You're right.. dogs shouldn't be "weapons" however, there's absolutely NOTHING wrong with having a dog trained for protection.. Of course, that includes REAL training. If a dog's just aggressive and wants to attack everyone, that's NOT a protection dog.. that's a liability !

@@deadpanturtle Dog intelligence can't be compared to human intelligence/emotion.. For one, dogs are FAR smarter & second, they aren't people.. I don't think ANYONE would support sending a child to war lol. But , a dog trained to protect, is FAR from a "child at war" and it isn't really even a logical comparison... I'm fully capable of protecting myself & my family.. but I also work ! If I'm not home, I at least know my dogs are going to do whatever they need in order to keep my family safe!! If course, NOBODY wants their dog to get hurt or killed by some crazy person breaking in.. But, would you rather it be a child ? Or a dog ? I'm picking the dog everytime !! The 70 something year old lady down the road could have been brutally assaulted/robbed and even killed if her dog wasn't trained to "protect" her.. She doesn't own guns & couldn't handle one if she did & OBVIOUSLY can't fight off 2 adult/younger drug addicts in her own.. should she just give up life & check into a nursing/old folks home instead? I understand YOU don't have the need for a protection dog & don't agree with it . But, they do have their place and AREN'T just "disposable tools" they're still family members !

I got to work with Dave Bautista as his handler over a two day period. The way you see him here is exactly how he is in person; incredibly kind, quiet, genuine, humble and considerate of everyone. He is legitimately a good human being.

I agree. He was one of my clients just as he was debuting in the WWE. I met him before I saw him in the ring and it was like night and day his character vs his gentle and kind personality. I’ve been rooting for his success since then. The fact that he is rescuing and adopting dogs, especially pit bulls, makes me love him even more.

@@decepticonmecha this was long before he was an actor, and before he was even a big WWE star. I worked with sever of the WWE wrestlers, both well known and unknown, and he was by far the nicest and most generous. He had absolutely no reason to be kind to me or anyone else in our office.

This massive, trained-to-fight human has 4 pitbulls and he trained them to run and stay safe. That's love right there.

Dave Bautista is the perfect example of what masculinity should be, protective, warm, empathetic, kind, strong, loving, humble and secure in oneself and those qualities. Truly an inspiration, and should be an inspiration to all men. Also pitties are fantastic dogs and I'm so glad he's picked this breed to rescue, they get so much undeserved hatred.

@@apbtthebest4049 Pit Bulls run the gamut of sizes and shapes. Read the UKC standards. Short and stocky to tall and lanky. My family bred Pits going back to over 100 years ago. We bred Colby lines. I've seen you copy/paste the same comment on other videos with Pit Bulls, you're just an idiot.

@@chadmyron2552 the only and real pit bull is the American Pit Bull Terrier. The English Staff ( England ) and the Irish Dog known as the Old Family ( Ireland) created the Pit Bull . Once those dogs were imported to America. The Dogs were bred together to create the Pit Bull and Chauncey Bennet ( United Kennel Club) register them as the American Pit Bull Terrier in 1898 .

Dog rescuer, LGBT+ ally, gentle soul, kind person, smart, great actor. Dave Bautista is a good human.

My running route with my 2 pitties takes me by his house and I have been trying to figure out the dinos for years lol

That Dave loves his dogs so much he thought to have them trained to hide in case of an intruder or something is just so heart warming. We hear all these stories about dogs protecting their humans from all sorts of things, sometimes to the dog's detriment, so having a human think of protecting the dogs first just makes my heart so full.

Especially with the horror stories of cops walking into someone’s property & shooting dogs on sight regardless if the dog is doing nothing. It just makes sense in today’s society, sadly.

Met Dave in 2005 when I was ten, outside a pizza shop in Boston before a wrestling show. Saw him across the street and asked my old man if we could go ask him for an autograph and my dad was totally not into crossing the street to go bother this behemoth of a man, but he swallowed his pride and brought me over there and asked him for me. Dave was very quiet and not particularly warm in an outward way, (probably got hounded constantly and was traveling non stop, so not making a judgement, actually seemed kinda shy about the whole thing ) but he wasn't too big of a star to sign an autograph outside a pizza shop before for a ten year old fan and his dad. Told him good luck against Triple H and gave me a smirk and a pat on the back and thanked me. Solid ass dude that gave me a a cool memory for life. +rep for being a pit bull dad. Love this guy forever.

