I was a massive Dave Dee Dozy Beaky Mick and Tich fan, bought all of their records (still have them) and drove my mom and dad crazy playing them over and over again, I was broken hearted when David Harman died, too young in my opinion xx

Absolutely heartbreaking that dear Tich, a stunning guitarist and singer, has just died. He’s irreplaceable. We’ll all say goodbye to him on the 18th March 24 at 12.00 midday at Salisbury Crematorium. A most loyal and decent friend, and a master musician. Those harmonies. 😢😢😢 Farewell Tich. ❤️❤️ .

When the Beatles and others were playing in Hamburg, so were DDBMT, and it took longer for them to be "discovered". By that time, they were speaking German, and were including all the cheeky and comedic stuff in their stage act. They were totally accomplished in the 60s, and, in the above performance 3 of the 5 originals were still there, Dave Dee, Dozy (bass), and Tich (lead guitar). Real professionals, entertainers, and far more talented than most of their peers.

I was the drummer in a band called ‘The Candy Stripes’ back in ‘66 (I was 13) and supported these guys at a gig in Birmingham. What a great bunch of guys, shared a dressing room and Tich turned up and chatted for ages with me before we went on to open. I was so star struck! We’d only ever seen them on TOTP, and here we were, aspiring pop stars living the dream!!! Their act was so professional and entertaining. Brilliant bunch of guys, charming and great fun. I can’t remember the venue but the manager booked us the same night to stay on and do a second set that night in the night club downstairs. Happy memories.

My father loved you with Xanadu, Zabadak and many other Songs. Unfortunately My father passend away last year RIP

Ahh, wonderful memories from this absolutely class act. The Legend of Xanadu & Don Juan are 2 of my all time favourite songs. Will never get sick of them.

Superb.

I met these guys when they brought The Best of British to New Zealand back in the early 1990s, talking to them after the show they siad it was like playing back in the Uk in the 60s except the hair was grey what a great bunch of lads

My favorit Group in the 60's Today i play with my Oldieband many Songs from this Group. R.I.P Dave & Dozy. And Thanks for a good fantastic Time. This Music never comes back.

I'm 29 and seeing this brings memories of my dad every Sunday playing Dave Dee. I've never told him but they are a great band.

GRRREAT to see DAVE DEE with the other boys- my favourite band in the sixties.....

Tich was their secret weapon. A phenomenal guitarist.

Too underrated like Dave Davies of the Kinks

In my youth they were my #2 right after the Beatles, Dave was a great entertainer

I saw these guys at the Les Grey memorial gig about 12 years ago. At the time the struck me as so professional and musically tight. This clip proves it. :-)

Just discovered these guys today. Man! these guys were and are really talented. They should have been bigger here in the USA. I don't understand why they were not more well known here. Our loss for sure. Love the song "Hold Tight".

Don't get carried away. They got lucky & in the 60s anything goes, silly but good songs wrote by goodness knows. Better live than I thought.

these guys know how to set the place alight. they know how to rock. R.I.P ; DAVE DEE and DOZY.

To keep their short-names DDDBM&T in mind for me was much more easy than other things in school at that time...REAL heroes of my youth.....

They give me since the sixties so many good feelings - saw them in Antwerp - super !!!!!

For me Dave Dee,Dozy,Beaky,Mick+Tich were+are always to be remembered !!! Besides the fact,that they have been a real "Hit-factory",these guys always stayed "normal+human" ... And this vid is such a great hits-compilation(although some other hits aren't included!!) + I like to watch it again !! Thanx for sharing !!!

They sound great. I saw there just after the Legend of Xanadu had been released and they were amazing. Great band. Tich was a member of The Troggs for a short period in 1978.

So sorry that I only managed to see them once but they were so good, absolutely before their time and easy to see where the Sweet got some of their ideas and sounds from !

I met Beaky in the early 2000s when he played a solo gig in Croydon. He invited me and my then wife to sit with him and his wife and chatted away about the 60s. Lovely man.

I really missed this songs how many times I played in our stereo I was 9 years old I dance and dance this music😍🤩

One of the most successful chart bands of the 60's - by the 70's Mick Wilson was a driving instructor in Salisbury - such was the way that they were ripped off! I would have loved to have seen them live!

Have been a fan of there's for 50 plus years and never tire of their music but Tich on lead guitar in this video is fantastic, but sadly Tich has now retired from the band.

Dave Dee sure had some stories to tell.....like when he as a young police man had to browse through unfortunate Eddie Cochran's belongings and get things in order after the car crash of April 17 1960..... and for a short while had Eddie's famous orange Gretch guitar in possesion......🎸

They came and played my home town a year or two before this video was filmed (which blew my mind as nobody else ever did) and they were phenomenal. They (along with the Troggs) were a huge influence on the band my friend and I would go on to form after we left school.

They were always a talented live band. I used to drum on the school desk to "Save me".

Amazing band! Great harmonies, songs. Excelent showman.

Saw them many times - always absolutely brilliant live. First time was about the time of "No Time" when they did their crazy stage act, which was later deemed too dangerous with their popularity! This looks like the original line-up.

Ich hatte das grosse Glück Dave Dee in unserer kleinen Stadt mal zu erleben. Es regnete in Strömen Open Air aber ich hätte gern eine Lungenentzündung für ihn in Kauf genommen.♥️♥️

Aber wusstet Ihr, dass Dave Dee als Polizeischüler 1960 den tödlichen Unfall von Eddie Cochran aufgenommen hat..? Ich finde das im Hinblick darauf, dass er selbst ein erfolgreicher Musiker wurde bemerkenswert......
