonbury.

The first time I watched this video, Taylor was alive. I never thought I'd be rewatching this a few weeks later and he'd be gone. RIP brother, see you on the other side.

Three men who love what they are doing and doing what they were meant to be doing. Very humble. Sammy just keeps going and going.

That Erie moment when Dave is playing acoustic brings back memories of Kurts performance on MTV unplugged and then he was gone. Still in shock over this loss just does not seem real. R.I.P Taylor

This loss is gonna take a while to move on from. Now hearing any foo fighters song is just a remembrance of how badass Taylor was. I’m glad I got to see them when I did, before Covid. Taylor is the backbone of the band and I don’t know how they’ll move on. I send my dearest condolences to all foo fans and especially Taylor’s family. I hope one day Dave will have a tribute tour for Taylor and a bunch of different drummers come and play with them to honor Taylor.

These three are cut from the same cloth. Great musicians, humble, and the type of guys that after one or two sips of beer you'd forget their superstar status. Loving the content Sammy 👌

@@fab.silva1119 - He is more humble than David L Roth. I know I’ve seen you comment & a DLR fan. Sammy has always been one of the hardest working musician through time. He didn’t grow up with money like Dave did. I guess DLR’s cocky attitude always got on my nerves. But we all have our faves 👌

So tragic. Too young, so talented. He must have had inner struggles no one knew of or how bad they affected him. Just watching this, you see how fidgety he is. Can’t imagine the shock the band, the crew and of course his wife, kids and other family try to absorb this gut punch. To happen in another country, they must have felt so helpless.

These two aren't in the same league as AVH. Few are. That's not at all disrespecting them, but Alex Van Halen is on another level from nearly all rock drummers. He got overshadowed by Eddie, but really...the two of them should be considered one musical entity.

Let me just say on the David versus Sammy thing, because I've heard this ho on for years. I personally loved what both guys brought to van Halen. Both very talented guys. But if I had to work with one, I'd pick Sammy, because he is professional and brings a team player spirit with him. Lots of respect for Sammy

I believe it was a combination.. Listen to the RollingStone podcast interview from June 2021... Taylor Hawkins already knew he had an enlarged heart.. and he had terrible stage fright plus bad shoulder pain...

I've been saying that for years about analogue mixing: imposes boundaries for higher level creativity and more authentic art-'mixing' NOT 'editing'.

This is the first thing I’ve been able to watch since his passing, actually made me feel good

They are so adorable together! Noticed Taylor didn't answer the Dave or Sammy question. Very slick! What a terrible loss. My heart goes out to David and everyone who feels this loss.

I mean, I wouldn't say 90, I don't know the circumstance of Taylor's death, but I do know he was pretty heavy into heroin and cocaine back in the early days of foo fighters, to the point that he had his teeth replaced fully. My first thought when I heard was that he's around that age that heavy drug use in the past can catch up with you, or maybe he relapsed, God forbid he didn't commit suicide.

Sammy has always been my favorite. I even have a 10-13 tattoo. And I have just recently become just as big of a Foo Fighters (Especially Dave Grohl) fan girl. This is my happy place. Doesn't get any better than this - unless I was there too : )