I feel Batista's "pain" over his pup getting concerned when he gets upset. I can't even play video games around my pittie anymore. If I yell at the TV she runs over to make sure I'm ok 😂😂

The fact that he trained his dogs to hide just shows an unsurmountable love for them. Especially with the way pitties are often framed as being aggressive.

I need a cute romcom with Dave and his dogs in it once the writers strike is over

Damn it! Here comes the tears 😢 My first Pitty was only 4 weeks when we got him. He had been tossed out a sunroof of a car going about 60 miles an hour. Beanie was our life. My twins and just started kindergarten and he never left their side from that day until the day he passed over the rainbow bridge from kidney disease 😔 He was a true ambassador for the breed.

For years I have only know Dave Batista to be the biggest guy with a heart just as big. His love for dogs, his desire to be in a RomCom (Would pay all the money to see that movie) and his amazing career out of wrestling and movie making. This was just that good food for my brain. 12/10.

Dave is such a gentle giant ❤.. I am a 64 year old, husband, father and grandpa. I have been rescuing dogs since I was 7 years old. My kind of rescue is different. When I see a dog loose, I have to stop what I’m doing, and get a leash around it and get it back home. Because dogs are not meant to be loose in traffic. I carry dog treats and a couple rope leashes. I stopped counting at 100 dogs back home 20 years ago. You throw the treats to them and be patient and try to get them to come to you. I have had a dog or 2 since I was born. I have never bought a dog. Bless you big dave and this channel!

I thought I couldn’t appreciate Dave more, but seeing him with his dogs with their big happy tongues & his awesome lawn sculptures has made him even more admirable ❤

I worked with Dave Bautista's mom Donna years ago. He was nice enough to personally sign a WWE poster of himself for me. His love of dogs makes me an even bigger fan of his.

The way he almost shed tears when he told pennys story. That’s deep.

I am a dog walker and love to see a big celebrity talking about adopting dogs and specially pitbull. I constantly see how people react negatively when I am walking them but in reality they are the sweetest dogs.

It’s from the stigma that them and rotts are the dogs used most in dogfighting also because a pit bull jaw is like tiger sharks once it gets a hold something they are hard to pry off but in reality people forget dogs are animals any dog breed can be dangerous under certain circumstances

Dave is one of those guys that started in wrestling, and now has broken out of that and is becoming or is an amazing actor with a lot of depth to the characters he plays.

👈 This was my first rescue Cesar. I lost him at 13 last summer. Best dog I've ever had! Thanks Dave for being a awesome human!

Every interview I see with Dave just makes me like and respect him even more. A mountain of a man who's spent his life playing "big scary dude who could snap in you in half" when he's actually a gentle giant. Completely agree with his "adopt don't shop" philosophy. I've had dogs all my life and they've all been rescue's.

He's got such a huge, kind heart. Lovely dogs. They got a great forever home.

Dude the way he instantly turns into Bautista the wrestler for 5 seconds is incredible. That’s is truly having “it”. Plus everything else in this vid. What a guy!

It’s refreshing to see such a famous man NOT full of himself! His dogs are unashamedly paramount in his life as he continually strives to improve professionally. What a wonderful wholesome chat between dog lovers! Incidentally, I suggest Dwayne Johnson and Henry Cavil, possibly POTUS!

I respect him for adopting pitties. My daughter adopted Vera, her pittie, and traveled around the country she saved my daughter was saved by a predator who attacked her. She and Vera have settled in Oregon.Thank God.

I absolutely admire how genuine he is! Just so rare!

"We' too have saved a lot of dogs over the years. We have a Pit, Luna Beam we saved 2 years ago. And just today a dog my wife fostered for 2 months was returned and we decided to keep him. The woman had him one day. Leo was one of 85 dogs that were saved from one home in Mansfield, Ohio. A lot of them that had been adopted were returned. For lack of a better description, they're almost feral. But we worked with Leo and he did get better. So now we finish the adventure. Great interview.

Dave is a lovely man! And 4 beautiful dogs too.
