First discovered Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel at school in 1973….everyone was into glam rock T Rex, Bowie, Slade, Sweet etc but I got a loan of The Human Menagerie album of that year and after hearing the classic & very powerful “Sebastian” track I was hooked! After the break up of the original band Harley went on to release many albums but the most underrated for me was 1976 “Timeless Flight” which contains 2 gems….All Men are Hungry and Understand….well worth a listen. Keep writing and playing Steve you are a legend👌

After the gig we packed up pretty sharpish as we thought we were gonna get lynched of stuffed in a wicker man or something equally horrible, but as we tried to make our escape, they crowd kept coming up and telling us how much they'd enjoyed it.
